K-9’s ear-like radio dishes scanned everything from the lithobius microps trying to gain access to his metal shell, to the advancing creatures, to the heart beats of each and every living being aboard the space craft that Captain Jack and Sarah Jane were now present. He wanted to be a good dog and to stay put like Jack had said. However had he not already disobeyed the orders of Sarah Jane by leaving the direct area that Sarah Jane had specified. He knew he had and his decision was made.
Breaking the silence the little day’s mechanical voice spoke into his transceiver and sent a message to Jack. “Creatures are advancing quickly. I estimate there arrival within 6 minutes. Should I intercept and detain, Sir?” __________________________________________________ OOC: Worst post ever, I know. XP

Sundosia only watched as Sarah Jane was in the cage with the other human. She was rather quiet, and while she inwardly gloated about her triumph, inside, she could not help but to think that it was all too easy. Were these 'human' creatures, really that dull? Did they not have some distress call for help through technology or some other means? It bewildered her, and she could not help but to shake the feeling of something else lurking in the shadows. It was like someone was about to tap upon her shoulder, like a whisper through a dark corridor. Now she felt at odds with herself, should she abandon the cage and risk them finding a way to escape in order to make sure no one was coming up from behind? Another thought came to her mind, why not try to tease it out of them? "I am sure such creatures have such fascinating machinery...perhaps you could tell me some of the most...significant ones? Communications...medical...transportation..." She began, but was not entirely sure if Sarah Jane still had her device functioning or not, which would be the line between them being able to understand them or not.
The alien knew she had to be very careful and subtle about how she was going to go about this. It could become a matter of them having called reinforcements to capture or kill her, and her being able to escape alive. If she was going to have to dump her cargo, she would have to grab as many items off of them as she could for further investigation, though, from what she saw so far, it was much basic to her race, but that was alright. She liked antiques and ancient technology, perhaps once she was done with learning about it, she could sell them back at home and make a profit, or sell them elsewhere. While Sundosia was never much in the way of stealing things just to do business, she would do it if the opportunity presented itself, like it may do now.
Planet: Earth Form: Valia Notes: The part where it says "a whisper in the dark corridor" might be a little confusing, and I realize that, I just wanted to get across that she doesn't know Jack is there, it was just a metaphor.

Ooc; Okay, my last post was wrong, as Sarah Jane pointed out. Let's just assume that Jack never saw Owen and Sarah Jane and he never waved. I don't know.
Jack pressed tight against the metal door frame, listening to the alien. It's voice was thick and accented, unlike any other he had heard before. For so long, he had thought he had traveled everywhere, but obviously not. Of all the species, this one had to be the one he encountered - unknown and dangerous.
He was deciding on a path of attack when a small beep sounded in his ear, signaling an incoming message. He pressed a hand to his ear and listened intently to K-9.
"I think it'd be best if you stay where you are," he whispered into the mouthpiece, cringing as his voice reverberated as through the hallway. Luckily, it sounded similar to rain or heavy splashing, which was not uncommon in the forests of Britain. "The terrain is too difficult for you and if these are Weevils, as I deduced earlier, then they are likely to be curious more than anything. Blood-lust will be at the bottom of their list when they see the ship."
He inched forwards again, searching for Sarah Jane and Owen this time. He couldn't see them.
I can't do anything until I know where they are, Jack realized, lowering his gun slightly. I can't barge in there - the beast might have them attached to machines or torture devices. He groaned inwardly, hitting his head lightly against the wall.

Doing his best, Owen had looked up at Sarah. He saw she was bleeding from the attack from the crazy insect. It was in Owen’s heart he had to tend her wound. To help Sarah, Owen looked down to his side. “I have a medical kit,” he said. The free hand he pulled out the small silver container. “You got one nasty cut there. Take the kit. You better not let her see it,” the dead man’s eye looked up at the alien and back to Sarah. “She could think it’s a weapon.”
Owen sworn he saw something move in the shadows behind the alien. It could be nothing. The situation was dreary, but again it could be his imagination playing in his mind. That was one thing that seemed to work.
“Now go save your beautiful face,” he said, he squeezed her hand and gave her a little push to start to get out. It was a cold hand squeeze because he was a moving corpse. To feel the warmth hand of another was something Owen would like experience again.
The amazing about being living-dead you was that you look at the world around you in different perspective. It was a privilege to have sensitive active body that responds to senses. The yelling, the pain, swearing when one burns their hand or slamming a hammer on your thumb, Owen missed that. Pain or warm touch anything. He remembered the time when he was in the police cell with Jack. How he was feeling the wall and he could not feel it. The air he could not breathe the city air.
Owen smirk a little as he remembered how gross Jack was when Owen had to be on his head to throw up. That was a dangerous too. He was careful when he did because he could accident snap his spine. How long can he stay in good condition? How long could he live like this? This could be the day he could end it. He had nothing except Torchwood, he was like Jack’s doctor, but Jack could find someone; not someone better. Lord no, Owen was the best and Owen would be the first one to admit that. But the dead man would not last long as dead. Waiting to die, he was willing to throw his life here for Sarah. Than off to the darkness...simple darkness…nothing….

Down, she had expected to go, as the world went dark for a moment. Her soldier boy caught her with an arm, and didn't seem to mind her weight as she clung to him, the world still spinning. Her blood felt warm where it dripped down her cheek in front of her ear. The dead man was so cold in comparison.
“You got one nasty cut there. Take the kit. You better not let her see it,” He whispered at her. “She could think it’s a weapon.”
Harry. He sounded just like Harry. Not his voice, really, but what he said, and how he said it. And how he held her. For one strange moment as she tried to think around that gently tapped ice pick feeling on her skull, she thought it was Harry, holding her, and dead as a doornail. In that confused moment, she grieved. Then she got her eyes open and looked up at her erstwhile support to see it was very much not Harry. Right! The Torchwood man. Everything that had happened flooded back in a single second like a nightmare upon waking.
"Now go and save that beautiful face." the Torchwood man said with an earnest honesty that touched her heart. She'd never seen eyes so sad and sweet.
Then he was gently pushing her away onto her unsteady feet. Well, her feet felt steady enough, it was the room that lurched a bit. She realized the man had put something cool and smooth in her hands, but this moment she wasn't sure if she'd just let it fall to the floor, or if she'd managed to stuff it in a pocket.
Bumping up against the door, she got a good eyeful of the outlandishly large mantis like creature whose words now boomed out the translator. Apparently the translator did convey tone as well. The bug's words were most strident. It was looming right outside the cage.
"I am sure such creatures have such fascinating machinery...perhaps you could tell me some of the most...significant ones? Communications...medical...transportation..."
"Humans have excellent hearing. Mostly, we just scream." She said to it quite plainly, then took a deep breath and cut loose with one. Now, Sarah Jane was a great thinker, and a fine runner, but she had a gift for screaming. She cut loose with a single scream designed to take the paint off the walls, if this strange ship had paint on the walls. Mostly, she did it as a distraction while she whipped out her Sonic Lipstick and once again unlocked that cage. It being her third manipulation of this lock, she got it in a heartbeat.
Would K-9 hear her from where he was, half an acre away? Would he be able to find a way through the woods? It seemed unlikely.
The cage bars made an excellent reference for where exactly up and down were, and she clutched them.

“Affirmative, message received.” K-9 stated. K-9 did not like the fact that he was stuck sitting his mechanical canine rear in the middle of no action, where he could do nothing for his Mistress Sarah Jane.
The thought had occurred to hmi many thousands of times within the space of only a few seconds, that he could ignore Captain Jack’s orders and teleport into the situation so that he could protect his Mistress.
K-9 was 159.97 percent certain the his master, the Doctor would be more then a little upset if anything happened to his once companion and friend Sarah Jane Smith. His antennas whirled in agitation and impatience. His bank of lights flashed and the monsters kept their advance upon the ship that Sarah Jane occupied.
He wished that Mr. Smith, the obsolete super computer that K-9 really didn’t like, would have given him more information about this excursion in the woods. But instead he was stuck with nothing but his sensors and an inclination to break ranks and to find his Mistress.
Then the last straw was drawn and Sarah Jane’s scream cut through his sensors. There was no hesitation on K-9’s part. One second he was in the middle of dirt, fallen trees, and grass, and the next he teleported into the alien space craft with a flash of blue-white light, not unlike how he teleported from the black hole and back to keep it in check for Sarah Jane and the Earth. His laser quickly extended and it was fully functional to do some damage.
He teleported into the very room that Sarah Jane occupied, detecting immediately, Sarah Jane, Captain Jack, a dead body, and an alien presence.

Now this was not what Sundosia was expecting! She took a step back as the shrill sound of the human's scream ripped through the air. Though, it did not hurt her ears since Sundosia did not really have that sharp of hearing, but it still took her by surprise. What surprised her more was when the robotic animal came into the room. She clacked her mandibles together in agitation as she spread her wings to make herself look bigger, releasing a guttural growl and using her blades to go on the defensive. She took a few steps back, realizing now that she was in too deep. Though she wanted to attack this robotic creature, she knew better than to do it. She had no idea what the robot was, and had no idea what it was capable of doing. Though she was on the defensive and in a battle position, she kept her tone calm as she spoke again, but still threatening, "So you humans do have aid. I figured it would be in the form of other humans, but I suppose your pets work too." She said, surmising that the creature, with it's animal look, featured some of the animals she had seen the humans roaming with earlier.
Though her mind was still churning. Perhaps these simple looking creatures were more than what she had first seen. Well, that much was becoming obvious, but in her corrupted mind, these creatures were the monsters. All she wanted to do was to look at them, find out what they were, how they worked, their technology, and such and then be on her way! Of course, she would have stolen some of it for herself first, but then would have gone on her way. Her mind was trying to devise a way to get out of this. First she should find the loyalties of the creature and then get rid of the master, the rest would take care of itself, right? What if it was loyal to both of them? Well, she wanted to keep at least one of these humans for further investigation. Oh, what a dilemma! Her mind skittered this way and that in a means of searching to get herself out of it. She moved to the cell door, blades drawn, ready to pierce at the metal of the robot, and through the flesh of the humans. The metal looked thin, like her blades could probably cut through it. Sundosia was not entirely sure, but was willing to try.

Jack exhaled noisily, not worrying about the alien hearing him over the shrill of Sarah Jane's lungs. Was something horrible happening? He peeked around the door frame again, confronted by a view of Sarah Jane grasping the bars of the door, a small metal dog behind her.
"K-9?" Jack whispered, confused.
There was no point standing around now. Jack knew that Sarah Jane was here, K-9 was a form of back-up, and Jack had a gun. Now, it all depended on the alien's defense and Owen.
Jack inched inside the room, out of the view of the alien, but making himself visible to the others. When Sarah Jane gave the signal - any signal, really - then he would be ready to shoot or kick or scratch fiercely.

((OOC-Modified post 6/10/11 because I messed up and didn't see Jack's post. Additions are marked with an underline below.))
Even as her scream finished echoing around her cell, K-9 teleported in, dragging a horrified gasp from her. "K-9!" Surely, she should have summoned him with coordinates sooner, but in her arrogance had not. And she'd taken a wee knock on the noggin. Her dear metal dog must have triangulated off her scream. Messy data. He very well could have manifest half in and half out of the wall of the Alien Ship. But here he was, whole, hale, and ever her defender. "Good dog!"
Now, feeling near fearless, she looked up at that delicate, beautiful, ugly, alien face. The primitive battle display of those extruded, glowing, orange blades, she did her best to ignore. She wanted to scare this chitin-covered Mad Scientist right back to where it came from.
That is when she saw Jack. Jack! He had come, and just in time to help back her play.
"The Earth is defended!" She declared, having taken the translator from her pocket and holding it up up so not a word would be missed, it firmly clicking and whistling strongly along with her.
"With ingenuity -" she opened the cell door that moment still holding on to it for balance, making room for the other inmates room to escape and proving her point all in one move "-and technology you can't begin to imagine! So you will retract your weapons and let us go, OR MY 'PET' WILL DISS - ARM YOU!"
When she said "MY 'PET'"', she let her eyes find Jack's and dropped him a wink, then let her gaze slide on by trying not to betray his presence, letting him decide. Captain Jack was very good as such things.

K-9 surveyed the situation and decided that a show of force would probably be best. If a robotic dog could have feelings K-9 would have classified his as feeling better. Better because now he could protect Sarah Jane from any threats that may attempt harm to his mistress.
The Earth truly was defended and K-9 enforced Sarah Jane’s comment by extracting and extending his laser imbedded nose systems. The lights on his back lit up and blinked rapidly as everything was processed into his core computer data base. He turned to face the hostile enemy and fixed his targeting system onto the alien present.
It would not be the first time that K-9 had to use deadly force and it probably would not be the last. He WOULD defend his mistress. “Affirmative Mistress, weapon systems are fully armed and operational,” He stated in his mechanical like tin dog voice.

Ooc; Jack is currently pressed against the wall, about a three meters away from the door frame. He's trying to hide in the shadows, partially to the side of you, so that he can't be seen as easily. It's probably important mention that he is in the room. He's no longer in the corridor.
I'd like to know if Jack can harm Sundosia in any way. Even if it's something minor. I just want to make sure, because Jack and the others need Sundosia to be a bit distracted, so they can escape.
Grinning broadly, Jack watched Sarah Jane and K-9 exit the cell. He still had no clue as to Owen's position, but the sheer bravery and power exuding from Sarah Jane was much important at that moment. The woman was old enough to be his mother and, if she had been, then he would be a very proud son.
Seeing Sarah Jane's wink, Jack shuffled himself into the alien's view. He was still off to the side, away from the others. Using this strategy, the alien could not kill them all in one swoop. He raised his gun and aimed in between the black beast's eyes - a kill shot. There was no way he was leaving this room without threatening his friends' captor first.

A tin dog appeared in thin air threatening the alien was very stranger for this Torchwood member. “What’s next the loony tune alien?” He was relieved that Sarah had taken the action to move out. She even made room for him. Well, Sarah had been calling Owen Harry. Who was Harry anyway? He figured she got hit on the head to hard.
Owen could see Jack. The weird thing was he would not notice Jack before if he was alive. Being a dead man did weird things to a body that’s a corpse.
Closing his eyes, Owen pushed himself up slowly and praying nothing was broken. It seemed to be fine, because he was standing up. The woman was grabbing the attention with her tin dog. Who was she? Where in the world did she get a tin dog that advanced?
Owen nodded his head looking at Jack. With that Owen had stood front of Sarah, he moved in a way pass her trying to haul her behind as he was trying to get them out. “Come on, red mistress!” he growled at her.
