"Well," said the Doctor thoughtfully, "I really don't know if there is any planet that is experiencing true peace......but planets can get close to it. There is always going to be a fight, however small, between beings. There is always a selfish person....in fact....we're all a bit selfish....."
The Doctor hadn't noticed that the one who had talked to them had already left. He had heard the man's words, but hadn't thought he'd left yet. When he looked around, he noticed that the man was gone. "Oh...right.....so then, I guess we'll be landing soon."
He caught Donna's grin. When Donna asked him about the planet, he commented, "Well, yes.....I.....I got the time wrong...but I couldn't tell him that. He would want to know about the future of his planet, and timelines and all......I.....I didn't want to be put in that position."

Donna nodded. "Right, that wouldn't have been good," Donna said, putting it lightly.

Caletri came up behind Yulef as the cockpit door closed behind them. "We're getting close, yeah?"
Yulef nodded. "About time for you to take co-pilot."
Caletri nodded and sat down in the chair beside him. "Masks," he said as he grabbed an oxygen mask and Yulef did the same.

Donna looked out the window of the small craft and saw the beginnings of land.

The Doctor immediately detected a change in oxygen level, although it made no impact on his breathing. He glanced at Donna, "Is it just me or has the oxygen quality gone done in here?" He looked at her worriedly. Humans did not have the lung reserves that Time Lords had. He was able to breathe on a short level of oxygen, although he did definitely need oxygen. He couldn't remain in that state for long.

Caletri then pushed a button on the console and a colorless gas filled the vehicle, especially the holds and passenger seats.
He looked over at Yulef, who was focused solely on piloting. He was always only focused on what had to be done. Go there, come back, nothing else mattered to him, and it frustrated Caletri to no end. "You ever think of asking why? Why we're knocking these people out when they offer help?"
He honestly wasn't surprised when Yulef answered with a simple "No."

The Doctor noticed that the air was even less good quality, now having to rely on his respiratory by-pass system. He immediately knew that this was something more than mere altitude change. He also had an idea that this hadn't happened by accident. Someone was trying to knock them out. It could be the only explanation. He suspected an odorless gas of some sort. No doubt Donna would be passed out soon, and he would soon follow. He was no match for this gas, although he would fight it as hard as he could. They would be landing soon. Perhaps he could pretend to be completely passed out? If only he could hold on....

Somehow going down was making Donna a little dizzy...she heard the Doctor's question and turned her head.
"Yeah...the air feels sort of...thin," Donna said a little woozily. She took another breath, feeling weird. Then another...but this one made her lungs protest, and she coughed violently.
Sputtering, she looked at the Doctor and tried to refocus her eyes. Things only got fuzzier and after just a few seconds she collapsed, her head lolling as only her seatbelt held her up.

Caletri checked the screen showing the passenger's section. "The woman, Donna Noble, she's out."
"And the man?" Yulef asked as he started to turn.
"He's still awake it seems," Caletri said.
"Well, let's hope he's knocked out soon. We can't afford a lengthy trip around," Yulef told his copilot.

The Doctor, although he wasn't quite out yet, knew that his time of being alert was soon to come to an end. He couldn't live off his respiratory by-pass system forever. He would just put his head down and close his eyes...make it look like he was out.
If the pilots didn't hurry up and land them somewhere, or take them out of gas filled environment, he really soon would be knocked out. Deciding it was also easier to look like he was passed out, he copied Donna's look. He knew that he only had minutes before he too would be out.

Caletri watched the screen carefully. "He's out."
Yulef nodded. "Making the descent. And get some fresh air in here, it's annoying having to pilot with this mask on."
Caletri soon let the gas flow out the vents, but the effects were expected to work for the next hour.

The Doctor felt the air quality get slightly better, allowing him to breathe a bit again. In order to maintain his appearance, he continued to pretend to be unconscious.
"Why did these people feel the need to knock us out....unless....unless they are secretly working for the other side....but then.....well, maybe they are not moles. They might not want us to see how to get to their base.....not trusting anyone....."
The Doctor had no doubt that he would find out soon. He and Donna would be put together, or so he hoped. If they were imprisoned, he would know that all was not as it seemed. If they were put in a room where they could wake up, then he would assume that they simply wanted to make sure that the base was secure. If they were to be experimented upon, the Doctor would make sure that they did not touch him or Donna.
