Bryan grinned. "Alright, I'm going to call for a cab. Can't risk walking, right? And besides, my house is a good distance away. Which would be safer, mobile or landline?"

She straightened her shoulders and seemed to come back to herself more. She took a few deep breaths before replying, "The land line is completely secured, better than anything the Prime Minister has."

Bryan nodded. "Sounds good... How did you manage that? Did that Martha Jones set that up?" He looked around, then he realized... "Where is your phone?"

She chuckled. "Contrary to popular belief I'm not completely helpless. Of course the fact that you just saw me have a complete mental break down doesn't help my cause." She wiped some of the tears from her cheek. "God, I haven't cried like that in years. Oh, the phone is next to the microwave in the kitchen."

"No, it's just... never mind, thanks," Bryan said as he headed to the kitchen quickly to call a cab. He hoped she wouldn't pursue the subject, but decided to use this as an excuse to not talk about it.

A few minutes later the door bell rang. She rushed to see who it was and was relieved to see that it was just the taxi driver that Bryan had called. "Bryan, the taxi is here!" She yelled down the hall.

Bryan looked up and joined her. "Good. Need any help with your bags or anything?" he asked Serenity.

She smiled at him and replied, "Nope, I got it." Holding up the bag she had packed earlier. "You ready?"

The man who'd been watching them, realised that the two people were about to leave. Right about to walk onto the street he was on.
Panicking, he dived over the black metal railings and hid the bush. He peeked out through a gap in the leaves, trying to continue watching them. The man had trouble lip reading, but whatever they had been talking about was interesting to say the least.
He waited for them to leave.

Bryan looked over his shoulder when he thought he heard the rustling of a bush.

(well, he's just waiting for some attention, is all. ) The man hid in the bush a little more, trying to make the leaves cover his face. Keeping as low as he could, he forgot about one little thing. The goggles around his neck started to clack with movement and the light caught the red lenses, causing them to glisten. He screwed his face up in disappointment, knowing he'd just given his location away and quite obviously too. But, he did not show himself, only if asked to... Maybe if they looked away, he could run away! Yeah, that sounded like a plan. Not a very good one, he had to admit, but it would work... In theory.

Bryan eyed the bushes suspiciously. "Get in," he told Serenity, almost pushing her into the cab. "Listen. I'll catch up," he said quietly. He gave her his house key and some money. "Here's the key and the fare. Number 204. I gave the driver directions over the phone."

She couldn't believe that he had just pushed her in the car and told her to leave without him. He had obviously seem something she hadn't and wanted to investigate. If she left her mind would go wild about what is was so she decided to see what was going on. She leaned forward to the taxi driver and said, "Go around the block then stop somewhere that we can see what's happening."
