The Doctor looked to the person at the desk. "Would that be all right?" he asked the person.
Tyler noticed Kendra's reaction and whispered, "Do you want to get examined?"
Melissa stood by the Doctor, watching him. She'd thought he was good looking before, but the light in the medical facility made this all the more evident.

Kendra looked to Tyler. "I don't know. I know it might be a good idea. It's been a while since I've had a check-up," she whispered back. "But I don't know if I trust this place."

Tyler whispered back to Kendra, "It'll be fine...the Doctor trusts it enough to get his own check up there."
The Doctor sighed, waiting for someone to answer him.

The Doctor grinned. "Good....we'll just be waiting in the....waiting room." He looked around until he spotted it. "And I'm John Smith, this is Tyler, Melissa, and Kendra." He pointed to each of them before walking in the direction of the waiting room.
Melissa and Tyler followed the Doctor.

Kendra stared at the Doctor as she followed. "How do you know my name is Kendra?" she whispered She remembered telling Melissa that her name was Tempest. How did this guy know her real name? How much else did he know about her?

The Doctor shrugged, "I.....I.......it's on the tag of your shirt....sorry...."
He'd noticed the tag sticking up earlier and had seen her name written on that. Melissa looked at both the Doctor and Kendra in surprise. Melissa glanced around at the comfy blue chairs in the waiting room.

Kendra looked back at the tag and quickly tucked it back in, cursing a little. "Oh, that. Yeah..." She tried to calm herself down again. There had to be a few Kendra's out there in the... universe. It would take her a while to get used to using that phrase.

The Doctor turned to the group and said, "Now, we just wait until they call our names......very similar to Earth...I think....." The Doctor had never really been to an appointment like this on Earth, though, so he really didn't know. He just hoped he was right.
Melissa nodded, explaining, "Yes....you're right." She could see that the Doctor was confused. Tyler sighed, knowing that he would probably be called first.

Kendra went to go sit down. She hoped there wouldn't be many questions from this group about her name. She knew it would lead to questions about her past. And they could only lead to the fact that she shouldn't be alive. She frowned at that possibility.

The Doctor noticed that Kendra was nervous, but didn't really know what to say.
Melissa turned to Kendra and whispered, "Can you believe we're at some doctor's office on another planet?"
Tyler sat there silently, starting to get slightly nervous.

"Yeah, I know," Kendra said, looking at the nurses and doctors. They didn't look too busy, but what did she know about alien hospitals? She noticed a few of them seemed to regard the humans oddly, as if they were something strange. She didn't like the way they looked at her. "God, I hate hospitals," she muttered under her breath.

One of the doctors at the hospital asked one of the nurses, "Go get one of these new patients and bring them to my office."
The Doctor explained to them, "They can't really tell the difference between a Time Lord and a human....or a human and any number of species....but they do have a scanner that scanned all of us. They know that all of you are human. I'm the odd one."
Tyler shrugged, "Okay."

Kendra couldn't help feeling nervous about the idea of them already knowing what she was. Could the scans tell that she was a mutant?
The nurse looked to the group and went to Melissa. "The doctor will see you now."

Melissa looked surprised that one of the nurses had told her that a doctor would be seeing her first. "All right," she answered, walking over to the nurse.
Tyler and the Doctor both watched her walk away..
The hospital seemed quiet to Melissa, but she knew that there were other people there. Was it even a hospital? She didn't know. The Doctor had referred to it as a medical facility. It was fancy, though. She just hoped that these nurses and doctors would be able to know the difference between a human and whatever they were.
