A full day of classes today and every day. That was what it was like for Rhea. It wasn't something she minded in the least bit, however. She really loved the Academy and learning. Since she was had gotten older, she had realized how much she wanted to be a Time Lady - to help watch over all of time and space. She liked how everything worked, how it all fit together, how perfect it all seemed. Rules were there to help insure everything stayed as such, and Rhea would hardly dream of breaking them.
Which was why she and Thete didn't get along sometimes now as much as they used to. Rhea hoped that her old friend was merely going through a sort of 'stage' but she knew that he might have just changed. Still, there was something about him... And that was as far as she allowed her thoughts to get about that.
Arms full of books, Rhea walked around the campus. She had a good half hour until her next class, for she had just left her previous one and had a short break. Outside, other Academy students milled about. Rhea looked around for someone familiar. Koschei was in the distance, she saw. He was different, too, when she thought about it. Other people she didn't know quite as well but still recognized were about too. She walked around, hoping to find someone to talk to.

Yadsh stood up, "You know, this doesn't really work any more, but hey, here we go again," he said, smiling, "family, I wouldn't call them family, more, 'people that are related to me, but don't really know who I am', but hey, I love 'em all the same..."

Loathe as he was to let someone else get in the last word, Thete decided to take advantage of Flynn's distraction to head off for class. He tried to ignore the sting of Eiougougol's taunts. He was going to have to focus...
"At least I have a mum.....you don't...I bet she killed herself after seeing you born. She knew you'd never amount to much."
He pulled up his schedule, and headed for Comparative Anachronology.
"Or maybe it was his mother....oh wait...she's dead....too bad."

Waleffijegrutadekuj let out a sigh. It was the start of yet another school year, not something that he was particularly looking forward to. He had gained quite a bit of weight over the years, and was therefore not as popular with the crowd that he had been with when he'd started out there.
Now he was more of a loner.
However, he felt like being in a sociable mood. Seeing one of the females ahead he smiled at her and waved. "Hello, Rhea...how are you?"
__________________ Emmehujidat glared at the disrespectful child known as Yadsh.
"I told you to get up from your desk, boy. Do it now, or I will pick you up and make you!"
__________________ Eiougougol smirked as he watched Theta walk away. He'd won once again. Satisfied with the events, he strolled back to his own classroom, taking his seat and commenting loudly to any other student who happened to be present in the classroom.
"Hey, did you hear what happened to that Tyler?"

The Mentalist stared at Koschei, as he offered the cigarettes. He couldn't quite understand what was going on. Why was he being so nice? Was this a trick? He started to scowl, once Koschei stopped speaking.
"Fine... Yeah. If you can't get to me then, give them to Tyler. He'll be there."
He turned away and sighed, angrily. Shrugging, the red-head frowned and huffed.
"I'll be on my way then. See you."
The Mentalist walked off, his hands fidgeting as he went through the double doors at the end of the corridor.

Tyler waited for his best friend to speak. If he wouldn't he would just head off to class.
"I have class....I'll be late if I don't hurry....." he glanced nervously at his arm. He adjusted his sweatshirt so that his arm wasn't showing. He didn't want anyone asking him any questions. He could hide it well enough in his Gallifreyan robe.
"I just have to make it to third period without anyone asking anything," he thought to himself.

"Fine... Yeah. If you can't get to me then, give them to Tyler. He'll be there."
"Oh, you know Tyler as well?"
He turned away and sighed, angrily. Shrugging, the red-head frowned and huffed.
"I'll be on my way then. See you."
The Mentalist walked off, his hands fidgeting as he went through the double doors at the end of the corridor.
"Certainly," Koschei waived, "right after third period."
Koschei walked into his first period class, just in time to hear Eiougougol ask, "Hey, did you hear what happened to that Tyler?" That caught his attention. He'd always been closer to Thete than Tyler - more interests in common, he supposed - but he certainly liked Tyler well enough.
That friendship was the despair of his father, true. But maybe that's why he maintained it.
"No, no I haven't. What happened to him?"

Eiougougol always glad to have an audience, although he had no particular liking for Koschei, answered, "It looks like he got beaten up....or maybe his dad beat him up."
He glanced at Koschei and smirked. He knew very well that Tyler's father wouldn't have beaten up one of his children, but it offered him satisfaction to put a negative light on somebody that he was taught to scorn.
"You know his father is....always abusing his children....how many injuries has Tyler had, anyway. You're his brother's best friend...why, I'll never know...but you are always talking to Theta and infecting yourself."

The Guitarist had been deep in thought, his friends scream had sent him straight into his thoughts. From the strength of the scream, the bruised muscle area he'd felt and the bone he'd felt, he could safely say that the break was past the point of a hairline fracture and was verging on a full break. He concentrated and tried to figure out what angle the break was at, his parents had taught him wall.
Immediately letting go and opening his eyes, he frowned. He gave Tyler his arm back and put an arm round his shoulder, in a hug. His friend was really suffering, he could tell from the way Tyler spoke. As he did, he said something about class. The Guitarist let go and shook his head. "Class?! We're not going there Tyler, come on, I'm taking to you to nurses office. That really needs to be taken care of now..." Putting his arm round his friend, he tried to lead Tyler to the nurses office. He didn't want to be forceful, but Tyler needed to see a nurse about his arm and if he wouldn't go, then The Guitarist would have to pick him up and carry him. This was just far too important to not get seen it.

Tyler replied definiantly, "I'm going to wait until third period before going.....don't want to miss it.....they'll probably have to take me to the hospital or something. I don't know...."
"Well, you can come with me when I do go to the nurse...but wait until like fourth period or something.....I'm NOT going until after third period."
Tyler really hadn't had any girlfriends either. This wasn't to say that he was never interested in them. He was! It just was that he hadn't been very successful with them. Besides, he preferred Kyra to anyone he'd met. But she would never agree to date him...he was sure of it.
His arm was starting to swell a little.
"We better get to class or we'll all be late!"
Tyler thought to himself, "It would be better to go to the nurse's office after third period...that way if I get hurt worse, it can all be treated at once.
"Trust me...let's wait until after third period...I...I have to be somewhere....really important class. I refuse to miss the first day. I....I will get it looked at...I promise...but not yet."
He did his best to resist his best friend's guidance. He couldn't tell the Guitarist why he wanted to wait until after third period -- he knew that his best friend would never allow him to face the Mentalist again that day. Worse, he'd probably round up Theta and Koschei and whomever else he could find to try to fight the Mentalist. They'd all end up getting hurt.
It was then that his concern wandered to Kyra. Kyra -- he didn't want anyone touching her. She was his other best friend.
A determined look on his face, Tyler simply shook his head. "I promise I will get it looked at, but not right now, all right?"

"It looks like he got beaten up....or maybe his dad beat him up."
"Ah," said Koschei, dryly. "How... clever of you."
He knew, or at least he suspected, what had really happened. Thete had used Eiougougol and his father as prime examples of what was wrong with Gallifrey, what needed to change, and why.
"Titled thugs," Thete would rant, "believing they're better than everyone else by accident of birth. Unwilling to do anything, use any of their knowledge, for anything but their own sanctimonious sense of self-importance. Bloated ticks on the underbelly of the Spiral Politic."
Absently, he began to tap his fingers on his desk. Tap-tap-tap-tap. Tap-tap-tap-tap. His own private rhythm.
And in the back of his mind, the drums. The never-ending drums, and the fire. And he could see, see so easily, what he would need to do...
He snapped his focus back to the present.
Eiougougol smirked. "You know his father is....always abusing his children....how many injuries has Tyler had, anyway. You're his brother's best friend...why, I'll never know...but you are always talking to Theta and infecting yourself."
Koschei lifted an eyebrow. "Well, as my father always says, it's not what gets on you that infects you. It's what comes out of you."
Tap-tap-tap-tap.
Tap-tap-tap-tap.
Tap-tap-tap-tap.

The sounds of a schoolroom, the bustle of the academy. 'Libby' hated all of those sounds. Libertaniasiel - how she hated her sharding name. It was all her mothers fault, giving her such a huge name. That's why she was either 'Libby', or "Archivist". She utterly hated how the kids classified her just because she preferred books to the company of the lesser intellectuals. She knew things about their people - that most of the students could only dream of getting to know. Since she had been designated for her pathway - she had buried herself in the Library, and absorbed so much knowledge.
Advanced classes was her home - a place where she could expand the dimensions of her mind. Think about the possibilities of increasing the capacity of Time and Space travel. Make it smoother, faster, less dangers for it's occupants. She wanted to help her people, and the best way she could do that was learning from the past. Applying the applications and functions of the current times, and possible future times - to the understandings of her Ancestors. These applications would further the ability for the travel in space. And hopefully would eventually lead to an understanding of what made her people tic.
She was an honestly quiet and unassuming girl, in her first regeneration - as is expected of a seventeen year old of her race. She had a slim figure, often hidden in her robes, or looser clothing. Ink stains always covered her sleeves, and there was almost always a perpetual smudge of ink on her cheek. Her hair was a dark auburn color - and pulled back into a loose ponytail, the trail of hair was always falling over her right shoulder. She didn't look up often - so most people didn't even see her face. She was an assumed 'ugly', and she was happy to keep it that way.
Despite the fact that she was 17, unlike a lot of the girls her age - she hadn't had a boyfriend yet. She was actually rather glad for that. Mostly because of the fact that a boyfriend would slow her down in her studies. She had too much to do - too much to focus on. She was always lost in her books.
Which was easy to say what she was lost in at the moment, as she wandered down the hall. A hum leaving her as she turned the pages in the tome she was absorbing. A novella describing many of the possibilities of modifications to time travel. She didn't even notice where she was walking, because her next class didn't start for an hour. She wasn't as good as Koschei, but she was still one of the most intelligent females of the school - possibly on level with Koschei, but maybe not in the long run. She was book smart and analytical. She also was rather pacifistic to a rather dangerous extreme. Easily bullied - she didn't stand up for herself.
So she found herself wandering the hall, book in hand - without a care to where she was walking, or who she encountered.
(((Anyone is welcome to interact with her, if they please. I am quite happy to have her bump into one of the guys, and get in a bit of a tizzy over whatever happens.))

Eiougougol heard Koschei's comment and rolled his eyes. "Yeah...yeah...heard that before." He frowned. The comments weren't getting the rise out of his intended victim that he had hoped.
"Well....you just better be careful that Theta's dad doesn't start beating you the next time you go over to his house."
Eiougougol, deciding that his comments weren't going far enough, blurted out to the teacher, "One of our classmates has a father who abused him." ______________________ Apoguportila, a girl of 17 who was considered by many to be one of the more popular girls in school, strutted along in the hallway. She knew that she was running slightly late, but she didn't mind at all.
Her curly blond hair bounced along as she mad her way through the halls. Her blue eyes landed on one of the geeky types - someone with whom it gave Apoguportila great pleasure to make fun of.
When she got within hearing range of Libby, she called out to the girl. "Hey there, Bookworm. Don't you do anything else besides read? No wonder you've never had a boyfriend...no guy would want someone like you. You practically walk around with a book everywhere you go. It's like you are stupid or something -- you can't even read at the normal pace of a Gallifreyan."
"Hmm....have you seen my boyfriend around here?" Apoguportila asked her. "It's a shame you don't have one of your own..."
At that last sentence she burst out laughing.
Apoguportila had recently began dating Eiougougol for about the fifth time.

Libby heard a piercing sound enter her mind, as she looked up. Her eyebrow arching as she stared through her bangs up at the 'popular' girl of the class. She wasn't much of one of reacting to gibes, so she just looked to the side a little and shrugged. "At least I can read." She muttered as she turned away from the blond. Pushing her hair back just enough to look a little over her shoulder towards the blond haired and blue eyed girl. "And I prefer not to have a boyfriend, because they impede intellectual advancement." She stated smoothly.
That was about the closest she could get to proper interactions with someone. She didn't like the popular kids and took this opportunity to start walking down the hall. Hoping she'd run into someone that could distract the blond for long enough. "I haven't seen your boyfriend, it's not my place to keep track of him." She stated as she started to walk. Get away from her, seriously just get away. That's what she needed to do.

"I'll do that," Koschei replied, dryly.
Eiougougol, deciding that his comments weren't going far enough, blurted out to the teacher, "One of our classmates has a father who abused him."
"That's true," Koschei chimed in with sudden, unexpected support. "Unfortunatly," he added, glancing at Eiougougol, "his father is a highly placed member of the High Council. So I don't know if anyone would be willing to do anything to support him."
