She listened to him talk, watched his actions and looked at his paper, it said he had the job he said he did, but it still felt off...wrong somehow. "I am not at liberty to let you in....this is not my house." she explained. "Would you like me to get the person who owns this house?" she asked him, unsure if she should give Sarah Jane's identity.
Another thought slipped it's way into her head. "What's your name?" she asked him, she wanted to know his name, to see what he called himself as she herself had not come up with one yet. She thought about a few other things and one stuck out with her, it wasn't about this man...not really. It was the question, was it OK to answer the door in your pajamas? What would this man think of her if it weren't something you were supposed to do?

Well, that was at least a step in the right direction. Waiting for the approval of yet another human would be a bit dangerous, but at the moment, it seemed like the best way to get in without making a scene. It had not gotten so bad that he needed to force his way in, and Jiin hoped to keep it that way.
"Well, it won't take a moment, but I am willing to wait until the owner is here...they probably should know about this.'
Mmmmmm, now how to handle the next bit?
"My name is...Sontar. Jeremy Sontar." that should do. It wasn't as if a random human child was going to make any connection.
"Look, I'm willing to wait, but my I come inside for now? I feel rather silly standing here on the doorstep. just...let me stand in the entryway, and I'll wait for the owner."

She nodded as she listened. "Hello Jeremy Sontar." she greeted, Sontar was an odd last name....or was it. He agreed to wait for Sarah Jane and that pleased her, she'd succeeded in her first major objective, to get someone to do as she said and handle this to as far within the situation as she could.
Moving away from the door she nodded at him. "Please wait here." she said inviting him in to stand at the doorway. This still felt wrong. She frowned and moved to go find Sarah Jane. Coming to Sarah Jane's room, she knocked on the door and spoke "There is someone here." she explained as she waited.

She opens the door as she stands on one foot, zipping her boot up, her sweater only on one arm. "Good morning. There is someone here? In the house? Who is it?" Sarah Jane got her zipper done and stomped that heel into place. Now she is scooping up her second sleeve, and her Sonic Lipstick all in one motion.

She watched Sarah Jane in slight amusement. That was entertaining. Who was the man...he'd said his name was...."Jeremy Sontar....he lied though, he lied about rats." she said imply, she knew he had been lying about the rats from teh start. "I would have noticed if there were any, and Mr. Smith would get rid of them before any could even get in." she explained as she walked toward the landing where she'd left Jeremy Sontar, and hoped he would still be standing.

Jiin began to scan the entryway, trying to peek into the room beyond. It would not do for him to be careless, whomever this was had technology far beyond that of the rest of earth.
"Tribb...." he mumbled. "Are you waiting here for me?" He scratched the translucent opening on his forehead. Much as he relished the hunt, he did not know how he would handle an encounter with his foe quite yet...

"Hold your horses, Archetype Mark Two." she said, squeezing by the girl on the stairs, still shrugging her arm into her sleeve. She takes the cap off of her Sonic Lipstick and holds it at ready. Then she reaches back and tugs the girl into place behind her a little and to the side where she wants her.
Sarah Jane enters to see the pudgy young man there. He did look somewhat unassuming, and her irritation at the Archetype 2 for having let him in lessened in a single sigh. However, he did not look much like an exterminator, and he was not standing there eyes front like a professional man would do. He was looking for something, mumbling something to himself.
"Hello there. I didn't call an Exterminator. Who are you looking for, Jeremy Sontar?" Saying that name out loud brought a little frown to her face, "Sontar" was oddly close to "Sontaran".

Ah ha! Now we are getting somewhere Jiin thought victoriously. Of course, he needed this to go as quickly as possible.
"I am very sorry for the deception miss...?" He asked, flashing his psychic paper. "I am in a dreadful hurry, and was attempting to pass myself as an exterminator to gain access to your house...for an ongoing investigation." There we go. Not really even a lie, let here human brain fill in the blanks. Clearly not Tribb in disguise either, not fat enough.

Only a man working with Torchwood could be so young, she thought, and that is exactly what identification she saw as she stepped forward close enough to see.
"The Valia Files, of course. I thought one of you might be coming by. I really don't want that loose on the Internet. Alright, Agent Jeremy Sontar, come on upstairs and I'll download it on a stick for Jack. Follow me. You can come if you wish, Archetype Two." She started leading the way up all three flights of stairs.
She was slightly irritated that he'd lied his way past her guest, but it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. They were both very much on the same side.
"That is what you've come for, isn't it, Jeremy?"

"Yes...of course it is." Jiin lied sweetly. Files...the signal he got had come from the top of the house...perhaps the scanning device was some manner of computer?
In any case, his identity could not remain secret for much longer. When they reached the device, he would need to access it in ways that the woman in front of him may not appreciate. He would need to...remove her.
No, no, if he took her life, then he would essentially be making the same draconian judgment that the Shadow Proclamation would have made, and that was something his honor would never let him do.
Although...it was unlikely that she had seen a Raxacoricofallapatorian before. He could simply disrobe, and she would go running down the stairs screaming. Why, he could be finished befor she could even return!
Jiin mentally patted himself on the back, and began loosening the seal on his forehead, preparing to remove his itchy prison and reveal his glorious form.

She watched him carefully, Sarah Jane had caught his lie...why did he have to lie to her to begin with? That was just rude!....wasn't it? "You didn't have to lie." she stated firmly, slightly insulted that the man would find the need to lie to her. She hadn't ever been lied to, she'd never lied to anyone either. "Isn't there some kind of rule that says you have to lie to someone before they can lie to you?" she asked, honestly curious, not actually knowing for-mentioned rule did not in fact exist. She moved closer to this man, standing directly in front of him a few inches away, not close enough to touch him without moving her arms from their place, but still close. A look on her face, a rather unpracticed one. In her head she had it all worked out, she'd stand there looking all intimidating and he would tell her why he lied and tell the truth this time...simple as that. Correction, she'd TRY to look intimidating. The Archetype Mark 2 watched the man as he moved his hands to his forehead. "What are you doing?" she asked, unsure if she should move away from him now. (Setting her up for possible capturability....not a word but still. Bring some flair to our thraed, hostage situation....maaaaaybeeeee

The Archetype Mark 2 was peppering the poor man with questions. It served him right for coming unannounced before she could prepare the girl for company. Assumptions were not to be made about the peace and quiet at 13 Bannerman Road. She chuckled to herself thinking of the tale he'd have to tell back at Torchwood, and perhaps Captain Jack would call first next time. Or he would come himself. Naughty naughty Captain Jack.
Sarah Jane headed up the first flight of stairs, thinking that if the Young Agent Jeremy Sontar couldn't talk his way past a teenage genius, he wasn't in the right job.

Jiin followed the woman up, inwardly ecstatic. She had no idea what was going to happen, she was practically handing the scanning thing to him on a silver platter! She suspected nothing, Jiin noted, As he could not smell the sweat of apprehension.
But while he was sniffing the air, he noticed something a bit..off. The girl smelled...wrong. Perhaps it had something to do with some aspect of humanity he had not yet learned, but...she smelled far too...new. That was the word. New.
He shook the thought from his mind. He loosened the first part of the seal, just a bit, not even open, and followed. The moment he saw the machine, the suit was comping off!
For now, he gave a small sneer to the child and her silly question.

She didn't like this, not one bit in fact...she hated it. This strange man was to be trusted? Did Sarah Jane know something about him she hadn't figured out. The man had lied to her! Him and his stupid rats....rats of all things it didn't make sense. She'd never lied to him so why did he lie to her. She had to know, had to ask and couldn't stop herself. "I didn't lie to you so why did you lie?" she asked, following close behind him as he followed Sarah Jane toward Mr. Smith.
Thinking about she started to come to a possible conclusion. Maybe, he knew what she was...somehow, and felt she couldn't understand whatever he had been hiding? that was the only thing she could think of that fit, without mentally insulting the man's prior choices.

"Archetype Mark Two, he was just trying to talk to me. Torchwood has a funny way of doing things." She said with a touch of reprimand in her voice, obviously for the Torchwood man, and not the confused girl. "You did fine at the door" She said as she opened the Attic door and proceeded the man in.
It was an airy, open space, reference materials and odd this and that just everywhere. There was a nice couch, and a few other chairs in front of desks as well. "Mr.Smith, I need you." she said, glancing back at her visitor, a bit of a proud grin on her face, watching Mr.Smith wake was quite impressive, really. She'd show government subsidized Torchwood a thing or two.
