Kendra watched Melissa leave with the nurse. She couldn't help thinking, "And then there were three..."
The nurse led Melissa to a room, starting to ask routine questions. Medical history and all that. Basic human info.

Melissa answered the questions that were put to her. She then asked the nurse, "How many humans do you usually get? You seem to know a lot about humans."
Melissa studied the room nervously, as she never really liked to go to the doctor's office. "You guys can treat us humans, right?"

"Humans aren't common, but we get enough that we have to know how to treat them," the nurse said as she had her sit on the bed. "If we find something, then we will treat you, but from my understanding, this is just a check-up." She kept record of the responses.

Kendra looked over at the two. "So... What do you guys think?"

Tyler shrugged, "I don't know.....I......what will they do if they find out my heart's on the wrong side?" He'd always been extra nervous of doctor's, afraid of their reaction. In fact, he couldn't remember ever having been to a doctor in his life, which scared him even more.
The Doctor looked back at Kendra, "Oh, it's no big deal, really...just a check up...."
Melissa nodded, feeling a little more relieved. "Oh....well that's good....."

"Yeah, well, it's been years since I had a check-up," Kendra said. "And quite frankly, I'm nervous. Especially about them finding out I'm a mutant."

The nurse looked over the chart. "Well, the doctor will be in to see you shortly."

Melissa nodded at the nurse. "That's fine.
Tyler looked at Kendra and said softly, "I....I'm not sure I've ever been to a doctor in my life."
The Doctor looked at Tyler, "Of course you have been to one. If there's one thing I know about humans, it's that they always want to make sure that humans are healthy...especially in school. Several of my companions told me about needing medical records...."

The nurse left the room.

Kendra looked at Tyler. "Oh, you a wanderer, too?" She figured that had to be it. Why else would he never go to a doctor?

Tyler shook his head. "Not really....I was born and raised in London...but I went to college in America....so yeah....."
The Doctor grinned at them, "Well, now you both are.....well, until you decide you don't want to travel with me anymore."
Melissa sat nervously, looking at the tan shade of the room. The people on the planet had chosen to be different from Earth -- instead of having white walls, they had different colors for different rooms. The room that Melissa happened to be in was painted a dark tan.

Kendra looked at the Doctor. "What? Travel with you?" She looked to Tyler. "That explains the accent. But why would you not go to a hospital if you could afford college?"

Tyler looked back at Kendra, "Oh....I don't know......I just never thought it important to go to a hosptial. Why would I? I'm odd....my heart's on the wrong side...someone might want to fix that...and ....I don'tknow....too much could go wrong with that.:"
The Doctor just watched the others talk. He hadn't really thought about Tyler's accent until Kendra brought it up. The humans that he'd been around were mostly British, so the accent hadn't really impacted him. He was thinking of the hospitals on Gallifrey and incidents that he'd had while there.
Melissa continued to wait for a doctor to show up that would see her. (don't copy nombre's part from that....just copy her part when she looked Tyler over.)
