"Yes, but I'm sure you can tell me more some other time." He grinned.
"Oooh graduation gift." He said interested.
"I'm ready too." He told her and they both went to the door. They both waved at the family until they got to a distance. Melissa had been crying, no one had really done that before and it was nice to see such a strong bond.
He held her hand for a little comfort.
"It's ok, you'll get used to it. We'll come back too." He tried to reassure her, he wasn't sure whether it was working.

Michelle smiled at Josh when The Doctor showed interest in the graduation gift.
She waved for a while, although she was upset to see her daughter go she was also happy for her. She knew that Melissa would enjoy herself and it seemed like this was what she'd always wanted to do too.

Melissa felt the Doctor take her hand. No one had ever really done that before, at least not a guy. Her hand felt so comfortable in his.
She looked up at him, "Thank you. It's amazing that my parents have taken the whole thing so well -- remember when we were worried about letting them know that you weren't human? Well, it looks like we had nothing to worry about."
Melissa stopped crying. She really did feel better -- she was with him, and that's what she really wanted.

Josh's eyes had gotten slightly wide when Samantha mentioned the graduation gift, but he didn't want to make it obvious that there was something special about it. He too was glad that the Doctor had taken interest in it.

"Aww the good old days." He said making her smile instantly.
They got to the TARDIS and The Doctor took out a key. He unlocked the door and ushered her to go in.
"So you sure about this? You ready? Because I'm going to lie, this is dangerous. It won't be easy but it'll be exciting. A bit of a thrill ride really. But I just want you to know that I can't make any promises, I can try to keep you safe the best I can. Are you sure about this?" He asked her.
He wanted to travel with her so much but he didn't want to lose her. He wanted to know whether was ready or not.
He looked a bit sad that she hadn't answered yet. It was as if she was considering it.

Melissa looked into his eyes and responded, "Yes, I'm sure. I know that you can't promise anything, and I understand that it could be dangerous. However, I could be in danger anywhere that I went -- if I stayed here, who is to say that some person wouldn't hurt me? I want to travel with you."
She wanted to reassure him that this is what she wanted.
"I like you and I want to be with you."

He looked up and smiled at her response.
"True, true." He ran around the controls and pressed a few buttons.
As soon as he heard her say, "I like you and I want to be with you", he walked up to her looked her in the eyes with a very serious expression. "Where do you want to go first?" He asked bouncing around and ruining the mood.
He flicked a few switches and pushed more buttons, he seemed to know what he was doing.

Melissa, who had watched the whole bouncing around with the controls, lifted her eyes up to his face once again.
"I really don't know," she answered, matching his serious tone. "I've never been anywhere besides Earth. I don't even know what's out there. Why don't you surprise me."

It was very bumpy.
He extended a hand towards her as they were both held on to the machine.
"Welcome." He said.

The TARDIS stopped smoothly and The Doctor flicked a few switches shut. Melissa was just staring at him. He walked over to the door and opened it.
"After you." He ushered grinning.

Melissa walked over to the door, not sure what to expect when she stepped out.
Although she was excited for what she might see, she was also nervous.
She walked out of the Tardis and looked around at the new surroundings, completely amazed.

Big grass hills and snow caped mountains stretched as far as the eye could see. A small village occupied the space between the hills and mountains. Small cottages and houses lived in the village and people lived in the houses and the village walked about. It was a peaceful sight, especially for The Doctor who had seen chaos as soon as he stepped out those doors.
"So what do you think?" He asked her.
The people looked human enough apart from the fact...they were a light shade of blue. They also had interesting hair styles, most of them very big. Melissa's mouth was agape. The Doctor was quite use to it though, it was quiet and nice.

"Where are we?" she asked as she continued to take in the beauty of their surroundings.
She turned to him and smiled, "It's so beautiful -- this place must have a name."
Melissa was looking at the grass and the mountains. She took note of the people there -- she knew that there had to be aliens that didn't look so human. She was glad that the Doctor's kind appeared to be human, though.

"It's a small planet called Morph." He told her looking at the surroundings.
"There was this TV show called Smart that was a children's art show. Anyway they had these little stories about this small, brown, clay figure called Morph...he was adorable." He smiled remembering that.
"It's not like they named the figure after this planet...in fact not many beings in this Universe even know of it." He said.
"I took you here first because it quiet and nice. I kinda...thought...you'd...like it...b-because of that." He told her suddenly getting very shy.

"Oh! I do like it --- but I'm sorry that we won't be able to talk to them. They probably speak their own language, and I don't know any alien languages," she explained.
"I'd like to look at the village....I just hope they don't think it's too weird that there are two outsiders here."
She looked into his eyes, then looked at him. "Hmmm....I never heard of the Smart show that you are talking about. Maybe we didn't get it in the US. It sounds really cute, though."
She looked at him again, wanting to make sure that he knew that she appreciated his thoughtfulness.
"I really do like it here, and I'm glad that you choose this. Quiet and nice places are good places to rest and relax."

"Well that would be upsetting if we couldn't understand them. I should probably have told you that the TARDIS translates all languages in the universe for us, it kinda gets in your head." He grinned.
"It doesn't really matter if we look like outsiders." He said as he took a wallet out of his pocket. "I have this." He told her opening it up, there appeared to be a piece of paper that said, 'this is psychic paper so I can make whoever reads it see what I want them to see'.
"It was...is?...is a nice little show. Kinda like Art Attack...dunno if you've ever heard of that." He said.
"I like quiet places too, so that's gooooooood." He informed her emphasising the 'good'.
