Kendra looked at them and sighed. "I messed up. Okay." She took a deep breath. "People aren't really sure how it happens, but something in the human genes triggers a mutation at adolescence. It does different things to different people. I got the ability to manipulate water."

The Doctor frowned at Kendra. "Why haven't I heard of this before? It sounds like there might be alien involvement.....something like that shouldn't be happening within the human world...."
Tyler, who had just gone outside passed out. No one who walked by paid him any mind. They just walked by him or around him.

"Don't know what human world you've seen, but it's growing more and more common," Kendra said, then realized what she was saying. She glanced around nervously. A few were staring at them. She saw a finger pointed at her. She reached into her bag and put the money for her order on the table. "That's for my food. Sorry, I've said too much, I have to go before they come after me. Sorry."
With that she walked so fast she was almost running out the door.

The Doctor sighed. Melissa looked at where Kendra had ran off to. "We should really go..." the Doctor said, noting all the people who had been staring at Kendra.
Melissa nodded, "yeah...and we should find the girl."
The Doctor nodded in agreement. She acted like someone might be after her. Both the Time Lord and the human got off, leaving money for their food. They started walking in the direction that Kendra had gone.
Tyler was still on the ground.

Kendra literally stumbled on Tyler. At first she was about to attack whatever it was that had caught her foot, but then she saw that it was the man from before. "Oh my God," she said as she knelt down to him and started to check him vitals.

Tyler was having trouble breathing, but his heart was beating.
It was when Kendra stopped to look at Tyler that the Doctor and Melissa caught up to Kendra. The Doctor glanced at Tyler and then at Kendra, "We could either call for an ambulance....or...we could take him to the TARDIS. I have an infirmary there."

"Whatever's faster," Kendra said. She listened carefully to his breathing. "I'm not sure... But it sounds like asthma." She didn't care if she got caught now, someone's lie was in jeopardy.

The Doctor nodded, "Right....so....my TARDIS then. I'll be right back...just....wait here."
He ran in the direction of his TARDIS. Unlocking it quickly, he went inside. He quickly entered in a few coordinates to move it to where Kendra and Melissa and Tyler were. Moments later the TARDIS rematerialized next to where Tyler was.
The Doctor opened the door and went outside. He attempted to pick Tyler up.

Kendra stared at the TARDIS, but then helped the Doctor carry Tyler inside. She gaped at the inside of the TARDIS, but didn't fall back a step. She knew she couldn't let herself do that. This man needed help.

Melissa followed Kendra and the Doctor into the TARDIS.
Melissa had stared at the TARDIS as well. The police box had appeared out of nowhere, and the Doctor had come from inside. She assumed that this must be the TARDIS that he was referring to...whatever a TARDIS was. Once she was inside, she couldn't help but remark, "It's bigger on the inside!"
The Doctor grinned at the comment, but he didn't have a chance to respond because he wanted to get the man help.
He led the way to the TARDIS infirmary.

Kendra helped him, remembering that she was in trouble. But if this alien had a ship that could disappear, then she figured it was best to stick with him. Besides, this man needed help. She didn't know why she cared so much about his condition, but she did.

Once Melissa, the Doctor, Kendra, and Tyler were in the infirmary, the Doctor nodded towards a bed. "Put him there..."
He tried to help Kendra lift Tyler onto the bed. Once this was accomplished, he threw a stethoscope at Kendra. "You know much about human medicine? You said it seemed like asthma...well, if asthma is similar to in a human...then I would have to agree with you. My brother had asthma...."
He started looking for an inhaler amongst his medicines.

"I traveled with someone who had asthma. That's how I know," Kendra said as she took the stethoscope and listened to Tyler's breathing. "Definitely asthma." She looked at the Doctor. "Your species gets asthma too? Hmm.."

The Doctor nodded, "Yep....we have lungs just like humans do....."
Finding the inhaler he smiled, "There we go...." He tossed it Kendra's way.
"So, what happened to this friend you were traveling with?" the Doctor asked Kendra. Melissa glanced at Kendra, not really knowing how to contribute to the conversation.

Kendra caught it and put it to Tyler's lips, squeezing it as he breathed in to the medicine could get in. "No idea. I had to leave before the Brotherhood caught wind of me," she said, looking up. "And I suppose you've never heard or them, either. Or the X-men."
