"Tell me... where have you been the past 300 years? Do... you really think that the High Council... is still out there, considering that I'm roaming about? You think that the council would... let all of this happen?" The Phantom opened her mouth to answer, but he cut her off. "NO! OF COURSE THEY WOULDN'T! THEY'RE DEAD!" His outburst caused her to jump back a bit and both her hearts to pound furiously against her ribs. She started to sidestep her way closer to Kos, thinking that she'd be slightly, only slightly, safer by him. Keeping her eyes on him just in case he might suddenly lunge at her. The Phantom knew she needed to get far away from the Mentalist, and she needed to do it as fast as possible. She knew that the chances of her getting away without having to regenerate was close to none, and she doubted she could outrun either of them. Also considering their intelegence she didn't think it'd be possible to outsmart them either. "Sorry Kos. Drinks later. Going to sleep for now. Let me know what he did when I come back around." The hair on the back of her neck stood on end as she kepted her eyes on him, something wasn't right. She had to get away from here, and she needed to hide. The Phantom wanted to disappear like all those times before, she wanted to run. She began to look for the best way to run, always returning her gaze back to the Mentalist just to keep an eye on him.

The Mentalist's gaze went to the floor. He'd noticed The Phantom shift around uneasily, as if she knew something was up. She was starting to back away, staring to really analyze her chances of survival. After he was let out, it became close to none. He was quick, brutish, cannibalistic and he did not often think, just lunged. No intelligent conversation. If something was there- kill it. He did not think like the core did, not like the personality who'd been talking a minute ago did.
This new man did not understand the complexities of emotions. He could not read his own well. He didn't understand happiness, he didn't understand sadness, he didn't understand love. To him, love meant everything it shouldn't have. Love meant following her home every single night. Love meant crawling in her window. Love meant bleeding himself into a vial and leaving it for her. Love meant slitting his palms open and writing on her walls. Love was simple; kill everything but her.
The Mentalist hovered on the spot for a second and closed his eyes. That drowsy feeling came over him. It was almost like he was going for a snooze. His eyes rolled back into his skull. He was changing, switching over. He swayed just the once on his feet and the change was done. It did not hurt, it was very quick and painless.
The new man's head slowly rose up to meet The Phantom's eyes. The deep blue had a different gleam to it this time. These new eyes did not gleam of wit and intellect any longer, no, they gleamed of simplicity. A dangerous simplicity. A snake's simplicity. You move and I will strike. He gave a quick flash of his teeth, to try and scare her. For the second he bore them, they were slightly more menacing than before, slightly sharper. More bitey. He snickered quietly at her, before speaking broken High Gallifreyan. "Move. See what happens." He stared straight into her eyes, daring her to try it.

"Move. See what happens."
The Mentalist's speech patterns and mannerisms had changed, dramatically. Even with his general contempt for, well, everything, the Master could feel his spine stiffen in alarm. Normally, the Mentalist was at least somewhat amenable to reason.
He didn't think that this newly-revealed aspect of the man's personality would follow that trend.
"Ah, Phantom?" he said with a note of concern - more for himself than for her. "I would advise against taking him up on his offer.
He dropped back down inside the cockpit, considering his options. Clearly, the man had become a beast - well, more of a beast than ordinary. Most of his ordinary gambits would be ineffectual, here. He'd been operating in a reactive mode, which was not his ideal environment. Something had to be done, but... ah.
A slow smile crept over his face. It would be dangerous, certainly, but this entire situation was dangerous. Cautiously, he peered back over the rim of the cockpit. Nobody's dead, yet. Surely that is a good sign?
"My dear Mentalist," he asked cheerfully, "I was wondering: have you seen the Psychologist recently?"

"Move. See what happens."
The Phantom froze upon hearing the Mentalist's words. His tone was different then it was before, more menacing, more deadly.
"Ah, Phantom?" Kos began, a hint of concern in his voice. "I would advise against taking him up on that offer."
She would have nodded if she didn't believe that might trigger the Mentalist to strike. The Phantom may not have trusted either of them, but at that moment, she would probally trust Kos a lot more than she would trust the Mentalist.
She really wished her Tardis was parked somewhere closer than where it was. However, even if it were closer, there was still the problem of actually making it into her Tardis before she got attacked.
The Phantom's thoughts quieted when she heard Kos speak again.
"My dear Mentalist," He asked, his tone cheerful, as if he had a plan of sorts. "I was wondering: have you seen the Psycologist recently?"

Everyone was thrown off at the new man's presence. The body and mind of a brute were a combination. The girl froze solid with fear and he could sense the man behind him tense up. Admittedly, the man behind him had more courage than the girl. He didn't even know either of their names- it didn't matter that much.
The man spoke to the woman, "Ah, Phantom?" He started, a tiny bit of concern in his voice. "I would advise against taking him up on that offer." He smirked. The man had the right idea. This girl, Phantom, wasn't to move. If she did, she'd suffer. He quite liked seeing her frozen with fear, it was satisfying...
Not long after, the man popped out from behind and asked, "My dear Mentalist," He asked, his tone cheerful, as if he had a plan of sorts. "I was wondering: have you seen the Psychologist recently?"
At the mention of his own name he took little notice but at the mention of her name, he spun right round. How did this man know of her?! He had even hinted at some relation between the two.
He was angered by the mere mention of her name. Her name was heavenly, such heathens did not deserve to speak it. He would answer and he would not be happy. "...No. If you know, let me know." The new man scowled heavily at Kos. This side of him didn't want to speak about her. She was long gone, their hearts long lost with her. And that was the last of it.
At least, it never crossed his mind that she could be alive. It never occurred to him to look behind him, at a human form running toward him. It never occurred to him that the woman who'd called one of the worker's on the ground would arrive so soon. It was a greater shame for him not to realize that she really wasn't far away...

"...No. If you know, let me know," the Mentalist growled, scowling at him.
The Master considered his next words as rapidly as he could, cursing the feeble lump of colloids that served as a brake on his thoughts. "I haven't seen her," he began, cautiously. "But I believe I will be able to help you find her."
How? Rod and Eye, how? Ah...
"All the Spiral Politic knows that the two of you are inseparable, yes? The Mentalist and the..." his voice caught, just a little, at a warning growl, "and the Mentalist's heart and soul. So if you are here, it only stands to reason that she will be here as well."
Unless she's dead, dead in the carnage wrought by the Doctor. But that hardly matters at the moment.
He smiled his most winning smile. "And so, it is a simple matter of finding where you have been. She will be waiting for you there, at the end of the search."
Here we go. If this fails, I'm closing the cockpit and hoping someone shoots him while he's eating the Phantom's liver...
"But, in order for me... for us..." he said, rapidly deciding that the Phantom would make good bait if something went wrong, "to help you, we will have to be able to move. Without suddenly finding ourselves bereft of limb and life."

"Us?" She aked quietly to Kos, curiously and shocked that he was volentering her as well to help the crazed man who wanted to kill her. Well it couldn't hurt to try and help. "Right.."
The Phantom was fairly certain that Kos was only trying to keep himself alive, but if that's what it took to make sure she stayed breathing. Then who was she to complain, and on top of that she was starting to feel the fear that was growing, slowly subside as the time passed. She just hoped that they wouldn't ask her if she had a better means of transport than the ship Kos was trying to work.

The Mentalist grimaced. The mention of her had made him rather upset. He adored her, so, a longing started back up inside of him. His hearts beat in time to the rhythm of a song he'd not listened to in a while. His eyes went to the Master as he spoke, "I haven't seen her," he began, cautiously. "But I believe I will be able to help you find her." The Master immediately had his attention. There was a chance that she could be found? That he could soon hear her dulcet tones floating gracefully into his ears again? That her beautiful face hadn't disappeared forever and that he could set eyes on her again?
"All the Spiral Politic knows that the two of you are inseparable, yes? The Mentalist and the... and the Mentalist's heart and soul. So if you are here, it only stands to reason that she will be here as well." The Mentalist's heart skipped a few beats. Everyone knew? After the initial shock, he thought about it more carefully. It made sense. Rassilon had a big mouth and he knew. Oh he'd known all about those two; turned his love into a bargaining chip. The Mentalist would never forgive him for that and now, he wouldn't forgive him for talking about them to his 'friends'. The Master was quite right however, The Psychologist was The Mentalist's voice of reason. She was calm, collected and intelligent. She understood all the complex emotions that he couldn't deal with and help him try to understand. She'd helped him so much. If she was on this planet, he had to drop everything and run straight to her.
The Master convinced him more, with words that reminded him of a simple dog. Following it's master everywhere it went, craving attention and love. The prospect of her being alive made him act quickly. "She will be waiting for you there, at the end of the search." If she really was, he'd be the happiest man in the universe. Whatever happy was. He wasn't really sure.
He listened to the Master subtly complain about a broken ship, that they'd take to find her. He muttered. "Take me to her, I'll help...fix." He searched his mind for any kind of updated mechanics, or anything he could use to help him fix the ship. Everything was game now.

The Master heard the note of shock in the Phantom's voice rapidly turn to agreement. Good girl, he thought, Maybe you'll make it out of this in one piece yet.
And then he heard something absolutely unexpected.
"Take me to her, I'll help...fix."
"What?" he exclaimed in surprise, then forced himself to be calm. He smiled. "Yes, of course. Excellent." He rubbed his hands, thinking. "I could really still use a meter or so of neutronic fiber. But I doubt this planet will have it handy. Let's start with three meters of heavy gauge electrical cabling. The power lines would be ideal."
It would do, anyway. Either that, or the Mentalist would electrify himself into charcoal. Either way, he'd be one step closer to solving one of his problems.

"I could help with the power lines. Well.. more like shoot them down." The Phantom nearly slapped herself for completely forgetting about her Laser Screwdriver. She pulled it out of her jacket pocket, it was a dark blue with sliver on the outlines. She was glad she use isomorphic controls on it, just in case, though she probally wouldn't kill these two.
However she was a bit ticked with the way Kos had just so convienitly vollenteered her. "Do you guys want me to get them down, or would you rather do that yourself?"
She still hadn't moved from her spot, mainly because she wasn't certian if she should risk it. Hopefully she'd find out in quickly enough.

The Mentalist stayed put, watching The Master let out his surprise and The Phantom become even more nervous. He wasn't sure why The Master had been surprised.
He'd seemed to know the background, so, The Mentalist couldn't understand why The Master found the sudden willingness unusual. He must not have met her before. If he had, The Master would have known why. Truly, The Mentalist believed her to be the kindest and most patient person he'd ever met. She was so beautiful, bright and cheery; it was infectious! It was difficult not to be happy around her, she lightened everything up. That was only part of the reasons why he'd drop everything for her, he could have spoken for hours about the reasons he desired her.
The Phantom broke him from his thoughts. "Do you guys want me to get them down, or would you rather do that yourself?" The Mentalist folded his arms and turned away, moodily. Tapping his foot impatiently, he grimaced. "Whatever is quicker."
~*~ A few blocks away...
A woman, dressed in black and purple, clacked her way down the grey sidewalk. Her black trousers flapped in the wind, floaty purple top following suit. High heeled, black boots with a single silver buckle at the side rang out on the street. Her heavy breath escaping from nude, glossy lips, echoed off of the walls as she raced on.
As she took a corner, she put a lock of wispy brown hair behind her ear and rubbed her blue eyes. She panted heavily, speaking aloud to herself. "Why, oh why, did we change the security? The old one worked fine! We had very few problems with the last system. Barely anyone could just walk out. And now look!" She let out an irritated huff. Her tone turned angry and condemning. "One of our most dangerous patients is wandering the streets! Very effective security, well done team." Charging on, she passed a narrow alleyway. Taking a quick glance down it, she saw two figures. She found it odd and ran a little faster. Her little rant had probably been heard by those two. Dr. Ranert was right, she was starting to go loopy herself.
A quiet male voice drifted out from the alley way. She caught a word of it, found it menacing and stopped. She turned back to face the right direction to hear it and listened. It spoke again. "...you must be Dr. Fenwick..." A chirpier, but serious toned, voice came from the same place. "Dr. Fenwick, you're going to have to come with us. We have news on your patient." she immediately took notice. "Nathaniel!? Have you seen him, I've been looking everywhere-" The female voice replied. "No need to go looking. He'll find you." The quieter, male voice eased out. "come with us.... it'll make life easier....for both of you..."
Then suddenly, she felt a strange sensation come over her. She lost complete consciousness and control of her own mind. She was almost pushed back, and a new consciousness, took control. she could swear that she felt like a puppet, being led over to the two suspicious figures. Once she came to them, they whisked her away, deep into the darkness of the city and beyond.

A red phone booth jumped out of the sky, to it's rider's dismay, and slammed into power lines with more force than a phone booth- a real phone booth -would ever have. It was such a heavy phone booth, that the power lines actually plummeted as the poles keeping them up cracked and fell.
The person inside was mostly protected by the insulated interior, which for a strange reason wasn't visible no matter how you looked at it. As the power lines fell, the phone booth fell to the ground near three people, laying on it's side and smoking. It was a wonder that the booth was intact.
Meanwhile, inside the "Phone Booth"
Alec had a headache. And he was flat against the ceiling. He had a headache and he was on the ceiling. "Tardis console room anti-grav, off please." he called out.
In a few seconds he was tumbling to the ground at a high speed. He supposed he should've expected this. "Gently!" he ordered, and his fall slowed to a float until his feet hit the ground.
Back outside,
The doors of the phone booth flew open and the tipe of a ladder was visible. In a few seconds, so was a man, a man with gold eyes full of sadness betraying the manic grin on his face.
Alec pointed at Maria. "Do I know you? You seem oddly familiar."

The Master continued his triage of the Piroticean timeship, while the Phantom set about acquiring copper cable and the Mentalist glared.
"Overall," he decided, "it's not too bad. I guess that's the nice thing about primitive technology. It takes far more abuse." He nodded to himself. "The cable should... just... about..."
There was a loud whistling sound, and a red telephone booth crashed through the power lines and into the ground.
"Do it," he finished, automatically. "Loom of Rassilon, did someone paint a sign over Skegness: 'visitors welcome, do drop in, the Master just wants to get out of here, nothing important'."
Kvetching, he looked over the side of the cockpit. The phone booth was on its side, doors open, a ladder poking out. A head climbed into view, a head that produced a hand and pointed at the Phantom. "Do I know you? You seem oddly familiar."
The Master gently banged his head against the rim of the cockpit. "Unbelievable," he said. "Simply unbelievable. When I commit genocide, the genocide takes."
Then he grinned.
"Mentalist?" he called. "I believe this man may be the one that abducted... her. Would you mind taking him prisoner, so we can verify that?"

Scowling away to himself, The Mentalist hung about like an unwanted shadow. He tapped his foot impatiently, huffing and puffing whenever he felt the need. The grumpy time-lord wasn't being much of a help.
It was just then that a red phone box hurtled through the sky and plummeted to the earth. He raised an eyebrow and turned to face it, just as it contacted with the ground. The eyebrow didn't lower as someone got out of the box. He heard the man speak to The Phantom, asking if he knew her. Rolling his eyes, he sighed. Really? Another one? Three in the same place and one awaiting was enough of a crowd for him.
He took little notice of The Master's ramblings, only really interested in snippets. Though, he did have to laugh at one line he came out with. "Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. When I commit genocide, the genocide takes." Letting out a mean burst of quiet laughter, The Mentalist took extreme notice of what The Master said next. "Mentalist?" he called. "I believe this man may be the one that abducted... her. Would you mind taking him prisoner, so we can verify that?"
He didn't react well. Not well at all but he did react exactly as expected. Instead of approaching in a calm manner, The Mentalist practically ran over. Before anyone could mutter a word, he'd already hauled the man out of the smoking phone box and was dragging him by the front of his shirt. The red-head had already started cursing him under his breath, muttering obscenities and warnings to them. Whoever this was, if they really had touched her, they'd be as good as dead.
Bringing the new arrival to The Master, he tossed him on the ground. "There. Apprehended. He won't dare move." He wasn't sure whether or not this man had been near the Psychologist, but, he didn't really mind. It was always nice to have a spare- punching bag, that was.

"Mentalist?" said one, "I believe this man may be the one that abducted... her. Would you mind taking him prisoner, so we can verify that?"
The husky one hurried over, pulling him out of his Tardis. "Easy partner- woah!" he gruffly fell to the ground.
"There. Apprehended. He won't dare move." the same, largely built one said, as Alec stood muttering how he dared.
"Here, if it makes you feel better," he fished through his jacket, producing a pair of handcuffs and keys. He proceeded to cuff himself, tossing the keys to the one who had spoken first.
"Now, I'm not sure who I am supposed to have 'abducted,' but I haven't met anyone named 'Her' as of late." he frowned.
He remembered who the blond was- Maria. But the last time he'd met her he had been in a bit of a mood and entirely different incarnation. It had been a serious mood, and he had done some...questionably moral things, so if she didn't recognize him there was no reason to make her think he was anyone she knew.
"Mind telling me what I did?" he inquired.
