Bryan didn't like this at all, people volunteering themselves up to get rid of the Daleks. Owen, even Jenny, who had no tie to this planet besides her father. He sighed, about to volunteer himself, but then a hologram of the General tied up in a -- was it a chair? -- appeared before them. "Oh, well, there he is again."

The Doctor sighed -- the hologram projector had broken, and he just hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet, rendering it impossible for him to receive messages that way. However, it had been some time since he had been on Earth last. Setting his coordinates for Earth, Cardiff to be exact, he let out another sigh.
He had no companion with him, and yet he had to recharge the TARDIS with the energy from the rift. He thought back to other times that he had recharged it, remembering the companions that had been with him.
Upon landing, however, alarms sounded inside the console room. When the Doctor rushed around the console to look at them, he yelled out loud, "No, no! It can't be! It's got to be wrong. Daleks...why do they always live?"
(Guys -- time doesn't have to be linear between boards and threads -- as it's all a bunch of timey whimey stuff, and stuff that goes on in one board doesn't have to correspond to other boards. Davros is in charge of the Daleks, yes, but other people can create Daleks. Those Daleks would be in submission to Davros -- that or they would have to belong to a sect that doesn't recognize Davros as its leader)

Jenny gave Owen a bright radiant smile. “Your don’t have to go alone, I’ve done the dying bit as well. Not fun at all that. But for a good cause…” She remembered the time she had taken a bullet for someone else. Someone more important, someone worth dying for.
Yes, there are things worth dying for. She thought as the General made yet another appearance. She couldn’t help but to wonder if he was going to keep doing that. “I suppose I can go after the General while you play with the ships engines. ‘Can’t just leave him there.” She said, not so sure that HE was worth dying for.
A strange alarm went off within the facility and a red light flashed angrily. “What is that?” Her eyes flickered onto a monitor screen that showed a strangely familiar blue box. She had not seen a box like that since the day she had been born. It had been in the same room with her, her father, Donna, and Martha. She felt her hearts leap.

"Proximity alert," Bryan said, running off to check the monitor. "No... Well, this guy's got perfect timing." He looked over at the group. "Seems the Doctor is in."
(God that was so cheesy!)

The Valeayard heart skipped a bit at the mention of the Dalek Emperor, he’s last meeting with that particular creature had not been a pleasant one. But things appeared to be getting worse with the minute, Time Lords could recognize each other. It was not a surprise that he felt the presence hit him as soon as the TARDIS materialized. Unfortunately and even worse news for him, this wasn’t any Time Lord.
It was of course at the worse(or best for the humans and the Earth) timing that the Doctor himself would show himself up. The Valeyard didn’t even wish to know which version of his previous self it was. As pf now the only thing he wanted to do was get out of there, get out of the Earth and be on his way. Probably to some type of Holiday planet, he needed some time off after this little trip.
Thinking about it, he had visited a planet a few years back that probably had the TARDIS part in he needed now. He could probably go there, it wasn’t like they needed them. Their savior was here now. The Valeyard fixed his coat and looked around the room, the attention now on the flashing lights and arrival of the blue police box. “Well I guess I can be in my way now.”

Looking at Jenny, Owen was a bit taken back what she said that she did the dying bit. So his simply reply was a confused and concerned look. He would protest her to stay but they all have to give away their life to save the plane. The problem was Owen will die and that would be it. He was curious about Jenny saying she did the dying part. He was about to ask but…
“Great! He is here!” Owen looked at the blue box. “I think we need to still have to stick out plan. I am not sure the Doctor has the power to stop them all himself. I think?” Owen was scared of course. Who else would not be.

"It's the Doctor, they're his greatest enemy," Bryan said, muttering to himself quietly, "... and mine..." Then he continued in his normal tone. "I'm coming too. There's no need for me to just sit around and twiddle my thumbs when I could be of whatever, even if minimal, help."

Sighing in frustration, the Doctor ran to the TARDIS doors, opening them wide. Once he had stepped through, he hastily locked the TARDIS doors. Only one thought went through his mind. He must get to Torchwood. They had to be aware of what was going on. Although he never liked the idea of Torchwood, he knew Jack, and he knew that Jack's Torchwood was different -- at least a little different from the one that had previously existed.
And they needed weapons -- not just Earth weapons, but alien weapons. They had to defend themselves. Torchwood was the only place that he knew of that had that sort of weaponry and defense equipment.
Not wanting to really do this, he dialed the main Torchwood number.

Bryan's head snapped up as he heard the phone ring. "So, you guys going to answer or should I?" he asked. He looked around at the group. "Anyone? No?"
He picked up the receiver. "Yep?"

Her suspicions were confirmed with Bryan’s cheesy comment. The Doctor had made his way here. If only I had found this planet sooner, she mused. She was sure her dad could find the solution to anything. He was a proper general in her mind. She had even told him that once even though he denied it.
She looked at the monitors screen, breath held and excitement and hope surging through her. She bounced slightly on her feet and her face was lit up with hope and expectations. When she saw the familiar face and the familiar form rush from out of the blue box the hope and expectations turned into pure happiness and joy.
She hadn’t seen him in such a long time and he had not changed a bit. She was hard pressed to take her eyes from the Doctor but she jumped slightly at the ring of the strange communications device. It took her a moment to realize what it was but she was too distracted by the man on the monitor to let it take away her focus for long.
Her initial reaction was to jump back on that platform and to demand that they send her back up but she took a calming breath and tried to control her excitement and impatience.
She noticed that the Doctor held a communications device that was similar to the one Bryan used earlier and she took a quick glance back at Bryan wondering if it was him. “The… Doctor will figure out this mess,” she said affectionately and with assurance. It felt and sounded odd to her calling him anything but dad.

Owen blinked when the phone rang and the young Torchwood member answered the phone. Owen was stunned. He saw the excitement in Jenny's eyes.
Owen crossed his arms and look at Brian wonder who he think who he was. It was an aggravated look from Owen too. Owen lifted his eyebrows at the youngster. He pointed to his chest and moved his lips so that Brian can read it. He worded with no vocal sound 'second in command here!'

(Right....and don't expect Ten to be delighted to meet you, General ) Ten heard the response, being unfamiliar with all of the Torchwood workers. "Hello...is Jack there?" He knew that phone numbers sometimes changed when humans decided to switch numbers or whatever. Not certain that he had actually reached Torchwood, he simply did what he'd observed humans doing -- asking if the person that he was trying to reach was there. Since Jack was the only member of Torchwood that he knew for sure that he knew, he figured that was a safe question. If this happened to be a wrong number, the person on the other end of the line would simply tell him that he had the wrong number. However, a deep frown crossed his face as he heard someone that he didn't recognize -- a voice he couldn't quite place -- using his name. It was evident that someone at that number knew him. However, it didn't sound like Jack. It was possible that it was someone who worked for Torchwood. Knowing how Jack was, he'd probably shown his picture to everyone on the Torchwood team. Going off this assumption, he spoke again. "So, I have reached Torchwood, then?" He would wait for an affirmation.

Owen reached over and press the speaker on the phone. He did not want to god mod stealing the phone here. "Yes Doctor. You reached Torchwood," Owen said to the speaker and his eyes looking at the blue police box. "Jack is not here. I am Owen Harper. Are you locked inside your...ship?" Owen did not know how that box can be a ship. But he had worked with Torchwood and he saw weird things .

Bryan looked over at over and put the receiver on the table. There were some times when he regretted working with Owen, but this wasn't the time for that. "So, are we going to introduce everyone here or are you going to take control of this conversation?" He stuck his hands in his pockets as he leaned back a little.
