Alec continued pounding on the Mentalist, who he hadn't even noticed wasn't fighting back. He grabbed the Mentalist's shoulders, and brought his face down to his knee, slamming it between his eyes.
After that he just tackled him, and pinned him down with his knee. The Timelird doubled his fists again, slamming repeatedly from temple to temple. Left, right, left, right... "This is for Marie!" he paused, trying to think of someone else the Mentalist had wronged, "And this is too!" he slammed him again, this time against his forehead. He stood up and stomped him in the nose once for good measure.
He didn't turn away, he didn't check on Marie, he just glared down at the Mentalist, his fist leveled to the Timelord's face. "Don't... You... Move..." he breathed through his teeth.

"Interesting," Kos said with a curious smile.
The Phantom stared at Kos, then looked back to her laser screwdriver.
"What's interesting?" She asked while watching him carefully with her sea-green eyes. She wasn't sure what he was planning, whatever it was, it probably wasn't good.

The Mentalist, now seeming as dead as a statue was thrown about like a doll. He was given a taste of his own medicine, a real beating. He had his shoulders grabbed and before that even registered, his head was smacked into the attackers knee. A shoot of pain ran between his eyes.
He gave no reaction to the onslaught.
He let himself be tackled to the ground, his temple being battered from every angle. The fists made contact, but feeling did not register. The attackers speech did not register either. The Mentalist had turned into some kind of empty shell.
His body was an empty shell. There was a fight for power in his head. His other sides had woken up- they wanted out. Lukan hadn't played for so long, the smart one had read no books and the gatekeeper had no idea what was going on outside. The murderous side of him had shied away and become reclusive, trying to grasp it's evolution.
And there he was stood in the inner landscape of his mind, his great mansion he'd created for them all to live in, staring at a figure in front of him. She smiled. A bundle of papers in her hand, glasses on her purple top and black jeans clinging to her. Her hair drifted through the breeze and she smiled. She held out her hand for him. The core stood in shock. He muttered... "How could I have... how did I miss that? Why... why did I miss you?" She laughed. "You should know this by now. I've realised... You should know, I'm never far from you. Even though, our memories of shared humanity haven't been the best, you better make it up to me. I'm still human. I'm still Fenwick." She paused. "Well. Go get me back!" She turned on her heels and walked away, humming a song. He watched her walk off and went to stop her, ask her something else- she could read him so well. "What your mouth will not say, your eyes do for you. I can tell what you're going to say." He closed his mouth. She continued to hum away to herself.
He tore off in the opposite direction, noticing all of his selves fighting in one corner of the corridor. He got in among them all and shouted at them all. Control was no longer his concern, therefore, his opinion ignored. Lukan tugged at his sleeve, sucking his thumb and pointing at the woman walking away. He then pointed to his doll. They were similar. He then left the little huddle. He ran after the woman, doll in hand. He kept his thumb in his mouth. He tried to catch her up, but he never could.
His head was slammed against the other man's forehead. His head dropped and before he could move, a foot stamped on his nose. Another loud crunching sound from a body part. A fist hovered over his face. "Don't... You... Move..." His empty shell wasn't filled but in that second of distraction, of that voice registering in his consciousness, one took control.
His eyes flared back to life. They then squinted at the light, a hand going to his nose. A somewhat different manner came over him. He looked up to Alec. "Good god, that is terribly sore! That's ridiculous, I'm just awake... Actually, you seem a decent chap, have you seen my glasses? I think you may have knocked them off of my person." His other hand then raised up. "Oh for goodness- my hair is parted the wrong way. The brute parts it the wrong way every time! I like it to the right! Not the left! Good grief, it isn't all that difficult. Even someone of his intelligence should manage that." After fixing his hair, he wiped his bloodied nose with the back of his hand. It was clear that he couldn't see. "Excuse me, but may I ask what on earth that is? You know, that fuzzy pale blob hovering over me?" Pinching the bridge of his nose as well, he asked. "Furthermore, has anyone seen a Dr. Fenwick about? An alright looking girl, nice enough, not my type- but you see, one of my counterparts refuses to stop being, frankly, very aggravating, until he has found her. He's in love, apparently. I don't think he knows what that is to be honest, but hey, just my opinion! So, yes, anyone seen her about?" This was an entirely different Mentalist they were dealing with now. He was a little... eccentric.

"What's interesting?" She asked while watching him carefully with her sea-green eyes.
"Hmmm?" The Master looked up. "A laser screwdriver." He gave a thin smile. "I haven't seen one of these in... weeks."
Then, with a laugh, he tossed it back to the Phantom. "Here. I suspect this is yours." No reason to alienate the help.
Meanwhile, the Mentalist was continuing to get enthusiastically - if somewhat amateurishly - beaten down. The Master was just beginning to wonder if, perhaps, the man's reputation was overblown when the lunatic seemed to recover his composure.
And his wits.
And a whole new speech pattern, and a new personality to go with it. He rambled on for a bit, ending with:
"Furthermore, has anyone seen a Dr. Fenwick about? An alright looking girl, nice enough, not my type- but you see, one of my counterparts refuses to stop being, frankly, very aggravating, until he has found her. He's in love, apparently. I don't think he knows what that is to be honest, but hey, just my opinion! So, yes, anyone seen her about?"
From behind the Mentalist, he attempted to catch Alec's eye. He pointed at the Mentalist, then drew a finger across his throat, then smiled and gave a thumbs up.

"Hmmm?" Kos looked up. "A laser screwdriver." He gave a thin smile. "I haven't seen one of these in... weeks."
"Who do you know that has one of these?" Maria asked curiously, wondering where he could have seen another laser screwdriver.
Kos laughed and tossed the Laser screwdriver back at her. "Here. I suspect this is yours."
She caught it, then placed it in her jean pocket. "Thanks."
Maria turned towards where Alec and the Mentalist were, glad to see her brother wasn't harmed worse then he was earlier. As for the Mentalist, he seemed to change again in his personality. This one seeming less likely to attack at random, however, that didn't mean she wouldn't put it past him.
She sighed as she muttered to herself. "I wonder if it'd be easier to use mine... though... I'd have to find a place to put whoever he..." Maria stopped herself from saying more then that. She normally wouldn't talk aloud but it did help when felt stressed, or bored.

Alec raised an eyebrow. Had he hit this guy one time too many? The Timelord he didn't recognize was telling him to kill him, and he wanted to. Oh, he wanted to...
But what to kill him with? "If anyone gets to take his life, it should be Marie." he stood up, "helping" the hefty Timelord up as well. He turned him so he was facing the Phantom.
"Your choice, I'm pretty sure a laser screwdriver could get that job done, we both know it can." he laughed at his own inside joke before remembering this wasn't her third incarnation.

"Take my life!?" The Mentalist spluttered out. That was an unexpected turn of events! He hadn't wanted this to happen. Being helped up by a guy, he bit his knuckle, clenching his teeth there. He heard that the girl of the group had a right to kill him... He furrowed up his eyebrows, looking concerned. His tone was apologetic. "Look, chaps, I just wanted to know if anyone had seen that poor girl. I didn't want death threats! I'm so sorry, but I can't allow you to harm this body. It's in a bad enough state as it is." He paused. "So, uh, no killing me today ladies and gents." He laughed nervously, tugging at a clump of his red-hair and going back to biting on and holding his knuckle.

"I'm not going to kill you. Even if your alternate personalities scare me." Maria explained before giving Alec a confused look. "What gives me the right to kill him? Or anyone for that matter? It doesn't matter if they've wronged me or not, I still wouldn't have that right."
Then she turned to Kos a bit annoyed by this point. "What are you up to, Kos? What's your plan?"

"Look, chaps, I just wanted to know if anyone had seen that poor girl. I didn't want death threats! I'm so sorry, but I can't allow you to harm this body. It's in a bad enough state as it is."The Master lifted an eyebrow at the almost fussy phrasing. He'd known that the Mentalist had... issues, let us say... but he hadn't been aware of the depth of the man's madness. Of course, it had been long centuries since they'd spent any real social time together... "So, uh, no killing me today ladies and gents." the Mentalist laughed nervously. "I'm not going to kill you. Even if your alternate personalities scare me." Maria explained before giving Alec a confused look. "What gives me the right to kill him? Or anyone for that matter? It doesn't matter if they've wronged me or not, I still wouldn't have that right.""Of course you would," the Master countered. "What gives you that right? Why, the simple fact that you can do it." Then he shrugged. "But do as you like." Then she turned to Kos a bit annoyed by this point. "What are you up to, Kos? What's your plan?""My plan?" he fused a length of copper wire into the control panel with his screwdriver. "My plan is to get this ship up and running, and use it to get somewhere civilized enough to have a real time ship, and use that to recover my TARDIS." He paused, considering. "But, I perceive you have a TARDIS of your own..." he held up a placating hand. "No, no, don't worry. I don't want yours. I want mine. But if you would be willing to transport me..? Either one of you?" He looked at the Mentalist, still bleeding from the face. "I suppose we should consider taking him along as well. I did agree to work with him, and I am loathe to break my word without good reason." A sigh. "Which means, I suppose, that we must locate the Psychologist. That way, she can keep him under control." He looked at the Phantom. "So there you are: my new plan. Find the Psychologist while the Mentalist is still tractable. Bring them both with us so we can use him as a weapon of last resort. Then you help me find my TARDIS - or, failing that, I get this antiquated piece of junk up and running and find it myself. And then, we celebrate by treating ourselves to something nice. Universal domination, perhaps?" He smiled, and there was danger and madness in that smile. "Perhaps you would like the Sculptor Wall? And our new arrival, the young man so skilled with his fists, perhaps he would appreciate the Coma Wall?" Then he laughed. "But I get ahead of myself. First, the Psychologist!"

"I would have no trouble transporting anyone. Just don't kill the guy on my ship." Maria answered truthfully as she pocketed her Screwdriver.

Post by The Mentalist on Dec 27, 2011 11:02:23 GMT -5
The Mentalist shuffled around, kicking the ground from time to time as the conversation went on. He occasionally rubbed the blood off his face, spat on his hand and slicked his hair back, as best as he could. He'd fixed the parting but now it had to be the right style. He needed to change out of this stupid shirt as well. It was horrible- it wasn't him. And it would bug him until he changed... He was very meticulous about all the details. He didn't like be mistaken for someone else. His attention was taken as the mention of his name.
The Master stated, "I suppose we should consider taking him along as well. I did agree to work with him, and I am loathe to break my word without good reason." An annoyed sigh came from him. "Which means, I suppose, that we must locate the Psychologist. That way, she can keep him under control."
The Mentalist threw The Master a glare. It was as if he was some animal- which, was true in his other states, but not right now. It did annoy him that he was generalized in such a way. He muttered. "Yes, well, maybe you seem to forget that I do have some self control. But no, you wouldn't think that, why would you? It is always, all about my brutish other half." He clenched his hands tight together. He would not get angry. It was not the right thing to do. They didn't know any better. The Psychologist would know. This side didn't love her- but she was a good friend.
The Master looked at the Phantom. "So there you are: my new plan. Find the Psychologist while the Mentalist is still tractable. Bring them both with us so we can use him as a weapon of last resort." The Mentalist exhaled quickly. No hitting, he said to himself. No punching. "Then you help me find my TARDIS - or, failing that, I get this antiquated piece of junk up and running and find it myself. And then, we celebrate by treating ourselves to something nice. Universal domination, perhaps?" Then he laughed. "But I get ahead of myself. First, the Psychologist!"
The Mentalist stood firm. A weapon? How rude. How unbelievably sly. He narrowed his eyes at The Master, muttering a few curses. He would not trust this fool. Out of the two of them, he was sure that he had the upper hand. In a game of wits with this side of him, The Master would surely loose. Universal domination was also another interesting point. It seemed the whole group here were simply pawns in a grander plan. They would be disposed of when appropriate.
He stood forward. "Yes. Indeed. To find the dear lady, before my headache becomes even worse." He frowned, addressing The Master. "Though, I do not suppose that you sir, are making it any better. The others are easy to explain- but your motives are quite the mystery." Now he turned away. "Any particular reason why you would wish to take over this basic universe? I can think of many others that are actually worth the time." With wave of his hands, he snapped out a pair of black horn rimmed glasses and threw them on his face. Melodrama was written all over him. "This place is unclear to even my deranged mind." And so was stupidity.
