Bryan smiled and squeezed her hand back. "Yeah. That's not what I meant, but yeah." He looked into her eyes, not sure how to best approach what he had been trying to ask.

It took her a moment and a recap of his words to realise what he had been trying to say. "Oh... Well-" She held his hand a little tighter and said without hesitation, "As long as you'll have me, I'll stay. I haven't known you long but that doesn't mean you aren't special to me."

Bryan smiled. "Great," he said as he leaned in closer to her. "Because I knew you were special as soon as you refused my jacket." With that he kissed her.

She was shocked at first, He's kissing me! But then she realised she liked him, really liked him and she eagerly welcomed the kiss. All to soon she was forced to pull back for air but just a second later she wrapped her arms around his neck and was kissing him again.

Bryan grinned a little as they kissed again. He put his hands on either side of her face. He didn't want this to end. For once he actually had a girl that he could be himself with completely, and in fact liked him for his differences. Or at least he hoped that that was it.

Once again she was forced to pull back for air. She rested her forehead against his and said quietly, "I'm so so glad Melanie forced me to go to the party because if she hadn't I never would have met you and you know what I think I may just be falling in love with you and I also think your going to be late for work." The last bit she added after seeing the clock read, 10:48.

Bryan turned his head to look at the clock. "Ah, crap, not again." He got up and picked up his gloves. He grimaced a bit as he forced them on, then he went back to Serenity and gave her another quick kiss. "Love you, see you when I get off for lunch." With that, he ran out the door.

She couldn't stop herself from smiling even after Bryan had left. He loves me. She pottered around tidying randomly and things but after a while she got restless so she headed out. She didn't have a key so she locked the doors from the inside and then closed the doors figuring she would just wait for Bryan before going back in. She began to wander around Cardiff no real destination in mind, just wandering.

The man continued walkign down the street. he leaned on a diamond-topped cane as he did so. Recruiting, Recruiting, Recruiting, he was thinking. Oh, where to begin? He slid the cane into a sheath on his back, looked around for a second, then produced a long metal device. He pressed a button on the base. It emitted a sonic pulse that picked up the trace hypersonic noises made by changes in emotions. All calm. Good. The last thing he needed right now was some old woman with her cat stook up a tree. Recruiting. Yes. That was what he had to do. He pocketed the metal tube and set off down the street, walking withotu the aid of the cane. Nightclub. Yeah. He didn't know whether it had to do with getting drunk or recruiting, but that was where he needed to go.

Bryan ran into the video shop, The Green Eye, and quickly apologized to his employer for being later, yet again. Even then, and as he worked, he was thinking about Serenity at home. He smiled at that.
He started up front today, one of the easiest parts of the job. It was better than stocking shelves or manning the phone lines

The man fell out the nightclub, with a black eye. The manager stepped out, pushing a desperate-looking young woman back. "YOU LEAVE MY DAUGHTER ALONE, JONES, YOU SCUMBAG!" Jones saluted as the manager withdrew. He stood up, rubbing the back of his head. It hadn't gone as well as he'd hoped. What now? Jones turned 360 degrees on the spot. He saw a video store. Well, may as well give it a rest for the night. He walked up to it, squinting. It was called the Green Eye. So he went inside and strode up to the counter. "Hello! Where's you adult section?"

Bryan looked at the man. "Wow, you don't look so good," he said. He pointed toward the back with one of his gloved hands. "Right back there." He looked around, then whispered to him. "Selection's not that good, though. I suggest the store down the road."

"Oh, that's okay. As long as there's one...." He headed towards the room, but froze as one of Bryan's co-workers walked out. Jones frowned at the man, then went back over to Bryan. "How long've you been working with him?"

Bryn looked at his co-worker and shrugged. "He's been here about a couple weeks. Why, you know him?" He was actually surprised that someone asked about him. He seemed like a normal human, from his point of view. Or course, he wasn't exactly one to talk.

Jones took a deep breath, then let it out, and frowned, as though he were struggling with what words to use. "Would you take it badly," he began, "If I were to tell you he's one of the Timoreen family of Raxicoricofallapatorius?"
