Noting that Donna seemed to be recovering, he asked her, "You all right?"
"I...uh..." Donna blinked, confused. "What..." She trailed off, but the Doctor seemed to take the cue and know that she meant "what happened."
"I'm not exactly sure why they did that to us....why they felt that it was necessary....and I'm sorry...."I suppose that we just wait for Kradston now."
"W-what did they...do?" Donna asked slowly. The answer came to Donna after she asked. "They knocked us out..." She bit down gently on her tongue, a habit she had when she wasn't going to say what she was thinking, and shook her head.
He walked over to Donna, concern showing on his face.
She waved him off, though she knew that might not stop him. "I'm fine." she told him, her throat a bit hoarse. She cleared it and repeated herself. "I'm fine."

"Yeah, they knocked us out...or well, they tried to. I....I didn't quite go unconscious--but I just can't figure out why they did that. But good....you're all right...." the Doctor glanced in Donna's direction.
If there was one thing that the Doctor disliked, it was waiting. "Of course this place looks more like a prison cell than a....well...room. But this is a war...so....this is probably all they have."
He looked again at the bed and other sparse furnishings in the room.

"Yeah, they knocked us out...or well, they tried to. I....I didn't quite go unconscious--but I just can't figure out why they did that. But good....you're all right...." the Doctor glanced in Donna's direction.
Donna stood up, having gotten her bearings back, and exhaled an annoyed breath. Shaking her head, she look around the room, displeased that they had to stay in, well...
"Of course this place looks more like a prison cell than a....well...room. But this is a war...so....this is probably all they have."
...that, exactly what the Doctor had said, when they were here to help.
"I don't understand," Donna said, in the same boat as the Doctor. "If it was all about the secrecy of where they were taking us, then why couldn't they have just put blindfolds on us? Knocking us out is pretty extreme."
Donna kept looking around the room. "...Do you think there's a camera in this one, the way there was in the last one?"

Ten shrugged, "Possibly....I really don't know. If there is a camera, disabling it wouldn't really help us right now -- unless...unless it drew Kradston and the men to us -- but then if there is a camera, someone is probably watching us anyway."
"I just don't see a point to their trying to knock us out -- unless...unless they thought we might be spies, and the entrance was secret. I....I didn't hear any button being pressed or any thing like that as we were brought inside. Which causes me to wonder....what all might be going on in this war? I really don't think they told us all that they know....but why would they...if they are still suspicious of us?"
He glanced around the room again, "And the lighting isn't really good for reading, not even for me..."

Donna's eyes swept across the room once more as the Doctor spoke.
She huffed out a good-natured laugh as he mentioned reading. "Only you would think of reading right now, alien boy."
Donna felt less on edge and safer than she had in the room on the "enemy's" side. The Doctor being in the same room as her, keeping a level head, probably had something to do with it. Looking up, Donna climbed up onto the top bunk of one of the beds. Bouncing a bit on the green sheet covered mattress as she came to sit, she looked down at the Doctor.
"Never a dull day with you, space man," she poked fun at him, letting herself not worry about what she didn't know.

Ten grinned at Donna's comments, although he tried to hide it.
"Well, what else is there to do besides reading? A good book.....but well, I suppose you could sleep.....still...I don't do much of that anyway...."
He peered up at her, and then glanced at the desk. "Still...I could write...but there really isn't a lamp in here....so....well...I don't know..." He ran his fingers through his hair. "Maybe if I ask, they'll bring us one? I wonder if there might be some way to get their attention...I mean...they might not know we're awake yet...."
He searched around for a bell or a phone or any sort of communication device on the wall. "You see anything...oh...wait..." his eyes traveled to a box on the wall.
Going over to it, he grinned. "Maybe...this might...if it works....that is...." He pushed a button, not knowing for sure what would happen.

Donna glanced around the room and waited for something to happen. After about 5 seconds, a crackly voice spoke, emanating from around the room. "Yes?"
Donna didn't know what to say, not a common occurrence. She looked at the Doctor and motioned with her head towards the button, hoping he knew what to say.
