The Doctor shook his head, "Nope....never heard of either the Brotherhood or the X-men."
As the medicine got to Tyler's lungs, his breathing began to get better. He remained unconscious, but he was definitely improving. If someone listened to his pulse they wouldn't think anything might be a little off, but instead of having a heart on the left side, his was on the right.
Melissa watched, asking Kendra, "Is he better?"

Kendra took the stethoscope again. She listened to his left side and blinked, then listened to his right. She sighed in relief when she found his heart. His pulse seemed normal. She listened to his breathing. "He's getting better," she told Melissa.

The Doctor stared at Kendra as she moved the stethoscope from one side of his chest to the other, "Why...why did you do that? Does he....does he have more than one heart? That's what happens when people listen to my heart...usually."
Melissa looked at Kendra curiously. "I'm glad he's getting better."
It was at about that point that Tyler woke up.

Kendra looked at the Doctor. "No, he has one heart. It's just on the other side." She looked at Tyler and grinned. "Hey, you alright now?"

The Doctor stared at Kendra and then Tyler. "What? Humans don't have a heart on their right side...it's always on the left. I never heard of such a thing...maybe he's not human."
Tyler was only semi-conscious, and he couldn't quite hear the Doctor. However, since Kendra was closer he nodded, "Yeah...better...still having trouble breathing...happens sometimes.....to me."
Melissa smiled in relief when she saw that the man would be all right. However, she looked at Tyler. Was it possible that he was an alien, just as the Doctor suggested. He looked human, but then, so did the Doctor.

Kendra looked at the Doctor. "I can control water, does that mean I can't be human?" She looked back at Tyler and smiled. "You're going to be alright now."

The Doctor sighed, "All right...and just when I thought that I understood humans......I just learn new things."
Tyler continued to struggled with his breathing, though it was better than before. He nodded, "I hate it when this weird thing happens with my breathing."
Melissa asked the Doctor, "So what is this place?"
The Doctor replied, "the TARDIS -- stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space -- she can travel anywhere in all of time and space...."

"She? What's with men and referring to their vehicles as female?" Kendra asked. She looked at Tyler. "Here, take another hit off of this," she said, putting it to his mouth.

Tyler stared at the inhaler. "What is it?"
Melissa shrugged, "Well, women do it too.....I guess people just like calling vehicle's by female pronouns."
The Doctor frowned, "Well, SHE is a female TARDIS."
Melissa shook her head. "You're talking like she's alive."
"She is alive!" the Doctor replied. "TARDIS' are grown, not made......"

"It's an inhaler, for your asthma. Just take a deep breath," Kendra said, still holding the inhaler close to his mouth. "It's what helped you while you were unconscious." She was ignoring the other two now.

Tyler, though confused, took a deep breath.
The Doctor and Melissa continued to talk about the TARDIS. Melissa asked him, "How big is this place?"
The Doctor shrugged, "I don't know...I really don't know....she always seems to be adding rooms..."
"What kind of rooms does your TARDIS have?" Melissa asked.
The Doctor started rattling off rooms. Both Melissa and the Doctor were unaware that Kendra was ignoring them.

Kendra squeezed the inhaler as he breathed in, spreading the medicine into the air he was breathing. She was now just vaguely paying attention to the Doctor and Melissa. Something about adding rooms. This place did seem big. She wondered if she could stick around, or for how long.
"You have a pool?" she asked the Doctor.

The Doctor nodded, "Yep."
Tyler stared at Kendra after she was done giving him the medicine, now breathing much better. "Why do you think I have asthma?"
Melissa smiled at the idea of a pool in the TARDIS. She asked Kendra, "What can you do with your water ability?"

Kendra looked at Tyler. "I knew someone who had asthma. I listened to your breathing and it sounded like what her breathing used to sound like when she had an asthma attack."
She looked at Melissa. "I can do lots of things."

Tyler shrugged, "Oh....well, I don't know...maybe it just sounds like it.....I don't know...."
The Doctor, interested in the conversation asked Tyler, "But it's happened before, right?"
Tyler nodded, "Yeah...I've had trouble breathing a lot, but it gets better after a while....."
The Doctor nodded, "Maybe we should take you somewhere to get you tested."
Melissa asked Kendra, "Like what?"
