Alec sighed. "What?"
He reached over and undid Jenny's actions, shutting off the screen. "Well, we find the source of the Cloister and undo it, and put a hole in the head of who did it." he said, as if talking to a child who had made an obvious mistake.

Jenny had the almost instant wish to drop kick this Alec person. But she reined in her temper with the thought of her dad telling her not to hurt anyone.
“Well maybe when some self-important people decided to stop being self-important we can instead put our time to better use by finding out what is causing it, who, and stopping it,” Jenny said as she went back to the monitor.
This time instead of bringing up the area around the TARDIS she searched for possible fluxes in the Rift and searched for any possible anomalies that could cause such an occurrence. “Or we can just sit around roasting marshmallows, have a powwow, and talk about how mysterious and awe inspiring our names are. And of course talk about what needs to be done instead of actually doing something about it.”
“Does anyone know who has the capability of causing something like this to happen?” She asked; her first thoughts were of the Daleks. They seemed to always be in the middle of a plot to move the Earth around. They even managed it not long ago. But then the rift could also hold possibilities. Jenny went through her father’s memories and one by one thought up every destructive creature, villain, and natural and not so natural occurrence that could cause anything even close to this.
Almost unconsciously as she worked her way through over 900 years of memories and the TARDIS’s readouts she muttered, “come-on Sexy, what is it.” Jenny didn’t really know these people but she was suspecting that she could get a better reaction time from the members of Torchwood then these Time Lords.

The Doctor was stumbling around still, feeling wobbly. "OK. Cloister bell. Check. Everything going all...timey-wimey. Check. Sexy-I mean TARDIS, check. Band of time-misplaced humans and time lords?Check. Fez?"
The Eleventh Doctor walked over to a small cabinet in the corner of the TARDIS, and pulled out a red fez. "Check." He walked over to the TARDIS console, and began fiddling with the levers. "If I can just re-route the power, I can track where all this...timey-wimey stuff is coming from."
The TARDIS made a groaning sound, and a couple of sparks flew. The Doctor was blown backwards, and everybody else was knocked off their feet. "OK. That's never happened before. As I said, first time for everything." The Doctor raced back to the console. "That's...strange. All the power's gone. We barely have enough energy to keep the TARDIS working. What's..."
The Doctor rushed under the TARDIS, and began clipping and sonicking wires. "And sonick that doohickey, and...done!!"
He raced back up to the TARDIS console. "If I'm correct, the TARDIS will have every inch of it's power restored. If I'm not, we all go boom!" He glanced around at everyone. First Jenny, then Alec, then The Dark Lord, then the Meddler, then Adagio. "Geronimo!!"
The Doctor threw the switch. A blinding blue light filled the TARDIS, and there was a deep rumbling sound, as if the universe itself were trembling.

(OOC: Alec is the Dark Lord, so looking at Alec, then the Dark Lord, would be a very interesting thong to see. ) Alec smirked at Jenny. "You would be especially good at those things, wouldn't you? Because you can't seem to get anything else done." He gazed off, as if thinking. "Oh, except for turning on the monitor, I must commend you on your skills there."

Jenny gave Alec a dead pan stare and said in a calm and undaunted tone,
“I’m not the one having a pretentious fit about my unpronounceable, secret-handshake, Time Lord, name, and even more pretentious super-imposing title while the Earth is having a crisis. Unlike you, I am at least trying to do something constructive instead of standing there acting like a pompous git. Now unless you really want to find out about my skills the hard way I would suggest you shut it, Time Boy.”
Jenny had, had enough of his idiotic remarks and snide comments and was quite willing to put him through the TARDIS wall. And if it wasn’t possible, she decided that she would at least have some satisfaction trying.

Alec laughed, hard. "You wouldn't be half bad...except that you are trying way too hard to make a good comeback about my explaining my name. Not really, working for you, sweety." he smirked.
He emphasized sweety as though he were talking to a small dog, or infant. He wasn't going to give her next comment the time of day. "Okay, anyways, whoever is causing our little problem is doing one of two things: undoing a fixed point in time, or they are messing with a rift. Now, once we find that out, it will be the job of the willing present company to repair what this person, or thing, for that matter, has jacked up. That's my plan, atleast. Any other suggestions?" Alec said quickly.

“Does anyone know who has the capability of causing something like this to happen?” asked Jenny.
"The Daleks could have," the Meddler offered, "But they're all dead. Dead, or trapped in the Moment...." His voice trailed away as he looked at the small collection of Time Lords in the control room. "Right? Please tell me I'm right. Please tell me I didn't botch the job so badly that some of them escaped as well."
He shook his head in dismay at the looks the others gave him. "Great," he muttered. "Just great. But back to your question, Jenny. The Guardians. The Monan Host. The Great Race, maybe, but their method of time travel would make it difficult." He snorted. "Really, any species with even a basic grasp of the fundamentals of time travel could theoretically cause this. Most of them would obliterate themselves in the process, though."
The Doctor flipped some switches in an attempt to boost his TARDIS' power, and the Meddler was suddenly blinking away afterimages from the blinding blue flash. "Did it work?"
Of course, even that hadn't stopped Jenny and Alec. "Look guys," he said to both of them, "Cool it or get a room. I don't care which."
Before anyone could respond, the TARDIS heaved like a boat in a storm, bouncing and rocking and tumbling. The view through the main monitor, or what view could be seen as the passengers tumbled and crashed in the interior of the ship, seemed to dissolve into the polychromatic chaos of the vortex.
And then, as quickly as it had happened, the tempest subsided. The view through the monitor stabilized, showing nothing. Just empty blackness, lit by stars.
Down in the crawlspace beneath the rotor, where he had been hurled, the Meddler felt himself over for blood or broken bones. He ached, just about everywhere, but nothing serious seemed to have happened. "Are you all right, Adiago?" he asked.
Then he saw the viewscreen, and fell silent.

Alec lurched backwards and fell off the console deck. On impact he was thrown to the ground, tumbling and sliding. Hitting a sharp wall, a long gash opened up his right arm, leaving it bloodied and skinned. Before he had time to recover, he was thrown forward again against a pole in the Tardis, hearing a crack as he hit the same arm against it.
He used the pole to pull himself off the ground with his good arm. His hat of course had fallen off, and the right side of his coat was in tatters.
He hoped this wouldn't happen again.

"No..." The Doctor gazed at the viewscreen. His fez clung loosely to the top of his head. Earth was gone. The Sol System had vanished."No. No. No. NO! The Earth! NO!!"
A mad look filled his eyes. At the same time, deepest sadness pooled up. "No..."
The Doctor looked up. "Ok. We're using the TARDIS's reserve power to search for whoever did this then...then we stop them."
After a minute or two, the Doctor walked over to the TARDIS console. As he began to press buttons and pull levers, a gloomy mood filled the air.

Just when Adagio had thought it was safe to let to of the Meddlers hand she was thrown upwards. Luckily though, she had been able to hit the ceiling softly before being pushed down the side like she was in some sort of ball. However, when gravity came back into play she landed on her back on the console floor.
Laying on the floor spread eagle, Adagio fixed her dress and yelled back down to the Meddler. "I'm fine, how about you? Anyone hurt?"
When she noticed a sudden silence falling over everyone she became worried. Then, The Doctor was saying no repeatedly. However, when he said 'The Earth' Adagio had a feeling she knew what was going on.
Pushing herself off the floor, Adagio took off her short heels and hung them carefully off the console. Then, she looked into the screen that formally showed Earth in it. Her little blue planet was gone.
No house, no job, no mom. If they couldn't get the Earth back to the way it was, then she would be the last human. For a moment Adagio felt herself fall before sitting on the floor once more looking up at the screen. Crying did not come easy to her, but the fact that everything she loved was gone, most likely forever, made her weep.

Alec could care less about Earth, except that he had left his Tardis down there. He groaned, knowing he was stuck with these idiots. Thinking on it, Adagio and the Meddler weren't all that bad, but Jenny was a git and the Doctor was way too pacifistic. As far as that went, cons definitely outweighed the pros. "Is there any way to travel separately so we can...cover more ground?"

The Doctor looked up. "Ok. We're using the TARDIS's reserve power to search for whoever did this then...then we stop them."
"Is there any way to travel separately so we can...cover more ground?" responded Alec.
The Meddler limped up the steps to the console level - he might not have broken anything, but he still ached all over.
"There should be," he said. "TARDISes are temporally transcendent. A little thing like a time quake destroying the Earth wouldn't affect one. Not seriously, anyway." He peered at the Doctor's control panel. "Let me see..."
He flipped a switch experimentally, hurriedly flipped it back, and moved on. "Ah," he finally said, "Here's the scanner! Now..." He made some adjustments, and two shapes were highlighted on a map of local spacetime. "There. There's my TARDIS, and I assume the other is yours? If we can get a gravity tractor on them, or maneuver near mine, I can recharge both of yours. And then we can figure out what annulled the Earth."
And that's when it struck him that he'd more or less ignored Adiago during this whole mess. Carefully, he sat down next to her. "Hey," he said, nudging her with his elbow. "We'll fix this. We're Time Lords. Fixing temporal catastrophes is the thing we're third best at."

Alec nodded. "Of course. Now, for groups, I'd rather go alone, but I'll take someone. I can't say I'm good with people though." he said. He gave Jenny a please no insults this time glare.

Adagio could hear talking above her and simply ignored it. Her home was gone and so were her friends and family. She wondered if they had suffered. Then, she wondered if John had made it off the Earth. HE had a vortex manipulator after all.
When she was suddenly nudged in the side she hiccuped and began to wipe her face roughly. "D-Do you really think so? I mean, can you get the Earth back to the way it was?" Adagio hoped that he would tell her yes. That her family would be just fine and that things would go back to normal.
Looking the Meddler over and rubbing a few tears away Adagio noticed he looked a lot more banged up than she was. "How are you feeling by the way? Are you okay?" Hearing Alec talking about taking someone with him, Adagio looked at him. "Why don't Jenny and the Doctor stick together, I'll stay with the Meddler, and you can go by yourself. It's better for us to be able to work at our best capacity and not start bickering." All Adagio wanted was for things to go back to normal, and if Jenny and Alec started fighting again she might show them what real hurt felt like.

"D-Do you really think so? I mean, can you get the Earth back to the way it was?"
The Meddler opened his mouth, closed it again, and considered his words. "I think so, yes."
He eyed the other Time Lords, and considered his words. "I've done this before - changing time lines, I mean. It's not easy, but we can do it."
No point in mentioning the odds-on possibility of gross causality distortions, he decided. She doesn't need to know about that. Not yet.
Looking the Meddler over and rubbing a few tears away Adagio noticed he looked a lot more banged up than she was. "How are you feeling by the way? Are you okay?"
He laughed. "Yes. We heal quickly, if we don't die outright."
Hearing Alec talking about taking someone with him, Adagio looked at him. "Why don't Jenny and the Doctor stick together, I'll stay with the Meddler, and you can go by yourself. It's better for us to be able to work at our best capacity and not start bickering."
"Sounds like a good plan to me." He looked at Jenny and the Doctor. "Does this museum piece have a gravatic tractor?"
