"I don't think there is an Amy and Zara here," the Doctor said slowly. "Whatever this is I don't like very much. How on earth did the Daleks learn of the Toymaker? And to imitate his powers yet? This is wrong, all wrong." H e walked around the disabled Dalek curiously. "Strange, they copied the Toymaker to almost a T but seemed to cut corners with this Dalek here. Budget woes, I presume. No,we are being led about by the nose and as I've said before, I am no sheep!"
He looked over to the side where he spied a form there standing. "Hello? Who's there? Mind coming out where we can see you?"
(Will he recognize his father?)

Tylerhathan stepped out of the shadows and moved into the light, into view. He eyed both the Doctor and James. "Hello," he greeted them, hesitant about their reactions.
He held up a sonic device and explained. "Well, it seems that that wasn't really one of those Dalek creatures after all...just a robot, or almost like a toy Dalek...if there were such a thing. I shudder at the thought of someone playing with a toy Dalek.....not recommended for children."

"Who is this Doctor?",asked James cautiously.
"He came with the Dalek,but he doesn't seem hostile,does he?Who are you,mate?",he continued.
"And another question,if it wasn't Zara who possessed me,then who was it?You know what,I think we should go to that planet anyway.Anyway,what do we have to lose?Except for our lives,of course."

"I....I don't....believ it..." the Doctor breathed as he saw the figure come fully into the light. "Father? Is that really you? What are...what are you doing here??"
Whatever danger they faced had suddenly taken a back seat as he hurried forward to greet his parent.

Tylerhathan nodded at the Doctor. "Yes, it is me....I.....I came across this ship and decided to check it out, and I noticed that your TARDIS was here....so, thought I'd see if you needed any help. As it turned out, I missed you, but then this Dalek Toy thing disguised as some sort of Toymaker, I guess, trapped me and...I guess caused your TARDIS to return here..."
Tyler grinned at his son. "Oh, and you've brought one of your friends here, I see. Well, then...come on...what is his name?"

"Oh! Oh, come over James. I want you to meet a...a very important person!" He motioned for him to come over. "This is James, a young man who was eager to travel with me. At least most likely until we came onto this ship here! James, i'd like you to meet Tylerhathan. My father!"

"What?Your bloody father?Oh,I'm so delighted to meet you,sir!You must be really proud of your son.I have only travelled with him for less than a day and he has offered me the greatest adrenalin rushes I've ever had.He's utterly brilliant!But,now we should return to our mission.We were assigned with the task to locate the Key to Time and snatch it from the Daleks.Will you join us,Tylerhathan?You would certainly be a lot of help."

"Wait wait wait, let's not go running off to put pur heads in a noose. Like I said, we're being steered and I want to get a clearer picture first. You hear me?" This he shouted out into the darkness. "The Key to Time isn't something we Time Lords take lightly and certainly aren't going to just run off and fetch when someone with a bit of hocus pocus wants it! It's not like a plunger we lend out, after all! I want to see who I'm dealing with, face to face!"

Tylerhathan smiled at James. "It's a pleasure to meet you, James. As he says, I am his father." He smiled at James' enthusiasm. "Well, I am proud of him....but not everyone on Gallifrey is....but that is another story. I would be glad to join the both of you....if my son is able to tolerate me on one of his adventures...."
He glanced at Eight.
A confused expression washed over Tylerhathan's face. "Wait, I thought that you told me that the Key of Time was destroyed....but then, maybe I was wrong......I never am kept up to date on these sorts of things...."
"If it still exists, then no, we certainly should not just go running off and try to get it....but if it is a trick....then what sort of trap might be behind it? And who might be leading us into it?"

(Whomever pops out of our minds as we go along, I guess;) )
"Yes, it was destroyed, twice over in fact, but its components seem to still be in existence. Probably the only way the thing could be completed obliviated is if we were to throw it in a supernove. Or perhaps in the depths of Mount Doom?" Seeing how his reference to the Lord of the Rings was lost on his father he continued "Nothing seems to be totally lost even in the cosmos. Someone somewhere always seems to keep tabs on things such as that."
He gave a slight frown. "Which is a bit odd, come to think of it. This is getting to be more than a mere coincidence."

Tylerhathan frowned at the Mount Doom reference. "Mount Doom? I don't think I know the place....now.....did I hear that you were wanting to investigate something on another planet? WE may want to investigate this ship further....search for clues. Whomever is behind this might have left us a trail of some sort. It does sound like more than mere coincidence....it sounds like someone who is intimately familiar with your life....."
He looked his son over carefully.

"Could it be a Dalek leader or something behing this whole story?Alright,let's look at the facts.According to the Guardians,we are facing the Daleks,who have stolen the Key to Time.And we are supposed to stop them.Right?What is our next action?Do we go to this Norma planet,even though it may be a trap?Do we search for the Daleks,confront them face to face?Do we sit here,wait for a miracle?What do we do?"

Tylerhathan frowned. "But that was a toy Dalek that I disabled....why would a Dalek leader create a toy Dalek? Also, it is possible that the Key of Time hasn't been found, and that the whole command to go there is a ploy by some unknown enemy to trap the Doctor, trying to get him to walk into their trap. And the Guardians....how do we know that they were telling the truth? Were they really t he Guardians? I'll leave the final decision up to my son. They could be telling the truth....but.....but I really don't know."
He glanced at the Doctor. "What do you think?"
