"I'll be fine." she told him with a shrug. As soon as they made it back to his place she changed into the warmest clothes she had. She could already feel herself warming up. She grabbed her drawing journal and headed into the kitchen.

Bryan was making tea for himself. He had left his gloves and towel by the door and grabbed a T-shirt.
He looked up when Serenity came in. "You sure you don't want anything? Did you have breakfast yet?"

She shrugged at his question before replying, "I'm not really hungry." She clutched the small book a little closer to her chest and met his eyes, "There is something I need to tell you. You told me a big secret about you, a dangerous one. It's only fair I do the same." She set the book on the table and built up her nerve.

Bryan looked over at her. "Alright," he said as he nodded. He slowly went over to her, keeping his eyes on her, though he occasionally glanced at the book on the table. "You don't have to feel obligated to, just because you found out that I'm not totally human."

"No, I want to tell you." She said with a smile. She lifted the book again and started her story, "For the longest time, no, You see I can, no, This book it holds the pictures I draw, but their not normal pictures of things I see and such. Sometimes I get this feeling, it's hard to describe. I just have to draw and I do. I never know what the picture will be until it is finished. It's almost like I'm not controlling my hand. It's hard to explain. The pictures I draw are terrifying. they show me things. Sometimes horrible, sometimes good, sometimes the past, and sometimes the future." She opened the book to the first page and slid it across the table to him. It was the picture of Canary Wharf. A picture of the destruction there. "You know about Canary Wharf, right? That's stupid everyone knows about Canary Wharf. I drew that picture exactly a week before the Canary Wharf Battle." She lifted her head to meet his eyes. "Do you know how terrible it makes you feel seeing the destruction on television and knowing that it was going to happen but being able to do nothing? To know that you knew what was going to happen even when no one else did? To know you didn't... weren't able to help?"

Bryan listened to her. He barely glanced at the picture before he couldn't help closing his eyes. Against the picture but also against the memories. "Yeah, I know. I was there." He looked up at her. "Try being in the middle of it, looking for someone who would never come back."

She reached across the table and took his hand in hers. She realised he wasn't wearing the gloves but ignored it temporarily. "I'm sorry." She turned to the page she had been on that morning. The page with his hands. "I drew that this morning." She said pushing the book towards him once more.

Bryan looked at her hand that held his. Then he looked at her. "It's alright. There was nothing you could do, like you said." He looked down at the picture of the hands, then took his hands and compared them to the picture. "That's really good."

She smiled and blushed a bit, "Yeah, I guess especially since I had never seen them before."

"Yeah," Bryan said, looking up to meet her eyes. "Who knows, maybe some day you can use this ability of yours to help people. I'm guessing you can't tell the difference between past and future drawings, but maybe we can figure that out. Who knows, there are a lot of possibilities."

A smile lit up her face and she didn't stop smiling even when she responded, "That would be amazing. Using this to help people. Being able to make a difference."

Bryan grinned to see her smile. He then frowned. "But how would we start? You're wanted by UNIT and I'm not exactly one to pose as a superhero." Maybe this wouldn't work.

She took his hand and squeezed it, "Don't worry we'll find a way. We'll save the world. If there is a will then their is a way."

Bryan smiled. "Yeah, that's true. Serenity saving the world one drawing at a time. Not sure how Bryan will fit in there yet."

She smiled at him and squeezed his hand again. "Your special. Not everyone is special the way you are, I'm sure there is some way you can help the world." she told him reassuringly.
