Melissa stared at the watch. "You mean this thing is from your planet? And it originally belonged to a Time Lord? So...that means that someone found it and sold it at the antique store that my parents found it in."

He took hold of her hands and look her straight in the eyes. "I just want to make a quick call and then I promise we'll take that trip into the future." He smiled.

Melissa smiled, wondering what it could be that would make it so urgent for him to call her parents.
"Maybe this watch conversation is a cover up for something else...maybe he just wanted an excuse to call them," she thought to herself.
He had taken hold of her hands, and she felt them. "Of course. I'd be nice to talk to them again. You can call them if you want to."
She looked straight into his eyes in return. He always made her smile.

"Hmmm ok. I'll be over. See ya bye." The Doctor agreed and hung up.
He then looked at Melissa who looked a little upset. "I'm sorry but this is something really important to me and I promise as soon as it's done and over we'll go somewhere ultra special!" He told her and gave her a reassuring hug.
They set off back to her parents house.
