Suddenly, the human had spoken to her. She grew still, for but a few moments as he seemed to understand her, but she could not understand him. His tone was no less threatening, but he had responded to her, perhaps the language barrier could be broken through him? "It is your lucky day, strange creature. I have found something better."
[/i]"If you are saying something to me, strange creature, I can not understand what you say. It seems my camouflage device came without a translation system."[/b][/i] She responded to Owen, mandibles clacking with excitement. Just give her some way to understand people, learn about the Earth, and send her on her way. She will try not to cause too much trouble, but there were no guarantees. Sundosia thought of spreading her wings, but that would just give him something to shoot at. If she was going to do something like that, she may as well hang a sign on her head saying 'shoot me'. "Put your weapon away..."[/i] She hissed at him, "and I will release this one."[/i] Of course, she had to save her own skin as well, make sure that she was not going to be shot as soon as she released her captive, since she had a better deal to make. The one with the weapon seemed harder prey, but if he refused to cooperate, she was going to keep hold of the one she had. While she still wanted to drag her back to the ship, she remained there, mainly afraid of the weapon he held, since it seemed such a weapon could easily tear through her exoskeleton and kill her. There was a word here and there, but it to click clacking noises she said. The problem he believed he had a little understanding the intellect insect. She wanted him to drop the gun. He believed he heard the alien said she will release the woman. That did not add up right. When one wants to take someone as a hostage they don’t give in that easy. Unless, you’re an alien that does not think like a human; that as a possible, he had some training in psychology. How could he put that in use if he had no idea how psychology works. He blinked his eyes. Survival, that seemed to be a vital demand for all species. Shelter, he wondered where this alien was taking the woman. Food, that was under survival. The possible might be simple and Owen can’t pin point it. That woman was a citizen of UK and he had save her. Deep down, he had too.
He had no real body expression, so, he really can’t do the tight up the muscles. You can say he is a walking total relaxed state. “I will make an exchange,” he said. “You let her go and you take me in exchange. When you start to let her go I will drop my gun. Is that fair?” he said slow and hoped she would understand.

Unfortunately, his talking and his tone confused her again. It did not sound hostile, but she could not figure out what he was trying to say. She made a growl that turned into almost a clicking noise as she tried to figure out what the other was doing or saying. Still, her yellow eyes were locked on his weapon, and her head tilted towards it. A lanky claw came out, pointing at the gun before she pointed over to the side, trying to communicate and tell him to drop it. Quickly she drew in her clawed hand again, to avoid getting shot by it. Her mandibles clacked lightly as she seemed anxious, that weapon could definitely hurt her, or kill her even, and she was not wanting to take her chances. She would be willing to take him, but she may have to kill him or something, or make sure he did not go and tell others of her existence. Perhaps they could work that out after she broke the language barrier. For now, Sundosia was going to hold tight to her captive, claws no doubt trying to dig in to any exposed flesh as the alien tried to keep Sarah Jane in front of her as best as possible.
Occasionally, she was looking behind her to make sure that no one tried to come up behind her. It would be bad if there was another one of these creatures with a weapon coming up from behind or beside her. Things would just get even worse if that happened. The very thought made her clack her mandibles again, showing her distress as she glanced around, looking for something to back up to in order to make sure nothing came up from behind her. At least she may be able to fight if she were facing those who posed a threat to her. There was a wall to what appeared to be the dwelling place of these strange creatures, she could back against there but what about the man pointing the gun to her. Shifting her weight, Sundosia slowly began to move towards the wall, trying to drag her captive with her, and keep her in front as a 'shield'.

The man stretched his hand out to his side, to show he had extended the gun away, and he allowed the gun drop to the ground. He had no other option. He knew the creature did not like the gun. Now he gave up his chance defending the woman and himself. He showed his arms out and showing he had no weapon on him. The left hand was bandage because he was an idiot showing off to Martha.
“Now, you see I have no weapon,” he said calmly. The tone he said to people you won’t shoot me, because you don’t have the heart. It worked all lot, but one time he was a victim to a doctor he looked up as a doctor.
Standing there and hoping, Owen had waited to see what the alien would do. Of course Owen wasn’t going to simply give up. He would be brave and stupid to slowly follow this alien. He needed to contact Torchwood. He had no communication on him. But it be nice if he was taken by this alien because he had the wrist band on his left hand. The team could track Owen down; the benefits of being walking dead person.

She stilled when the Soldier came back. It was in part in part because half of her deep fear melted almost instantly out of her, and in part because she didn't want to ramp up this ruckus up to the point that somebody got shot. The first shot was still rang in her ears and her heart.
For a moment, she found herself profoundly, horribly pleased that the Alien understood and was effected by the weapon. She could tell by the way the thing pressed her high and hard against its stiff bug-like form. It was shielding itself with her. So the gun could hurt it. All Sarah Jane could do was hang there, holding on to that claw across her mouth with both hands, and watched the proceedings.
Sarah Jane was highly vexed that she could not speak. She was near certain this Soldier boy was going to blow it. She moaned a little when the giant bug-like Alien cut loose with a series of clacks and whistles. The Solider might not be able to believe it, but she suspected this creature was intelligent. The slightest sweet bitter tang of spaceship fuel was in Sarah Jane's mouth.
Then the most amazing thing happened. The Soldier listened. The Soldier tried to understand the Alien. And Sarah Jane in turn tried to understand him, her eyes searching his face, his gaze. Her own eyes were wide with shock and a sudden hope. This one was more than he seemed.
To her amazement, the next thing the Soldier did was a fair job at not only communicating, but of attempting to secure her freedom. Even to the cost of his own freedom. Her fear continued to melt, like icicles in the sun.
There was quite a bit of interspecies charades going on, though it was deadly serious. Negotiations grew complex. Sarah was quite riveted by the whole thing.
Quite.

The man put the gun down, and a soft clacking noise came from Sundosia. She was pleased, as her head bobbed up and down slightly. It was almost like a predator, eying it's next prey. Now, what to do with her current victim? It could also be compared to tempting a dog that has a bone, with a bigger bone, the dog likes the bone it has, but the other bone is some how more appealing. Sundosia's mandibles clacked, as she wanted to just take the both of them, but she would be able to haul the both of them back to her ship. Growling, she made her decision as she forcefully shoved away Sarah Jane and made her way towards Owen, moving quickly in case he tried to pick the weapon up again. While she had her own gun, she needed the creature alive, otherwise he would not be able to help her.
When she approached him, a clawed hand attempted to come over his eyes and she barked an order, "Move!"
[/i] while trying to nudge her knee into his back in order to get the message across. Looking over to the creature she had let go, she reached over to grab the gun. She could take it with her, just in case this other tried to grab it in order to turn the tables back on her. She was still wary, listening for any others who may intrude upon this party of theirs. Any mistake could cost her, her life, and all she wanted to do was to try to figure out just how to communicate with everyone, though the body-language seemed to be doing the trick, and she rather enjoyed taking a hostage. He did not fight or resist the big bug. It was a choice of will that he made the arrangement. The claw blinded him, he did not like the dark, it reminded him of Death in blackness waiting for him. He felt cold in that blackness. With his eyes closed, he was moving forward. Now he was total scared because he can feel nothing and he can’t see now. He got ears still. Please don’t take that away. The man realized that would be the worse punishment anyone could do to him. They can punish him by blind folding him, cover his ears so he can’t hear and bind him up. That would be emotional torture that possibly could break his will.
He feared for his own second chance of life. There was one option, he decided to say it out loud and hope that the woman hears it. “Jack Harkness at Torchwood,” he said and saying the telephone number. He wasn’t sure she heard it. But she did have some kids on her side, a super computer and a robotic dog made by the Doctor. Owen had no clue about anything. He just knew he saved a life and Torchwood could track Owen down.
So, there he was walking scared not feeling a thing and he had to let the alien manhandle him. He could only hear it behind him. He could hear her clicking. Amazing, his hearing just seemed to improve because all the other senses are not working.

There was a terrible nobility to the Soldier's actions. Even by slivers of moonlight, she could see that he hated this, yet continued. He didn't even know her.
For a moment after the man put down his weapon, Sarah Jane thought the thing might still not let her go. Then it did, most emphatically, flinging her away. Even though mentally prepared for this contingency, there is no good way to make a landing in a bush. Out of one set of branches and into another. She racked her ribs a good one and got scraped up as she crashed through to the ground.
“Jack Harkness at Torchwood,” the Soldier said, and called out a telephone number. Her lips silently repeated this number twice silently as she pulled herself up and out of forest loam. Eyes wide on the huge, mantis-like creature, she watched in horror as the Alien made it's way deeper into the wood, dragging the man with him.
Keeping a close ear on the Alien, she pulled out her cell phone even as she got to her feet. She unconsciously brushed dirt off herself as she brushed off the annoyance that she really would have to call Torchwood. She was certain she could handle it, but what else was she to do after the Soldier . . . ..no, after the Torchwood Agent, had sacrificed his freedom for her own?
Single button dial. Not Torchwood. Mr.Smith.
"Yes, Sarah Jane?" "Ring up Captain Jack at " She repeated that number, spot on, voice hushed. "Ask for the Captain, but give information to whomever answers. Tell him it's Sarah Jane Smith. Tell him one of his men has been abducted by an Alien life form. Giant Insectoid. Tell him I'm pursuing into the wood behind 13 Bannerman Road, London. Give him my number. Tell him to call, ask him to come. And Mr. Smith, wake K-9 and tell him to wait for me at the North East corner of this greenbelt." Heck and spit. This was the entirely wrong kind of terrain for K-9's low clearance. She hung up and put her phone on vibrate.
She wiped her mouth with the back of her sleeve, now working her jaw, stiff from her trial. She could no longer hear the retreating pair she must track, but knew their direction and would travel faster unencumbered. She'd find them. "Bully." She said, tossing her hair out of her eyes and fishing out her Sonic lipstick. Open, it made a pink glow just bright enough to keep her footing by. It was hard going. She went in the direction she last heard them, quiet and alert as she could be.

The human had called out to the other as he began to be led away. This made her nervous, there was only one reason that she could eventually rationalize in her mind, that he was calling for reinforcements. That was just a guess, but she still held as sense of urgency as she led the creature out back to her ship. Once they arrived, she took him inside and brought him to the tiny holding cell located in it. It was there she uncovered his eyes long enough to give him a quick push into the cell. It was there she pressed a few buttons on a control panel to try to lock the ship. She had to get in there to investigate, it was almost like a child. She took on a different tone, clacking her mandibles together lightly as she slowly approached him. Once she got closer, she seemed to be looking him over, and tried to convey this to him by first pulling at his shirt and feeling of the fabric. Fascinating, so there was flesh beneath this strange material? She had to learn more. She then reached down to try to grab his hand and hold it up to where she could look at it.
Looking back to him, she tried to speak to him again, "Five digits? Such a fascinating claw, and it is all a very soft covering...not a shell like mine."
[/i] She said, though not sure how much of that he understood. So far, she had not tried to harm him, though that may be yet to come. She wanted to study the brain of this creature, how it worked in comparison to her own species. Sundosia was searching for something to grasp with these creatures, something to make them somehow familiar to her own kind, but it was becoming more and more clear that these were a very familiar and intriguing species. She needed a live subject, since it would be no fun to try to communicate with one that had deceased, would it not? Of course, once she was done, she may have to find a way to silence him. Flipping up the little dish on her Alien Detector wristband, which also doubled handily as a watch, she scanned the area ahead. Shamelessly she was using her Sonic Lipstick to light the way. She wasn't interested in taking another big fall tonight, her side was already getting stiff and her palms were scraped up but good.
She wasn't much of a tracker really, but she hadn't been far behind. It wasn't more than three or four minutes before she spotted the broken trail of the Alien. She followed it a little ways, then tried the detector again. Bingo. Faint, but enough to follow. The plot couldn't be more than 2 acres anyway.
There it was. Different than she'd ever seen, but same as them all, a ship was a ship. Well, except the TARDIS.
Part of her was very carefully tracking the time. Nine minutes since the Alien had taken the Agent. She wondered how he was faring and hoped deeply he was alright. Jaw working in consternation, she took the phone out of her pocket and turned it off. All she needed was the signal or the vibration giving her away.
From good cover, she watched the ship for a solid minute, hating every second that ticked by. Nothing. She went in the shadows to the ship. The door of the thing was not obvious. She took a simple refrigerator magnet from her pocket. A little yellow plastic pineapple. This she ghosted across the surface until it stuck. Over the years she had learned that most hatches had an electromagnetic lock. Finding the door, she first took a quick look around to make sure all was still. Next, she took the Alien Translator out of her pocket and turned it on. She would not be caught with it dormant again. Back into her pocket it went, but it would still work from in there, if a little muffled. Then she bent to her task, working at the seal with the vibration.
"Come on. Come on." She whispered encouragingly to it. Fourteen minutes and counting.. Unless the door was deadlock sealed, she'd have it open in one more minute for certain.

Opening his eyes, Owen noticed he was in a cell block. “Ironic,” he said. He became the victim in the cells. He stepped back, not feeling the wall that stopped him moving back. He had not sense of touch. He sensed her eyes looking him up and down. It was a feeling he had. He feared of she was going to rip him open, but, she stuck her claw down his shirt. He was being felt by an alien and he could not feel it. He wanted to close his eyes, but he will be missing what she was trying to do. He was not sure what she wanted. He would admit this was interesting adventure.
The alien had indeed got his hand, she seemed interested he had finger. “No, tough skin,” he replied. Was she studying him? He waved his fingers. “Fingers,” he waved them. “Not claw, but, fingers.” He replied to her. He wasn’t sure what she wanted. Whatever it was she got it and that lady was safe.
Owen looked around. It was indeed alien. He had no other way to get a feel of it. No smell, no touch to feel anything. He could not even taste the air either. But, here he was being studied by an alien. He became the creature behind the cell block. What comes around goes around he thought. Ironic.

It seemed he finally got the message as she was investigating him and it seemed he had begun to help him. Sundosia did not hear the click as the door was being unlocked, nor did she realize that Sarah Jane was outside of her ship and about to get in. The man spoke to her, said a word that she was unsure of, "Fin...gers?" She asked, perhaps they were trying to communicate? Perhaps she should start by saying who she was? Well, no, she did not want to reveal her name. Taking a few small wires with round white things at the end of them, she placed them gently upon various parts of his head. It was then she shut the cage door, it was a see-through door, and left him there to go and try to figure out how this creature worked, and search in any data banks to see if she could locate the identity of the species. She also wanted to see what made them tick, basically.
Returning to the cage door, she went back inside again and looked at his eyes before looking to his lips. This was the part of them that they spoke through orally, right? She looked at it before thinking of what served as her own mouth. Interesting, they had no mandibles, but instead strange off-colored pieces of flesh that looked a little bloated compared to the rest of the skin around it. She looked down to his throat, these creatures certainly were built different than they were, perhaps she should kill this human, instead just to see what he looked like inside. No, that would attract a little more attention than she planned, no doubt she had attracted attention right now, but she did not want to gather about more.

The insect must be a scientist because she was studying him. She left him with wires on his head. He did not know how many he had on his head. He tried to feel, but he was unable to feel. The alien seemed to have a good IQ. Maybe, she has more IQ and not stupid.
The medical doctor was scared for his dead hide. He looked at his tractor on his wrist watch. He had hoped Toshiko was wondering where he was. That woman was safe, he kept telling himself over and over.
The alien came back. Owen was thinking he won’t feel pain if she started to poke at him. It would be nice to scream in pain. She came back studying his eyes. He stared back at her. ‘God, I am on the other side of the cell block. Ironic,’ he thought to himself.
She was probing to see his throat, he was letting her look because he did not want to fight her and get his neck break. If she broke his neck, he will have to wear a neck brace to keep his head up. This was funny. He wished Jack was here or anybody from the team.
“Are you a scientist?” he asked after he checking his throat.

Heart pounding, she made her way into the spaceship. It was built to accommodate the height of the large, praying mantis like creature. Following the signal from her Alien Detector devise, she held the Translator in her other hand like a giant, glowing triangular cough lozenge. She felt a wave of gratitude for having been gifted such a thing. It was so clear to see this new device was going to help save lives. She hoped so deeply she was not too late.
Sarah had to use her Sonic Lipstick to get through one more interior door, but then she had found her "prize" and apparently on time.
It was not a pretty picture. The Torchwood man was caged, bug hovering over doing something to the man's head. She could really see him for the first time, and he didn't look well. Besides looking worried, he looked quite unwell. The wires attached to his head were also distressing.
She strode two more steps into the room. "Hello there." She said quite firmly. Lightly. Strongly. "I don't approve of cages. Not at all. Let him out." The device worked like a little speaker, spitting out her words in the Alien's language.
