"Go have adventures - mother and father say. We have a bank account set up with funds you'll need to do this. Go get more material for writing they say - you'll have fun they say!" Seren muttered under her voice as she walked down the street. She felt like screaming as of this moment. They had handed her a pair of keys, said one was for her and one for another person - when the time came she'd know what they were for. They handed her a backpack and a wallet with cash and cards. As well as back up cards that were kept in her top.
"WELL YOU DIDN'T TELL ME IT'D BE LONDON!" She screamed suddenly. She didn't often have issues with situations that her parents set up. But this one was ridiculous. She had found her calm was fading more and more as she went - and she was not exactly happy for the fact. Oh yes, send her to London - oh yes give her money. But NO don't tell her what she's there for.
Seren stopped - to look behind her, it was rather late in the evening and she had heard something behind her. She stopped to stare for a moment - catching a pair of glowing eyes, and a black fuzzy form. Great she was being stalked by a rabid dog - just what she needed. Unfortunately the young woman was unawares that it wasn't a dog, but some sort of creature she didn't want to know. But it was something following her nonetheless. Which would soon be causing issues.
Run away, hide - don't turn back, just run! the voice in her head screamed. Sweet mother... Why was this happening to her? The voice was back, that calm sweet and stoic voice. Ever present every cell of it's speaking in her mind was solid and stood with a bit of cold to it. She didn't know what the voice was - but she had listened to it before and been fine. It was as she started running that said creature leaped from the alley towards her.
Paws hit the ground and it turned towards her, looking at her with eight eyes, and a mouth that dripped tentacles. "OH holy - Oh hell!" She yelled as she ran backwards. She had turned back and looked - this was not good. And what was worse is she wasn't even in main london just one of the smaller outlying areas, with shops shut down for the night. And now she had something chasing her - going after her.
(( I have no idea what it is, it just came to mind when I was typing. Feel free to kill it. However you please. ))

With a stomach full of chicken schnitzel, Jack strode confidently down the street. He'd just spent the last three hours embarrassing Ianto during dinner - throwing chips in the Welshman's hair and serenading him in the street. Why Ianto would never accept his affection, he would never know.
He could see the complex in which he had parked his car up ahead, roughly three blocks away. At this rate, he would make short work of the travel.
Jack was almost at the complex when he was attacked from the side. With a squeal, he fell onto his right side. Upon hitting the concrete, he was immediately alert again. What had attacked him? A female, human, in her twenties. Why had she attacked him? It seemed she was frightened of something.
"Hey," Jack said cheekily, smiling up at her. "What's wrong?"

Oh great, just great. Yeah this would be something to write about. She ran then, her feet pounding on the pavement in a steady rhthym. Her eyes watched behind her for a moment. Watching as the creature got closer and closer. "Oh hell, oh hell..." She whispered as she ran.
She ran into something knocking her glasses off and the wind out of her. Her head turned, her haipiece catching on something and snapping free. Then there was a voice, a really nice one. Im engaged, Im engaged... Once this guy sees you, he will be looking elsewhere. Like everyone but your fiance. her own mental voice whispered. She regained her composure and looked back.
"There is something after me. Looks like a dog... but oh forget it, youll think Im a nut job, if I tell you I saw a monster." she muttered.

"Monsters are my specialty," Jack said cheerfully, trying to heave himself up from beneath the girl.
With a couple of grunts, he soon found himself on his feet, looking back in the direction the girl had run from. The sun had set now and what little light shone was wasted in the dark alleys. He could only see shadows and the occasional twitch of a rat or stray cat. Perhaps the girl was mad.
Jack was about to tell her so, when he saw the bright red eyes emerge from around a distant corner. He heard the snarls of the creature shortly afterwards, but it's bulk and appearance was still hidden by the deep ebony of its surroundings.
"Well, this doesn't look too good," he said, never taking his eyes off the beast, but offering his hand to the female stranger. "Get up, find your glasses. I don't think it'll attack if we're on one of the main roads. Too many cars around, too much light."

Seren blinked at him rather rapidly when he mentioned that monsters were his specialty. She realized he was trying to get up - when she finally managed to get herself up on her knees. He was turning to look back behind them. While she looked around - she heard a rather unsettling crunch. She felt around on the ground as she was directed to - and realized that that crunching noise hadn't been gravel. It had been the sound of glass breaking. She had the ability to get another pair no issue.
But the issue was seeing now. Which was definitely and issue. "Only issue is - you just stepped on them." She commented as she took his hand and pulled herself up. "I'm not from here so I don't know what belongs here - rather easily. But no books ever spoke of a black dog with eight eyes and tentacles that dripped from it's mouth." She said wryly as she saw the hulking mass of the black creature. Holding on to his hand with almost a dead grip. He had a nice voice - and his hand was warm. It was interesting.
Why wasn't Lloyd's hand as warm as this? She had held hands with him before. A few other things had concerned her about her fiance, like how he acted - and constantly asked for things. A little voice in her head aid that men were all the same - and he was just using her. That was probably the voice from... wait - there was a weight gone from her pocket. A weight she always knew. She stopped and went dead still. "I need help - there is an old watch, it was in my pocket... I can feel it's not there. It shouldn't be far from were I ran into you. Please help? It's all I have from my mother." She whispered as she looked towards the creature.
"The moment we have that, I'm fine with going towards the main road."

Ooc; Okay, turns out my computer switched accounts when I posted this. My bad. Just assume it's from Jack and we'll be right. c:
Harkness
Jack smiled apologetically. For the briefest second, he looked at the shattered glass and the twisted metal frame beneath his feet, then turned his gaze back to the beast. He hadn't seen her glasses when he stood up. Maybe it was time he got his own.
He squeezed her hand as an apology, not letting go. She'd probably need him to pull her along what with her new vision impairment.
"This thing looks dangerous," he whispered. "You stay here and monitor it and I'll find your watch. Tell me if it comes any closer."
Ooc; Did you want Jack to know it's a FOB watch? It's FOB, right? I'm pretty sure it was. But yeah. Did you want him to know?

(( Yeah, old fashioned FOB watch, which means he should recognize it pretty quickly. If he tells her - that's up to you. ))
Seren nodded as she looked in the distance, eyes narrowed faintly. "I had it up to the point when I bumped into you. Which means it's on the ground somewhere, nearby." She stated as she stared in the direction of the creature. She knew, that it was just waiting for her to turn her back again. The calm voice was gone - and she was trying to reason with herself that she would be fine. But it didn't sound very convincing in her own head. Her breaths became a little quicker as she gripped her elbows with her hands.
"It's and old fashioned watch. Pocket watch, it's kinda brassy looking - with a lot of rusty bits to it. Pretty swirling design on the cover." She commented as she looked over her shoulder for a moment. Then looked back - crap she should have kept watching it. It was getting closer - and this was really starting to unnerve her. How did they get away from this thing - or even fight it?

Jack nodded in understanding and fell to his knees, shuffling between trashcans and pigeons as he searched. There were very few women he had met that enjoyed a good ol' pocket watch. Old-fashioned clothing were a huge influence when it came to Jack's view on people.
After looking behind a particularly stinky bin, Jack found it. It was beautiful, as most FOB watches tended to be. His fingers traced the pattern on its covering, savoring the warmth it seemed to emit. There was no mistake - this was the possession of a dormant Time Lord. His blue eyes flickered to the girl. Did she know what this was? Did she know what she was?
Of all the time to be away from the Doctor, Jack thought sadly. He dusted the watch against his coat and walked casually to her side, offering it to her. I can't possibly say anything. Things could get hectic. I mean, look what happened with the Master. What if she remembers who she is?
"Let's go," he said quietly, turning and heading towards the parking complex where he'd left his car. The beast was a mere memory now. He had other things to attend to.
Hopefully, the girl would follow.

Hermione landed her TARDIS and poked her head out. "Hmmm. Sorry, Holly, perhaps not Rome." she told her companion. She stepped out and suddenly noticed something - there was a guy walking across to the parking complex with a girl. "Oh-kay, so we're in Cardiff, judging by the atmosphere." Hermione said to Holly and Dan. With a grin, Hermione walked down the street with them. Then she heard a weird snuffling noise. Hermione turned and saw some weird wolf guards, standing beside a silver man. It was not metal so it wasn't a Cyberman. Suddenly the creature grabbed Hermione and another silver man came. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Holly glanced at Dan when they saw the silver man and it's friend. Suddenly it stepped forward and grabbed her by her hair, tilting her haid backwards and held a knife to her. He signalled, and two more men came and scanned Holly and Hermione. "GET-OFF-ME!" yelled Holly angrilly. She was learning how to be fearless and get annoyed if she was grabbed. It was just like Hermione acted. The metal man kept stroking Holly's hair. Almost like flirting! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan kicked the silver man that advanced on him and tried to get to Holly and Hermione but was lasered. He fell back, but angrilly stood up to try and get to his girlfriend and his friend. Holly was going out with Dan, and it annoyed him when the silver man kept giving her little strokes. Dan tried to lash out at the creature but he was tied up. A SILVER MAN was FLIRTING with HIS girlfriend. The worst bit was, though, is that Holly seemed to look up at the creature with a weird smile on her face. Like she enjoyed it.
Music: Angels - Within Temptation Notes: Dan is made up, and Holly is my character the creatures are made up. Feel free to do whatever you like to them. The stroking Holly's hair is just a weird random thing I made up.

(( Ummm Hermione, we already have a creature to deal with. And perhaps it'd be best if you made this your own thread? ))

Ooc; I'm sorry Hermione, but as Seren has already stated, we currently have a monster for this story. If you'd like to join the thread, please edit you post to fit the storyline. If not, then I'm sure that that post would make more than an acceptable beginning to a thread.

Seren watched the direction of the creature. A shudder passing over her as she bit her lip hard. Oh sweet heavens - this was going to be a difficult situation. She had never encountered something like this. Or someone like him. The creature stalked even closer to them, as she back up. She felt him up against her arm - nearby. The warmth of him was relaxing for some reason. "It's getting closer." She said as her hand reached out and she took the FOB watch from him. Pocketing it and then looking towards him.
"We should probably get going, right?" She said nervously as she turned around to face him. Reaching out for a moment looking for a hand for support. "I have a bad feeling that the thing back there may not stop following. Any idea how to fight it?" She asked as she cocked her head to the side. They had to get going. Without the idea of how to get rid of this thing - unfortunately she was without and answer. Because none of the books she had said anything about monsters.
Was it possibly and alien. Oh there was the familiar calming voice again.

Harkness
Jack felt the girl slip her hand into his and gave it a reassuring squeeze. He'd get them out of this - this was a walk in the park compared to his travels around the universe.
"I've never encountered something like this," Jack admitted. He could feel the thundering vibrations as it trotted closer. "It doesn't seem completely hostile now that there are two of us, so I reckon we should stay calm and head closer towards the parking complex. If we decide to run, it might panic and attack."
Knowing that his new accomplice couldn't see too well, Jack sent a glance over his shoulder. In the fading light, he could see its hulking black body. It moved fluidly, almost like a shadow. Dripping tentacles hung from its muzzle, topped by glowing red eyes. It was covered in a slick, fur-like substance, vaguely resembling a chunky dog.
He turned back and looked at the parking symbol they were approaching. Not too far now. Only two hundred more meters, with the dog-Ood-beast following at roughly fifty meters. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Seren kept herself calm, as calm as she could. Squeezing his hand as she focused on her breathing. Her eyes tried to adjust, and she wished she wore contacts instead of glasses. "I'm sorry - I must seem like such a bother." She whispered as she followed after him. Glad that someone had some idea on how to deal with these kinds of things. She was more then a little nervous at the situation, and that was obvious from how her other hand was fidgeting with her watch in her pocket.
"Did I say thank you? I don't think I said thank you. And do you think the thing is just after me - or you know... just looking for something to eat." She whispered as she watched him. Her eyes widened a little as she bit her lip faintly - a nervous look overcoming her features. She didn't want to get eaten. She felt rather reassured in his presence, for some reason. Despite any true understanding of the nature of things. Probably because the bumbling Fiance of yours is a fraud. the clear sharp voice murmured in her mind. She was a little startled and didn't really flinch too much.
But she had always listened to the voice before. So what did that mean about her life, was it a lie. "What then, when we get to the parking lot?"

Oh, Lord, another rambler, Jack thought cheekily, trying not to interrupt her as she ran through various thoughts. Just my luck. Ramblers, ramblers, rambling rambling ramblers.
He waited for about twenty seconds after her last question, giving her time to breathe.
"I would assume that it's following you because it's hungry. Monsters have to eat too," he shot another look over his shoulder, seeing that the beast had dropped back a few paces. "As for the parking lot... we'll have to run once we get there. A lot. I'm parked on the third level and there are only stairs, but we can drive once we get to my car."
They were fast approaching the complex now and Jack could see the glint of black of his vehicle. It was so close, yet so far away.
