She listened, calmly and intently to what was being said. Sarah Jane confermed what she'd known and what she'd learned. It was dangerous to be around Sarah Jane? Why? She knew what dangerous meant but this seamed nice, not like a bad thing. The question did she understand what Sarah Jane meant appeared in the room.
It lingered in the air for a while as some questions do, as the girl thought about it. "Dangerous means possibly.....threatening to ones safety?" she said, half asking to make sure if her deffenition was accurate or not. She knew what Sarah Jane meant by that, kind of. She understood there would be risks and had known about this fact since she had started watching Luke. She knew about what they did, what could happen and didn't mind it. It meant something exciting could happen at any time and thats just what she wanted, exciting, something to remember.
"I don't mind dangerous." she explained quickly trying to reassure Sarah Jane that she wanted something fun to do anyway.
(Sorry for the bad spelling, school computer doesn't ahve internet spellcheck like mine does.)

"Not 'possibly' threatening to ones safety'. 'Dangerous' as in exactly threatening to ones safety. And sometimes it's cold, and sometimes it hurts, and sometimes it's very frightening. And goodness knows I try, but I won't always be there to come rescue you when things go wrong." She said most seriously. Apparently one of her weak spots was describing the danger in some way that sounded dreadful instead of exciting to a teenager, whether they were 17 or not quite 2. She could see her error already in the Archtype Mark 2's shining eyes.
"I don't want you to be afraid, but I want you to be aware. I want you to make the choice that is right for you. I want you to sleep on this decision as well. Any time you want out, you let me know, and we'll find the right place for you. I'm telling you this because tonight, I'm inviting an Alien here to meet with me." The smallest motion of her hand is intended to cut off whatever excitement or objection the girl might voice."He's a friend. He is not the danger tonight. The trouble is, danger follows my friend almost wherever he goes. Big trouble. By inviting him here, I'm inviting the possibility that something could go very wrong. Tonight."
She watched the Archetype Mark 2 very carefully, still uncertain herself if she wanted the girl to go or to stay.

Her eyes widened with amazement and interest. Something that was exciting, something that was potentially harmful, AND something that was scary all at the same time? So interesting. Tingles shot through her spine as her heart rate spiked a little, she wanted to see something like this so very badly.
Sarah Jane had said she wanted the girl to sleep on this information, so she would, because Sarah Jane wanted her to do so. She'd said she would bring an alien to the house so the two could converse but that bringing him here might also bring danger. Now she was even more interested, so much so that she wanted to jump up and run to meet this alien, even if he wasn't here yet. The Archetype Mark Two contained herself though, contained her emotions and stopped herself from doing what seh wanted to do.
Instead, she leaned back on the bed and moved her head on the pillow. "Can I meet him?" she asked from her newfound position. She wanted to meet this alien man but she so wanted to sleep. Her body was going to give on her any moment, even if she didn't want it to.

The Archetype Mark 2 was sliding between wide eyed excitement and half lidded exhaustion. Sarah Jane was beginning to find her as cute and difficult as a basket of kittens. It didn't surprise her at all when the girl sort of melted into laying down.
Sarah Jane went to the closet and took down Luke's extra down blanket with it's blue corduroy duvet. It was quite the fluffy armload.
"Can I meet him?" The girl asked, most wistfully.
"Probably not." she answered, turning from closet to bed, smiling to take the sting from her words. She let the large blanket unfurl down in front of herself, then, starting at the foot of the bed, began to drape it over. She dropped it gently down all the way up to the girl's shoulders, and gave it a good tuck. Then she picked up the heavy book off the dresser, and sat down with it in the chair across from the bed.
"We might come knocking on the door if he wishes to meet you." Scan you. Question you.
Sarah was confident in her ability to curb the Doctor's rather inhuman bedside manner, should they decide to wake the Archetype Mark 2. "In fact, I want you to promise me that you'll stay in this room until at least 6 o' clock in the morning unless Luke, K-9, or I come for you. We're all watching over you tonight, so you have nothing to worry about, and no reason to leave. There is a half bathroom right through that door. So. No matter what you hear, no matter what you hear, I want stay in this room tonight. Will you promise me? To stay here unless one of we three come looking for you?"
Be there calamity, the last thing she needed was this youth running around in the middle of it. She also felt inside her something she'd rather deny. A small worry that somehow the Doctor would have to take the Archetype Mark 2 away. Or . . . . or do something to her. She knew that was irrational, but it was in her nature to try to imagine the worst so she could avoid it. It was hard, though, to think of how it hurt when he blew up her dear K-9 Mark 3 at the school.
She watched the girl's face and ran her fingertips over the deeply embossed leather of the book, a fine, fine thing it was.

The blanket was draped over her as she lay there, eyes half open and Sarah Jane was talking. Telling her to stay in the room for the night, not to leave at all. She nodded slightly in response. Sarah Jane sat down in the chair near the bed with the big book of Harry Potter. She stared at for a moment, thinking.
Sarah Jane and this friend of hers would come if they needed to, understood: She was to stay in the room till that point came, if it came, also understood. She nodded once more in conformation and waited, attempting not to fall asleep...and somewhat failing she was sad to admit, even if she was admitting it in her own head.

She should have held the blanket ransom until she'd extracted a promise from the girl. Putting the book aside, she went down on one knee at the head of the bed. Taking hold of that narrow shoulder, she gave it a very short but vigorous little shake.
"Archetype Mark 2. Kiddo. Wake up, just a few more seconds. Come on. Open your eyes. I need you to promise me you'll stay in here until morning" she summed up shortly. "Please, look at me and promise me."

She felt a hand on her shoulder and heard Sarah Jane's voice, half there and half not to her at least. She opened her eyes and looked at the women before her. She had to promise, she had to stay in the room no matter what. "I promise to stay in the room no matter what." she replied in answer. She had to be as precise as her mind would allow on this, couldn't just say she promised without saying what she had to promise to do.

"Good night, Archetype Mark 2." She said softly with a bit of an exasperated sigh, though who she was exasperated at, herself for keeping the girl up too late, or the Archetype Mark 2 who made such a sweeping promise. Sarah Jane stood up beside her.
If Luke, K-9, or herself came to fetch her, any one of the three could easily overpower her out of the room if need be. The redhead was such a slip of a thing. At least the Archetype Mark 2 had caught the salient points of what Sarah Jane was saying. Close enough. It's not like the house was going to burn down tonight, and if by terrible chance it did, no human could stay in the room on simple resolve. That phenomenon had been terribly documented in the 9/11 attacks in America.
This is what went through her head as she rose and stood above the exhausted, manufactured child. Most carefully she caught a smooth of hair and skimmed it off the girl's face with a fingertip.
"Sleep well"

The Archetype Mark 2 did not respond, she was too tired to respond. Her thoughts were getting jumbled, mixed up with each oher as if trying to form a nonsense story. It wasn't working though, there was no new story in her head, even if she hadn't planned it to happen.
Her mind swam with all the things that had happened within the last day. She'd met her predecessor, the Archetype Mark 1, Luke Smith, though that was during the night. She'd gone with him to his room and met the strange metal dog K-9, then he'd taken her to meet Sarah Jane, She had told Sarah Jane a little bit about what she knew, and that she'd watched Luke and frightened the other human teenagers, that Mrs. Wormwood had found her and what she had been *born* to do. After that, she'd had a shower, and she and Sarah Jane went to the attic to meet the talking computer Mr. Smith. Then they wound up here, in this room talking more as she almost fell asleep.
She thought of the emotions she'd felt during this time. The Archetype 2 had first thought she was broken, had a sort of panic attack, been nervous, calm, then excited and intrigued. She liked her new puzzle cube allot, liked meeting Mr. Smith and talking to Sarah Jane.
The girl loved her new piece of technology Sarah Jane had called an Ipad, a mini Mr. Smith....should she name it? Mr. Smith had a name so if the Ipad was like a mini Mr. Smith...then wouldn't it make sense? Another slightly off thought struck her, did it talk? Oh if it did and they could have conversations that would be fantastic!
Mr. Smith and K-9 popped into her head, she liked them both already quite allot, found them to be interesting. K-9 was a dog right? so maybe she could get another metal dog like him, Luke had K-9 for when he was at school so maybe.....
The prospect of this Harry Potter character intrigued her a little bit and she wanted to learn about him. However she could wait till the morning. Moving the covers of her head, she closed her eyes tightly and drifted off to sleep; into a dream she didn't want to have. Unlike Luke, she did dream, well sometimes and they normally weren't nice.
--------
There, looming above her, stood the most awful thing she had ever known...MRS. WORMWOOD. She was frowning down at her, taller then she remembered her being. "You have failed." the Bane women stated in a tone that said she had expected it all along. "You have become attached to the enemy, to that women!" she continued, shouting the last three words. She'd become attached to Sarah Jane and Luke...didn't you have to be around a person for a long time? She hadn't been around them for long, but maybe for her it worked differently.
"Now, you are of no use to me, I don't need a weapon with emotions." she said, pointing to the girl accusingly. "Because of this, you are no longer needed...but I can't just let you leave, you'll figure out how to tell someone about this and you will do just that, we can't have that now can we." she explained as she transformed into something even more frightening the BANE MRS. WORMWOOD! A creature much like the Mrs. Wormwood in human-looking form but bigger, with freaky tentacles or whatever those were classified as which could kill a person.
She then tried, to move and she could, thank everything she knew that she could move. The redhead shot up and moved, as fast as she could away from the menace.
As she ran she looked ahead, not wanting to look behind her and see that...thing...women. She spotted them then, Sarah Jane and Luke and K-9 and Mr. Smith, but Mrs. Wormwood didn't even notice them ,only she did. She needed to get to them, so they could run and Mr. Smith could take down Mrs. Wormwood and make her go away and leave her alone.
She ran, ran as fast as she could, hair flying around her, Bane pursuing her. She focused on the people she needed to get to and continued. No matter how fast she ran, how much effort she put into it she couldn't get to them and Mrs. Wormwood was getting closer and closer. --------
Emerald eyes flew open, unnoticed tears lingering in the corner of her eyes. She sat up in the bed, blanket wrapped up around her body, her arms wrapped around her knees. She sat there, sunlight streaking in little by little through the drapes as she thought about the dream. It had been a dream, the thing that happens when you reach rem sleep, she knew that. Yet it bothered her quite allot, she didn't like it: Didn't like that Mrs. Wormwood was still around her even if she was dead or gone or whatever had happened to her.
She found it strange that, though she'd only known them for about a day or so, Sarah Jane and her comrades had been in her dreams, had been what she was running toward for safety. Mrs. Wormwood had said that she had become attached to them in such a short amount of time. It was plausible with Luke, she'd spent months watching him, getting to know about him, but the others were new to her, it didn't fit.
This was one of the most common dreams she had, the reason she had followed Luke primarily at night, to avoid sleeping. This time she hadn't been able to avoid it, it had happened.
Standing up, she walked over the window and opened the drapes slightly to peer outside, it was sunny and nice, some storm clouds in the sky but that was it. Overall a nice day to wake up to. The dream haunted her still and mentally thinking it was just a dream, wasn't working well. "She's dead...gone, she can't come back!" she told herself firmly in hopes of getting rid of what she'd seen.
(I found it completely needed to put Mrs. Wormwood's name in caps for emphasis on just how creepy she can be in the dreams of our little buddy A2. Had the dream idea in my head for a while.)

((To read about what happened in the night at Sarah Jane's house, link to this thread, still in progress in true, time bending fashion. whoniverse-rp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=doctorten&action=display&thread=4842.)) Dawn is just lighting up the attic when Mr. Smith suddenly opens his console with his usual, noisy coolant fanfare, unbidden. This thoroughly rouses Sarah Jane who had apparently fallen asleep on the couch, eliciting from her a soft startled cry as her brain goes from 0 to 60 in one second flat. "Sarah Jane, I am sorry to wake you, but I have detected an alien transmission due to the nature of the signal, I cannot get a closer reading than a mile, but it is within a mile radius." "Thank you Mr.Smith. Collect what data you can, and I'll be back in a few minutes. Next time you need to wake me, play the radio for five seconds before you wake the console, or your voice." She says most dryly. She sat up and plucked up the note on the table. Luke had left without waking her. Back to Oxford. Tears tightened her throat for just a moment, but she found herself smiling because as much as she missed him this is what she wanted for him, to be out in the world like any other regular college kid. "Good boy, Luke." She said softly to herself, then put the note and thoughts of her son aside. "The Archetype Two!" She said to herself, nearly having forgotten the girl from the shock of being awoken as she was. No. Sarah Jane was not alone, but who was this with her, this strange little creature Luke had brought home to her. It was just past six and the girl released from her promise, so she did not bother to tap on the girl's door, but instead went to change her clothing.

Jiin Bliik-Proch Clorbaad-Trax Raatheen, Agent-Detective of the Shadow Proclamation, was having a very bad day.
"-for the third time, I sent them all the signals!" he shouted into his communication device. "Unclear? Unclear!? An Auton could have understood the signals I sent....no, I was not trying to insult your boyfriend....look, I sent my credentials to the government, just like you told me, and they shot my ship down!...Oh, so it never crossed your mind to tell me that no one on this planet knows what the Shadow Proclamation is?!" he hung up in rage.
For about the third time in as many minutes, he scratched in vain at his skin suit. Likely why some use actual skin...probably a lot more comfortable.
"Right, lets take stock of the situation. Cons...my ship is damaged, Unified whatever sees me as a threat, and my tracking device's range is severely hampered. Pros...my blaster and psychic paper are still on me, this skinsuit is supposed to dampen outsider tracking," He winced, realizing that the call he had just made would have made his presence known to anyone with the right technology. Jiin shook his damaged tracker, its devices now clearly pointing to the house in front of him.
"Good to know." he grinned. "someone here on Planet Thick might just have what I need." Quickly forming a plan, he approached the door to the house, and knocked three times.

It was slightly after six in the morning so that meant, she didn't have to stay in the room anymore. That was good. She'd waited though, till her head was clear and ventured downstairs to find Sarah Jane and see what the next step in their....whatever a normal person would call this interaction would be. As she moved, she stopped and looked out the living room window for a few seconds, at the house beside theirs, at the grass and the bits of sky she could see without going any closer.
*Tap....tap....tap* came the door. This caught her attention rather quickly....was the door trying to communicate with her? Thinking about this for a second or two she shook her head and smiled at herself. That made no sense at all. She'd heard similar tapping noises when she'd been watching Luke at school, watched him open the door to reveal another person on other side.
Remembering this fact, The Archetype Mark Two moved over to the door and opened it, still in the Pajamas she'd been in earlier. She looked at the figure in the door way and examined him. Before her stood a somewhat pudgy curly haired person who, judging by her best guess was maybe in his early to mid twenties. She smiled slightly, something that really hadn't happened for her till now and spoke. "Hello." she greeted. "Wait is that the right one?" she quickly asked, somewhat unsure if the greeting was the proper one or if there was something else to say or more to do. Moving her long red hair behind her shoulder in a slightly nervous way. Was she doing this right? Should she get Sarah Jane?
No, she would handle this herself, and prove she could, put her skills to the test....like a puzzle game except the puzzle was this person and to solve it she had to find out what it was he needed. "Are you in need of something?" she asked, extremely confident she'd worded it the right way.

Right, human... how to go about this....
"Hello, lass, I am with..." think of a name, think of a name..."Clom's Extermination. I came about a call I received a few days ago, something about a rat problem?" That's what they were called, right? Rats, not dogs. Humans don't like rats.
"Apparently, some of the neighbors have lodged complaints, say that rats are coming from the house. The city has sent me to...investigate the matter. If you would just let me in, I would love to get this done and confirm whether or not this is the case."
What fortune that he had met a human child. As slow witted as humans were, an adult would never have believed that nonsense. Jiin thanked the Razicost the Huntlord for his good fortune. Now, If she would just let him in, he could figure out the rest himself. Just get in, find the scanner, use it, and leave.

That was good, she'd gotten the greeting right. She cheered and held a mental party for herself...mentally, for her success. What was Clom's Extermination? Something about neighbors and rats? Rats were the rodents that lived in sewer systems, like mouse but absolutely disgusting.....and maybe good for like, science tests, that why the term was Lab Rat wasn't it?
She frowned and looked him over again. "There are no rats, your information is wrong." she stated matter-of-factly as she examined him for any changes in his demeanor. She didn't like this, it bothered her, there were no rats and that was a strange thing to say. she would have noticed them, she was very observant. Sarah Jane would have already gotten rid of any if there were or Mr. Smith would have eliminated them with his computer-alien-ness.
Moving again, she put her hands on either side of the door frame and watched him. "I assure you there are no rats, are there any other things you would like?" she asked, unsure what else to do. She was determined to solve this herself, a little stubborn in this resolve.

Ah, she was going to be difficult? Fine.
"Miss, I'm terribly sorry, but my duty to the city does not allow me to simply act on statements. I have to complete my inspection, and as you can see, I have all the necessary paperwork to search the premises for vermin." Jiin spoke evenly, pulling out his psychic paper.
He had not time to waste at this point. If he lingered...best not to think about that.
"So, young lady, if you would kindly let me in, I have a lot of things to do today, and I want to be out of your hair as soon as possible."
As he spoke, a though crossed his mind. There was something very wrong about this...a random earth house having this level of technology...it didn't add up. For the first time that day, Jiin began to suspect he was walking into a trap.
