The words from Sarah Jane hit her, and she found she understood them. Whirling around to the woman, she gave an excited laugh, "Finally! You must tell me how it is that I now understand you, where I was not able to before!" See? She was misunderstood, just was looking for someone to tell her what was going on here. Anyone who was confused and lost would take extreme measures to figure out things, right? Either way, she knew that something was different, where before she was trying to speak with them, and they did not understand her, but now, now, one of them had suddenly spoken in her language. Abandoning Owen again, Sundosia made towards Sarah Jane, trying to start circling her, like a wolf about to devour it's prey, "Where you perhaps holding out this whole time? Perhaps you knew my tongue all along? Perhaps I was wrong and had frightened you to where you could not remember? You must share your secret, by the way, what are you?" She inquired, her curiosity piqued. Owen had no longer provided what she needed, she was going back to Sarah Jane again, and just leaving him there in the cell. She may release him eventually.

So this was how one feels as a specimen in a cage. This was very funny. He now wonder if this how Janet and the other aliens felt being caged. Hearing them speak, Owen did not understand. This was just life throwing medicine back at the Torchwood member. What goes around and comes around. This was pay back.

"We are humans. Homo Sapiens. Mammals. Natives of this planet called Earth, galactic co ordinates-" She reeled off the series of ones and zeros that indicated where Earth stood physically in the known universe.
Moving slowly, for she saw how the creature circled her like prey, Sarah Jane turned in a slow circle as the large creature moved around the room. It was surprisingly beautiful in it's way, it's movement oddly fluid for it's segmented body, and it's eyes were filled with rainbows.
"You don't frighten me. You certainly startled me when you grabbed me in the woods. I would have shared words with you earlier, but humans talk out of their mouths and you had mine covered, didn't you?"
She readied her Sonic Lipstick one handed in her pocket. As the Alien circled around her on the far side of the cage the Torchwood man was in, Sarah Jane stepped casually in the direction of the door to that cage. The man did not look well, what damage had the creature already caused him?

It felt like forever until Sundosia finally learned what exactly these creatures were and what planet she was on. Her mandibles clacked together to show she was pleased, though she was not sure how much the human would pick up on that. "Even if I had not grabbed you, human, I would have still been unable to understand you. I had no idea you had such a device that allowed you to speak to me." She responded, that would be a nice piece of equipment to snatch from Sarah Jane's hands. She would just have to wait for the opportune moment to do so. Her yellow eyes glanced over to the man in the cage before she looked back over to Sarah Jane, "The human in there is unharmed. I can assure you that." She said before walking over back to him, "I suppose you will be wanting to take this one away now." The Valia added, before looking over to Sarah Jane, "but I can not let him go and leave with no human, I want at least one of you for study." With that, she had revealed her current motives at last.

Owen was in the dark in the chit chatting. He was not pleased with the lady who came back. To make it more interesting, the red head had a device that allowed he speak in the alien insect language. He had no idea what the alien wanted or what she was saying to the woman with the alien artifact.
Owen looked at the lady, “You are supposed to stay away,” he told her. He looked at the alien, “She seemed to be interested in what I am…I reckon she is into the human body. Well, I have a surprise for her. I am actually dead. No heartbeat. No blood. No breathe. I can’t feel anything. She can study me and think you are like me. It makes a great cover up protection for the planet. I give the wrong first impression. And I nobody will be in pain…” he said. But he will be a mess and he will be awake. That one thought he did not want. But it will end his suffering as being a walking dead man. He had to actually have an end. Why not give it as a bad impression what Earth is like. Confuse the alien. Plus Owen was doing Jack a favor. Martha Jones was around. Owen was a hard case who had shot John. He had been giving new members a hard time. It was time Owen gave himself away to death…God he wished he did not have too. He was terrified. He just wasn’t sure. Where was that man in the suit that say this is all a Twilight Zone!
He looked at Sarah. "And I gave myself freely for you to be safe. Now ask her you can leave. I am dead. So, let me offer what I have for your safety. And I can actually die." He said. Deep down, he doesn't want too. But there is an end to everything and even for Owen Harper has an ending.

She turned off the Translator in her pocket when the Torchwood agent began to speak, not wanting the Bug to understand. Sarah Jane barely spared him a glance, but his words nearly burned her. Dead? How could he be dead? She'd seen too many odd things in her life to waste any time trying to figure out how this could be. The good news was that the Alien had not caused his strange pallor that was apparent even in the slightly red - tinged light that lined everything with it's watered - down - blood color.
She flicked the translator back on and addressed the Alien.
"You don't have to take a human to study. Here on Earth if you want to study anything, you go to the Library and look it up. Thats how things work here, and I can help you do it. As for this man having not been harmed- " As she spoke, she wandered ever so casually closer to his cage, arms held easily behind her back, Sonic Lipstick in her fingers. It was difficult to both speak to this intimidating presence before her, and work the controls behind her back. She also had to listen to the feedback sound to know which way to adjust.
"You don't know a thing about it, or you wouldn't be here to study us. I say it harms him just to be in captivity. Now let him loose and we'll talk about sharing information, eh?" She was trying to sound perfectly reasonable even as her heart pounded. She felt the lock give, and hoped the Torchwood man had as well. With him free, it would double their chances. She would leave it up to him when to utilize it.

The lady was full of surprises; Owen caught her playing with her lipstick behind her back. The amazing part the lip stick was not just a lipstick but a mechanical device that unlocked cages. He coughed and mumbled a thank you behind his hand. The problem he had to act the cough because he had no breath and he was immune to diseases. He was like a walking zombie, but he was much better than the brainless, smelly, slowly moving zombie. This had made Owen wonder was he the only zombie. He figured he was.
He had decided to stay put. He had a plan about dropping his wrist band when they escape. It was a good way for Torchood to track down the space ship. Owen would not be able to be tracked down. The wrist band was like his heart because Torchwood uses to find Owen where ever he is.
The medical doctor whispered to Sarah, “You better not play hero. If we both can’t escape I need you to be free. Torchood will be able to track me down.”
"And the Captain rather have the female be the saved one," he added with a sense of humour or he was attempting too.

If Sundosia was one thing, which she was not, she was many things, but she was certainly sarcastic. She scowled the best she could to Sarah Jane as she preached to the alien about how captivity was harming him, and some other stuff that Sundosia did not recognize. The woman had then spoken about a library, and saying she could have gone there. This was what brought out the scowl and fueled her bad temper, "Right! I could walk right into one of your archives and have read a language I have no knowledge of! I had not known you until this night, human, and had not known of anything of your species, I can look like your kind, but I can not act like them, or talk like them, or fit in among them." She said, thinking about how, if she had that translating device, she probably could. Her fury was already being driven by the words that she could not understand. Sundosia was feeling more and more provoked. Of course, she was always like that when things would not go her way.

It seemed the signs of agitation were often the same in many of the flesh and blood races. She'd even seen such things in the mechanical ones. Now this 7 foot praying mantis before her was near vibrating with it's annoyance at her. For a serious moment, she considered locking herself in with the Torchwood man. At least then they could pose a united front.
Really though, it a terrible idea and of last resort. Sarah Jane only considered it for a heartbeat before she realized she'd have to talk her way out of this one. Well, it wouldn't be the first time. She kept her voice light and easy, hoping her calm tone too will be translated to the creature before her. Having the Torchwood man at her back, his quite encouragements, helped keep her calm. He would fight for her, if need be. She knew it.
"I hear you, I HEAR you." She said, holding out empty hands, having tucked her tools neatly back into her pockets, hoping the creature didn't know what pockets were or that she had them. "I understand that you're angry that things are not going according to your plan. If you could just try to look past that and please understand that I'm here to help you. To help you find what you are looking for. That is what I do. Help entities like yourself ."
Or send them packing, as the case may be, not to mention the occasional bout of destruction forced on her on behalf of the human race.
"Many Earth scientists have learned that they can no longer claim to study anything objectively. To study something is to change it, and to be changed by it. The more aggressively you study Earth, the more you will change it, and the less you will learn about the way Earth really is. It's a loosing battle. It's a battle I don't want you to have to fight.
"You don't have to go to a library. I have a library. I have a library I can download right into your computer if you will let me have access. The only trouble is, I have so much information, there is no way you would be able to find exactly what you're looking for. Your computer might not even be able to process it all."
"It would help if you told me why you've come to study Earth, and what you need to know. Then I can give you everything you need without ever harming anyone here and obscuring your data to the point it will be of no use to you. Alright? Now why don't we just start all over again, as though we have first met. What is your name? I'm Sarah Jane, and I'm here to help you."
If Luke were not at Oxford, he would be finding some way to get K-9 over rough forest paths. Or if Clyde were not at home in his bed tired from a full days work, he'd be disabling the ship or some such to make sure Sarah Jane and the Torchwood man could not be taken off Earth. It looked as though they might be on their own. She started wondering if Torchwood had gotten their man's message or not.

OOC Modify version 2.0 The * is the modifications! It was like being with Jack. There are times Jack did all the talking and the Torchwood team stood and waited. Owen was listening to Sarah and tried to get a grasp on what the big ugly alien wanted from them. He licked his lips as he stepped close to the cell door, he put a hand on Sarah’s shoulder. If things go bad, he will open the door and pull her in from the alien. It would not be the best action, but it would save the woman.
The more aggressively you study Earth, the more you will change it, and the less you will learn about the way Earth really is. It's a loosing battle. It's a battle I don't want you to have to fight.
“Other words we fight back,” Owen whispered sarcastically behind Sarah’s back.
"You don't have to go to a library. I have a library.
*How did a library got into all of this?” Owen whispered in.*
I have so much information, there is no way you would be able to find exactly what you're looking for. Your computer might not even be able to process it all.
“Oh Tosh would love to get her hands on your computer,” he added. “If we do survive.”
*Owen squinted his eyes because he heard English from the alien. It was muffled that Owen had a hard time hearing it.*
Owen took the opportunity to look around what he can see of the ship. He even kept an eye on Sarah and the seven foot mantis. He was trying to understand the alien mantis body language. “God, it looks like Men Black Two,” he said, as a small joke.
Sarah Jane, that’s what Owen heard and those were the only. He squeezed her shoulder so she knew he was there backing her up.

Owen titled his head. It was a annoying for Owen he almost does not understand the alien. So, he told Sarah. Owen whispered to Sarah, "Darling? I barely an hear a word here or there." Modify Version 2.o. Or should I say, take 2! Owen will get it.

Ever so quickly, she turned around, nose not two centimeters from the bars of the cage. She was too careful to touch it at all. She looked hard into his eyes. Yes. Dead. He was dead. But still his eyes were so kind. So wizened. So sad. So perfectly smart aleck.
What she saw most was the deep, deep courageousness of him. He reminded her so of her own dear Harry Sullivan who ever would have died to protect her. It was something that could not be faked or mistaken by her.
For that instant that she faces him, she is smiling hugely to see the visage of her friend here beside her in this tense moment. Her tears welled up with her love of Harry and for the goodness of this dead man.
"Harry, shut up and be ready." She nearly spat at him.
She is spinning back to face the Alien, not five rapid heartbeats after she had turned around.
Who had he died for, she wondered, for surely he had died for someone. Probably a woman.
She wondered this distantly. The Alien had her full attention now.

The human continued to try to talk Sundosia down, but she only grew more uneasy. Experience told her that there was something off about this, something was just too easy. Just offer her the information? It's a losing battle? This person was trying to deter her? Sundosia's paranoia was kicking it, probably at the wrong time. To her, something just did not add up so she put a more threatening tone in her voice with her next words, "You are obviously trying to deter me!" She growled before the woman gave a name, Sarah Jane? Quite an unusual name, but who was she to judge? "And why should I hand over my name to you? For all I know, you could go out and tell the world about me. If you knew what I really was, you would know what my kind do." After she spoke those words, the only thing that escaped her was what seemed like a hiss and she was prepared to strike, "And do not think that you can just take off with my prisoner either." She added, mandibles clacking together as she let off a warning growl.

Owen saw the lady was looking sad and she mentioned Harry. She said it looking right at him but not through him or by him. He was not sure, but he was determined to provide to save her if things got worse. His eyes darted to the left and to the right to see parts of the ship. He was trying to figure out what was what. He had no idea because it was all alien because the insect was an alien.
A thought came running across his mind and he needed to talk to Sarah. The insect was protective over them. There was thing he could do to get the chance. Was to fake it.
He moaned, holding his hand against the cell wall, and slowly sink down to the floor. He was careful for not breaking his body. But he played the moaning making it sound like he was sick. He figured it could work because the insect was not human and she won’t see his bad acting.

It was bad acting, but it was an excellent cue.
She was glad to get it, as well, starting to feel as though she was running short on options.
It was important to go into these situations with an open mind, but she now believed this "Scientist" was a bit too far on the destructive, pushy side of things to follow Sarah Jane's own definition of that calling. In fact, the way the thing reacted in such a primitive fashion, clacking it's chitinous mouth-parts together and growling at her, Sarah Jane didn't think this was the sort of dilemma that she could talk her way out of. This would have been easier if the Bug had been dumber.
"Harry! Oh, Harry!" She cried, turning back to the cage bars, her acting somewhat better than his, though far from her best. She didn't bother to try very hard, for she was quite distracted.
Sweat broke out on her forehead as she worked her Sonic Lipstick again, one handed, through her pocket, and hyper aware of the agitated Alien at her back. This time she must lock the cage, and quickly, so the Alien would not know she could unlock it. Her back felt quite exposed.
"Harry what's wrong!? Talk to me!" She wailed, stalling as long as she could and working feverishly in those short seconds before she must turn back around.
