Jenny glanced at Bryan with a questioning look upon her face when asked by the man where it was they were going. She did not really know this person or anything about them, except a vague title, that he knew how to bring down a monster, and that they were good at escaping weird looking cages.
Jenny walked up beside Bryan and smiled. Since she was unsure as to what to tell this person she said the first thing that came to her mind. “We were going to go in a taxi.” She grinned brightly. Monsters she could face down anytime, but riding in a taxi? That was new and exciting.

Bryan looked between the two, smiling at Jenny. "We were going to the place I work. We can store him there until we figure out what to do with him. Might be a bit difficult transporting him by taxi, but I'll see what we can do. Luckily he's stuck stiff, so perhaps we could say its a prop or something."

Jenny remembered what Bryan had said about the taxi taking awhile to come, so she focused her interest and attention onto the bound creature laying unceremoniously on the ground. She had never seen anything like it… well I suppose it has a hath-ish appearance in a vague sort of way. It is definitely not a pet. She thought wondering where this left them now. A comatose creature, a general, and they still needed to see about hiding her ship away until she could fix it. “So, what is it?” She asked curiously, indicating the monster.

"Some sort, of dinosaur human hybrid, we'd need a lab to take a proper look at it, probably woulodn't fit in the taxis around here," Then he realised what was strange about her, she was a companion of the Doctor! Of course, he always liked picking them up. "Do you know someone called The Doctor?" He asked the woman.

It seemed to her, that her desires to try riding across town in a taxi were not to happen, at least not on this evening. However something un-expectant and pleasant did happen. Once again she heard someone mention her father. At the mention of his name Jenny’s face lit-up like a tree at Christmas. “The Doctor? Oh yes!” She said. How she wished that her time with him and Donna had lasted more than mere hours. She remembered that time as if it had happened only yesterday. A year she had been searching to no avail until by happy accident she had crashed onto this world. It was her first and best led to finding him. A slightly haunted look crept into her eyes at her last memory of him. She had been dying and he… “It’s been so long…”

Bryan listened to then as he looked over the creature. "We have a lab at Torchwood we could use." He then stared at the General as he spoke again. "You know the Doctor too? I honestly thought that he was some fairy tale or something."

"Torchwood eh? I've been trying to get in there for years, i'd really like to see what's in there," he said to Bryan, "Doc? He's no fairy tale, we were friends at school you know, but anyway, I know where Torchwood is, did you ever work with Captain Jack before he left?"

Jenny listened as Bryan and the General discussed Torchwood and her father. But something was wrong. How could he know my father from school? I thought my dad was the last of his kind? She thought as a creeping feeling made its way like ice through her veins. He is lying; he would have to be. He said everything was destroyed; unless there were other alien species that he went to school with. She made every attempt to keep the distrust from her face; the confusion, and the feeling that all was not right. "So you know him from school..."

"No, I didn't. He was before my time, I think. Actually, we weren't really told about him. I had to dig up on him myself," Bryan said, looking to Jenny as she voiced a thought of his own.

Jenny felt eyes upon her and she glanced over to see that Bryan was looking towards her. Her inner turmoil reflected within her eyes. Then she said it, the thing that was weighing upon her mind. “I thought all the Time Lords had been destroyed along with their planet? If they are all gone how it is that you know him from when he was in school?”

"Where do you think he got schooled?" The General said, inspecting the creature, "this was before the Time Lords were destroyed, i'm supposed to be dead, but somehow, i'm not, so, were you two ever... together?"

Jenny gave a noncommittal shrug. “Not sure where he went to school, but I would assume it would be wherever he was born.” She said. “Isn’t that where most children go to school?” She asked inquisitively. Then a slight grin once again transformed her face. “That’s great; I’m supposed to be dead to. I’m not sure why I’m not dead. I got shot and then I was dead and then… I wasn’t dead anymore… I’ve only seen him that day I was killed. He wasn’t very happy to see me at first actually. But I was supposed to go with him and Donna but I suppose they thought me dead to.” She frowned. “Waking up before your own funeral is really kinda...” Her voice trailed off and she shrugged again and shook her head at the confusing memory. She had been dead, there was no question, and so why was she still alive? What was it that brought her back? Even the bullet wound had vanished. She thought.

He banged his sonic screwdriver against the wall, making it make a small vreep. He pressed the button, and the sonic screwdriver started to work, after close to 3 years. He scanned the girl, "What's your name anyway?" He asked as he read the cracked screen, and scanned the girl again. He was surprised at the results, A human-Time Lord hybrid?

The device he held was ever so familiar. She had seen one a lot like it within the hands of her father. The familiar sounds it made were almost a comfort. It had been so long since she had heard that whirling, buzzing, sonic sound. Jenny smiled brightly “I’m Jenny!” She said brightly, and almost proudly. She liked the name that Donna had picked out for her. She cocked her head to the side slightly and pointed at the glowing whirling device in the Generals hand. “What is that?” She asked with all of the intense and cheerful curiosity… of a three year old.

"Sonic screwdriver, yeah?" Bryan asked the General. So, the Time Lords aren't all gone, it seems. But what are they doing here? Jenny crash-landed here, possibly from the Rift, but how did this General guy get here? He wanted to be careful of them, especially with his weapon and shirt at home.
