Suddenly Jack noticed the weevil dart down another street so once again he took off running after it. Not really paying attention to where he was going just following the weevil. He slammed into another person causing them both to fall to the ground. He picked himself up and looked around wildly searching for the weevil but it was no longer in sight. So he turned to the girl he had run into and asked, "You haven't by any chance seen a teenager in a Halloween mask run by?" No one would believe him if he asked if they saw an alien and that would blow Torchwood's cover as well so they stuck with the delinquent teenager story.

Rio tilted his head as he saw a brown creature speed through the streets and jump down into what looked like a sewer. He turned around to point this out to Nieve, but as he did he saw something slam into her. He bristled as the man ignored any potential injuries she could have. "I haven't, monsieur," he replied, not quite putting together in his head that the creature he saw was the teenager. "You really should watch where you're going. You could have hurt her, or yourself," he fretted, rummaging around in his bag for a box of bandaids.
"You are fine, aren't you?" he asked them with concern, pulling out a box of bandages. The Frenchman held them out triumphantly, a wide grin on his face.

This man was very rude she had decided. He just run into her and then completely ignored her. "I'm not sure I would tell you even if I had." Her own thoughts and words startled her. Just earlier that day she had been purposely trying to be invisible and now she was shocked that she didn't want to be any more. It seemed already that being with another person had begun to change her and she couldn't deny that she liked this, she liked feeling safe.
At Rio's offered bandage she looked herself over but seeing no cuts just what looked like would become a bruise on her elbow she refused with a smile and a thank you. Rio was concerned about her. She decided right then that she would try to travel with other people more often because it seemed as though life was better when you weren't alone.

Jack glanced over at the girl he had run into at the two of their's angry words. "Well she's fine. Told us so herself. Well I guess if you haven't seen the weev- teenager I should go." He scaned the area hoping to see the weevil but instead he noticed that Bryan was no longer with him. "Where did I loose him to now." he muttered to himself. He turned and was about to walk off when...
*Didn't know what else to do. Out of ideas.*

"Attendez, monsieur!" Rio stepped in front of the man and smiled charmingly, offering him his hand. "My friend and I can help you find the teenager, no?" he turned his smile towards Nieve. "We don't have anything better to do, and how dangerous can a teeanger be? Right?" he pressured, bouncing on his feet with excitement.
He then changed tastics suddenly, slamming one of his fists into the palm of his hand. "We're.. we're.. chasseurs!" He hadn't been sure of the English equivalent of the word (he often forgot many words for English when he was excited). "And that is all the reasons that you should let us help you, monsieur," he finished triumphantly.
"Oh, yes, my name is Riocard, but you can call me Rio if you like," he glanced over to Nieve, unsure of whether she'd like for someone else to know her name or not.

She shrugged when Rio looked over at her before replying, "Yeah we might as well help. Sounds like it could be fun." she turned towards Jack and asked, "What does this teenager look like? Should we look for your missing friend as well?" When Rio introduced himself she followed suit, "I'm Nieve." She told him with a smile. She didn't put her hand out. Physical contact always put her on edge and made her uncomfortable. "So where do we start looking?" she asked.
*This way Bryan can join in when ever he likes.*

When Nieve agreed that they might as well help, Rio beamed. "There you have it, monsieur! We shall help!" he whirled around and pointed in a random direction. "I bet the teenager is over there! That looks like a very teenage spot," he proclaimed, marching towards the spot confidently. In his confidence, he almost stumbled into the hole the creature he had seen earlier go down. "Ah! Don't want to go down there," he backtracked suddenly, sending a glare towards the offending hole.
It certainly wasn't because he was afraid of tight places and the dark. Not at all. "What teenager in their right mind would go down there with a Halloween mask on? That's not a very Halloweeny place. Hey, why do you think a teenager is running around? I thought British kids were supposed to be obedient to the point of creepy servilism," he rambled, casting a questioning look back to the man. "Not that he'd know. He doesn't even sound British. Can you believe it? I bet the teenager is his kid. I can see an American running around with a Halloween mask on, but not a Brit," he continued solemnly, walking about aimlessly in search of a friend and a teenager.

She halted suddenly almost walking into his back as he stopped before the hole.
Hey, why do you think a teenager is running around? I thought British kids were supposed to be obedient to the point of creepy servilism, Not that he'd know. He doesn't even sound British. Can you believe it? I bet the teenager is his kid. I can see an American running around with a Halloween mask on, but not a Brit," he rambled on. she laughed and peeked behind her at the man, "He does seem kind of shifty. Why is he running around looking for some teenager? I don;t think we should trust this guy." she whispered too him.
*I can tell you as a fact that British kids are not at all like that.*

"Believe me, Brits aren't that perfect," Bryan said, rolling his eyes. He looked to Jack, kinda following his lead at this point. It seemed a bit rude of them to act the way they were, but since when was rude new for humans? Sure he was half-human, but he never said he wasn't rude sometimes either.
((I have school so I may not be able to get on that often, guys, just so you know))

Jack stared in shock at the two people he had run into for a few seconds before he snapped out of it but it was too late they had already started looking around. He quickly began to formulate ways that they could escape without drawing too much attention to the fact that he was ditching them. He was drawn out of his musings by Bryan's words and remarked, "Well there you are I thought I may have lost you. Not the best thing to do on your first day at Torchwood." The other two were a little ways ahead so he wasn't worried about them hearing him.

Nieve was a Viriel and that meant that she had better hearing than humans so while she was wandering around looking for teenagers with Rio she was privately listening to the man that had run into her. She still didn't trust him there was something about him that just didn't sit right in her stomach. When the word 'Torchwood' left his mouth she knew why she hadn't trusted him. Torchwood was never to be trusted, they were evil. Her whole body tensed and her mind was screaming at her to run and not look back.

"You really think I'd get too far behind? So glad you underestimate me so," Bryan said quietly, rolling his eyes. He kept an eye on the wandering duo. "You sure about throwing that around like that?" he whispered. "There are some species that have more sensitive hearing but look completely human... So who should sneak off and go after that thing, you or me?"

Rio glanced at her with concern. "You okay?" he asked quietly, noticing the way she tensed up. "Did you find something?"he continued, unaware of the conversation she was picking up. He didn't have to be the greatest empathic Frenchman to know what that body language meant. It was something he dealt with all the time; at the sight of guns, alleys, and fish.
It was the urge to run.
"Is it something to do with..." he trailed off, and pointed to his eyes. "Don't worry. You stay here! I'll go interrogate them subtly," he whispered, and flitted back to them. He pulled out a magnifying glass and examined Bryan and the man.
"I remember you," he stated cheerfully. "You're the guy that doesn't like me, monsieur!"
And then his smile disappeared and he stood on his tip-toes, glaring at Jack through the magnifying glass. "Do you hurt aliens, monsieur?" he demanded for Nieve. He wasn't too sure of the clear definition of 'subtle', but that didn't stop him. "And don't even lie. I can see." His voice had gotten low, the way that he had heard mystics and gypsies talk. When he mentioned how he could see, he wriggled the magnifying glass and widened his eyes meaningfully.
As usual, Riocard Keats had no idea what he was doing. He was just trying to settle Nieve's fears subtly. Well, his own form of subtle.

Bryan raised an eyebrow at the man with the magnifying glass. "What are you going on about? If you don't want to help, then don't help. Don't go around with your silliness asking about aliens and such. And by the way, that psychic show you're trying to pull off is ridiculously fake."

As Rio asked if she was okay she forced her hands to unclench and she turned to face the two men behind them. She moved slightly closer as Rio interrogated them, subtly . She wasn't sure if being French meant he didn't really understand what the word meant but if she hadn't been so tense and quite frankly terrified she would have been quite entertained by his interrogation methods.
Nieve decided that for the first time ever she would stick up for herself. She walked over to Jack and asked him trying to keep her voice steady, "You're Torchwood?" She dreaded his response because she was fairly certain that she knew what it would be.
