Rahul was watching with amusement at this and at Maya who was fascinated for once to many but it was amazing to see this look often then at her mother’s amused face to which he was sure she enjoyed him being in trouble and he was happy Maya was there with him. Maya was more surprised as she knocked Rahul slightly, but silently apologized which he was okay with and soon looked out “Mars?” she wandered at the Doctor and Rahul who walked over to her and stared out for few minutes “Peaceful though” he said in Maya’s ears and smiled, well he was fine with it like his motorbike doing it’s odd thing. Maya looked at him “Very nice” though Rahul just made a quizzed look to him they all seemed very bizarre whatever they were wearing in those types of suits. “Just don’t ask me for my opinion” he said with a snigger.

"Any one of them should be fine. If you need me to show you how to put it on that's no problem." The Doctor simply plucked one from the stand, not bothering to check it over first. He picked up another and tossed it over to Breck. "Come come! Let's not dawdle! Time's a-wasting!"

Tyler nodded, "Right....."
He ran after the Doctor, wondering where the alien would take them. He hoped that this Doctor knew what he was doing, and that they wouldn't die as soon as they went outside.
Talking into the suite, he wondered whether the Doctor would be able to hear him. "So....here we are....do you think we'll get to see martians?"
He wondered what a martian would look like. Would they be green and slimy? With eyes sticking up on their heads, he didn't know for sure.
"And isn't there water on this planet?"

Breck wasn't prepared when the Doctor tossed over a bundle of material and tubing and she dropped it. Muttering to herself she picked it up and as she hurriedly walked after them, trying to figure out how to don the odd contraption.
"C'mon, you couldn't give me the instructional manuel as well? I don't know how to wear this thing! I'm liable to put it on inside out and die as soon as you open that door!" She held up what appeared to be a helmet and marveled for a moment the flexibility of the view screen. If it were glass or plastic it would show creases from being folded but when she smoothed it out it was as smooth and crystal as it it had been flat from its first moment. "This stuff would be great as a windshield for my truck. Hey! Where can I get some of this? hey? Where'd y'all go?"

"Here we are" the Doctor popped his head from within a small locker near the door."Just wanted to pick up some extra items I might need. Here, let me help you with that."
He showed Breck how to don the protective suit which, as soon as the proper tucks and connections had been made, seemed to be as thin as a jogging suit and just as comfortable. "I've encountered martians before, sometimes called the Ice Warriors, and they've been both enemies and friends. All depends on the current circumstances, I suppose. No, at this point I have no idea which they'll, be, that's why we have to investigate. To find out, correct?" He flashed them both an impish grin through the viewscreen of his own suit. "Here, tap the side of your left ear, that'll activate the microphones. Now just stay by me, don't go bounding off by yourself and you should be all right. Oh, and if you see anything out of the ordinary, let me know, all right?"
Having said that he turned and opened the TARDIS door.

"'Out of the ordinary' Is he serious?" Breck turned to Tyler, tapping the side as the Doctor had instructed. "I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary since I came into this..this....whatever it is!"

Rahul certainly contained his laughter as he put one on and chucked one at Maya before heading out stopping at the door, waiting… “How do you do this?” she questioned and Rahul sighed 5 minutes and he was still helping her “why are you so fidgety with these” he complained… few more minutes later he had managed to get it on her with great difficulty “Don’t ever ask again, I understand why your family get annoyed” he said moving along with a more limp “and my leg is no better there” Maya followed Rahul she was still shocked “Mars!” she wandered still “Wow hasn’t changed like my cousin” he mumbled and the pair looked on “Where to?” Rahul asked Maya “ummm that way” she asked pointing some random way and walked on followed by Rahul.

Tyler glanced at Beck and tapped his helmet as well, "Do we have to tap it every time we want to talk? Or is this first tap good enough?" He glanced to the Doctor, hoping that he would answer him.
He nodded at Breck. Mars? They were actually going to walk on martian soil. He followed the Doctor towards the TARDIS door, stepping outside once it was opened. Not sure whether or not he could talk again without tapping his helmet, he waited for the Doctor's reply.

"Oh the first tap just turns it on, you can simply talk now." the Doctor answered. He stepped through the TARDIS opened door and held his hands out as if he were a realtor agent showing clients the neighborhood. Before them stretched a vast red plain of rocks and dust, with reddish mountains in the background. "Magnificent! I never tire of this view."

As Tyler stepped outside, he looked all around himself, wondering why the Doctor loved this view so much. It looked like a pile of rocks everywhere that he looked.
Shrugging, he turned back to the Doctor and replied, "Thank you....space travel and space suits....all new to me. So, what are we supposed to see here? I mean, are there actually martians?"

"Most likely not, at this time I believe they've left for greener pastures. Or planet, as it were. Hmmm." The Doctor took out an odd-looking instrument from his pocket and held it up. "Ah yes, yes. As I thought. Very high readings in...." he waved it slowly back and forth before settling on a direction. "This way! Come on!"

Tyler had no one else to trust, so he followed the Doctor....even if unsure of meeting aliens himself. He secretly hoped that these martians wouldn't be dangerous, and that all would be well. Glancing back at Breck, he told her, "The Doctor says we only need to tap the helmet once.....so what do you think of this?"
He trudged along after the Doctor.

"What d'I think?" Breck gasped. "I think I must've hit my head when I swerved my truck, that's what I think! My body's lying behind the steering wheel probaly bleedin' to death and my mind jes' decided to go off to La-La Land! That's what I think!" She was having a hard time getting accustomed to the life support suit and her viewport fogged slightly as she breathed hard on it. "I mean, first I'm headin' home from th' market and now I'm traispin' all over Mars! What's next, a dip in th' Milky Way?"

Tyler glanced at Breck. He could sympathize with her feelings, but there was a part of him in which this traveling felt almost natural to him. In response to Breck, he spoke up again. "You didn't hit your head, and you're all right. Look, I have this thing that always helps me feel comforted. If we weren't wearing our suits, I'd let you hold it. It's real, and old, and metal....and...and when you hold it....you just know that you're alive and everything is going to be all right."
"And....well....we are already in the Milky Way galaxy.....we've been in the galaxy our entire lives...we're just on another planet.....that's all....."
The suit had been a bit difficult for Tyler to adjust to as well. He normally had a bit of a breathing problem anyway, but he was used to discomfort with his breathing, so he didn't really mind the suit that much.

The Doctor had out-paced them a few yards and was once more studying the instrument. "Now that's peculiar," he muttered. "The trace seems to have disappeared."
