Breck finally caught up to both of them. "Oh great. What are we going to do, go up and ask if we can sell them some magazine subscriptions? Doctor, all this truckin' around planets and stuff is really great but y'know, I got stock to feed and cows to milk! Hopefully that twister didn't do too much damage and I still got a house and truck left to my name. Can't we just get back now?"

"Don't worry, we'll be back in time for the 5 o'clock milking. But come now, you can't say you're not just a little bit curious?" The Doctor looked at Breck with a slight appealing nature, almost like a child begging to be allowed to stay up for five minutes more. "If we go back now we might never find out who happens to be living on a supposedly inhabitable planet!"
Mind made up with or without the cowgirl's consent he started walking at an angle to the building. "I think a direct approach might be a bit risky, let's just survey the property first, shall we?"

Tyler nodded at the Doctor. "Sure -- you've probably had more experience with this sort of thing than either of us...at least I hope you have. Who would make a shack out of metal, and where did they get the metal? Or how did they process it, if they mined it from Mars?"
Tyler sighed. He turned to Breck, "If that ship can travel in time, then we should be good...he could bring us right back to where we were...though preferably after that tornado hit...."
Tyler stared at the metal shack with interest. Not seeing any other choice, he trudged on after the Doctor.

(Well, as the other people in this thread went inactive....it's just Eight and I in this thread. I'm going to put it on hold until Eight returns. I'm hoping that Eight comes back  Post in the plotting OOC area if you have any ideas of what we can do.) |
