Simon punched in co-ordinates for cardiff, in the 21st century. He muttered "Well, i better hope that my shyness does not get the better of me." He hit the button on the vortex manipulator, and he was transported to cardiff. He looked around and saw he was in the air a bit, and it was dark. No one was around, and he realized he was still hovering in the air. He fell to the pavement, wincing as he went unconscious from hitting his head on the pavement.

Ooc; It's late and I'm down from my sugar high now, but I'll try to make this as understandable as possible. I promise. c:
The night was dark and the city relatively quiet as Gylfie made her way back to her temporary apartment. Some of Torchwood Cardiff members had invited her out for a game of pool and it had quickly turned competitive. Never one to hold alcohol well, Gylfie had lost and left her friends at the pub. At first, they had scolded her and offered her a lift home, but she refused, not wanting to put her friends at risk.
Now, the air had sharpened her senses and she was back to the same tipsy state she had been enveloped in a few hours earlier. Every second, she was growing even more sober. The clip clip clip of her heels were almost like a secret mantra, pushing away the drunken stupor.
Pool never was my thing, she thought primly, rounding a corner into new street. The 'closed' sign of a tattoo parlor was the only light. She didn't see the lumpy mass ahead of her until it was too late. Her foot clipped it sharply, causing her to stumble slightly. What was that? Oh, it's a man!
Every instinct told her to run. This could be a mass murderer or some drunken homeless man looking for his next meal. Unfortunately, her other personality attributes often overruled her sense of self-preservation. She let her fingers dance across his forehead before accepting that he was unconscious.
"Excuse me?" She whispered frantically. She cleared her throat and tried again. "Excuse me, sir? Sir, are you alright?"
As she waited for a response, she checked his pulse, assessed his clothing situation, took note of the surrounding buildings and pressed her GPS monitor to activate it (just in case), all in one fair swoop. She was forever the professional, acting as though this was any other human being, fresh from an alien hunt. He didn't appear to be injured. He didn't appear to be homeless.
... Yet unease continued to stir within her stomach.

Simon groggily woke up, and looked at the woman. All of his shyness came rushing towards him and he pushed himself back from the woman. He was always shy, but being around women made him even more shy. He was wearing a black shirt, and blue jean. He was also wearing a black denim jacket, which he had picked up a few weeks ago. He looked at the woman and tried to speak, but his shyness was too bad for him to speak. He thought about going invisible, but he was too scared in case she worked for the government.

Ooc; Oh! Thank you for listing what he is wearing, that reminded me that I needed to mention Gylfie's outfit. (I do that at the start of every new roleplay.) It's late, so I forgot this time.
As for my reply, I'll need to leave it for tomorrow. Sleep sounds good right now!
Gylfie is currently wearing this and this.

Gylfie stood up again as the stranger rolled away. One of her knees popped lightly as it aligned and she rubbed it thoughtfully. This boy was suffering from some severe shyness. The way he shuffled back from her and his facial features all depicted someone scared or nervous, but what did he have to be afraid of? She was a simple human female.
Going in for a second shot, Gylfie cocked her head and took a step closer to him, offering him her hand. Her fingers seemed to melt into the darkness, but she assumed his eyes would be more used to the lack of light than hers.
"Do you need any help, love?" She said softly, her voice almost a coo. She considered bending to help him up, but decided against it. "I'm Gylfie. What's your name?"
The possibilities of this stranger being a mass murderer had lessened and now she was highly doubting that he was homeless. He seemed clean and his clothes didn't appear to be cheap or slovenly. In fact, he seemed rather average. Had he not been so shy, Gylfie might've even thought that he had plenty of friends and that they had left him here as a drunken game.
But if he is a mass murder, he's a very smart one. Luring young ladies to his side without any work necessary. Oh, Gylfie, what have you gotten yourself into?

Simon tried to speak, but all the came out was air. He was really shy, and this triggered his power. His hands and head moved at lightning speed, and he went invisible. He panicked and cursed, but the woman would not hear him curse, as when he was invisible, no one noticed him. Unless they had psychic powers. He turned visible again and mumbled "My names simon. And please don't dissect me for government experiments."

Gylfie was waiting patiently for Simon - as he later called himself - to respond, when all of a sudden, he disappeared. She gasped loudly, stumbling backwards. Where did he go? The brick wall of a dark building pressed against her back.
Mass murderer? No. Homeless man? Probably not. Alien? Most likely. She thought frantically, her hands beginning to tremble. He doesn't seem very dangerous, but is that anything to go by?
Once he appeared again and introduced himself, Gylfie focused on her breathing. She was trained to deal with these sorts of situations, but not on a drunken night with friends! How was she supposed to deal with an alien that could probably disappear if he felt threatened?
"I'm not going to turn you in," she said in a trembling voice. She forced herself to take a step forward. "You should come with me though. It's not safe for someone like you to be out here and I work with, well, ah, your kind."
Sure. Take him back to the hub. He'll probably kill us all. Shut down the systems. Whatever. Oh, I hope Jack is there. I'm pretty sure he lives there.

Simon had tears in his eyes, and he suddenly started crying. He looked at the woman and said "Please. I'm the last of my kind. I'm an invisiblate there is. I don't want to die at the age of 16. Please, i'll come with you, just don't dissect me or kill me." He stood up and walked with the woman, trying to stop himself from crying. He had to put up with the depression of being the last of his race every single day of his life.

Ooc; I'm sorry! I didn't realize you had replied. I must've received my notification and deleted it by accident. (I'm extremely anal about keeping my inbox tidy!) I apologize a million times over.
Oh! Poor baby! Gylfie thought. She swooped down to comfort him, her hand hovering over one of his cheeks. Her maternal side was shining through again, the side of her that kept her worrying about her team, even when she knew they were left in good hands. The last of his kind?
"Come on," she said softly, heaving herself back to her feet. She stumbled slightly, the alcohol wrapping itself around her ankles. "We'll get you all tidied up, sunshine. You're completely safe with me!"
She placed her hands on her hips in a classic superhero pose. Actually, it was something she had learned off Jack. Confidence was the trick. If you could make someone believe that you knew what you were doing, then they were immediately comforted. Hopefully it would work on an alien... that could turn invisible.
Ooc; "Confidence was the trick." Ohohooo! Did you see what I did there? Confidence trickery? Conman? Because... because that's what Jack was... I'll be quiet now.

Simon wiped his tears and said "Ok. Thank you." He gave a shy smile to the woman. He was still really shy but she was being very kind to him, and this made him less shy. The woman was treating him much nicer than most people would, and he was happier than he had been in a while. He said "Where are we going exactly?" He was trying to control his nervousness, as sometimes when he was nervous, he would suddenly go invisible.

Gylfie returned the smile and did a small pirouette, now facing in the direction of the Millennium Centre. She could see the tip of the Water Tower behind a group of shops and began walking leisurely towards it, her heels clipping the pavement loudly. Her head was still full of static, but she was perfectly capable of making her way towards the Hub. She just hoped that this Simon boy would trust her long enough.
"I'm taking you to the most beautiful place on Earth," she called back over her should. "The Hub. See, I work with aliens and the like. Don't worry though -" she stopped and turned, looking him in the eye. "We're the good guys. We help as many people as we can. Come on."
She went back to walking, rounding a corner. The Millennium Centre was now in full view, in all its glory.

Simon walked with gylfie and said "Alright." He rubbed the back of his head. It was still sore from where he had hit it, and he thought he might have a pounding headache later. He looked at the millenium centre and said "Wow. Thats a beautiful building." He smiled, and he was less nervous now. He then said to gylfie "What exactly is the name of the organization you work at? Because, i've been to earth a few times, and i had a run in with UNIT. Not a nice experience. I only got out of their base cos i could go invisible. They wanted to see what my anatomy was like. I didn't want that." He was rambling cos this happened sometimes.

Gylfie bit her lip. She couldn't pretend that she hadn't heard him, because he had caught up to her now. During her short spiel, she had been tempted to tell Simon that she worked with Torchwood. Of course, that wouldn't be a good idea. He had had a bad experience with UNIT, but had he had any bad run-ins with Torchwood? It was possible.
"Ah..." Procrastination - she failed miserably at it. Her efficiency had become a useful habit, but in this situation, she longed desperately for the ability to stall. "I work for Torchwood. Not this unit, mind you. I live and work in Australia, but I'm here visiting some friends. Not friends. Work colleagues. Torchwood. I'm visiting Torchwood."
She scratched the back of her neck in embarrassment. They were almost at the Water Tower now.
Maybe it'd be safer going through the Bay... I wouldn't want to give away the trade secrets. The perception filter might freak him out. She nodded silently to herself and altered her route, walking to the left, closer to the Centre. She could hear the ocean and smell the salt, but her blurred vision could not pick up the sparkling lights of the dock.

Simon said "Thats cool. I have heard of torchwood, never had any run ins with them. I heard about this sector though. Torchwood 3. Isn't there a invisible lift you could go in through? I heard about that bit as well." Simon smiled at gylfie. He was a bit tired, but he was gonna stay awake for a while, so he could talk to gylfie more about torchwood. He rubbed the back of his head for the second time that night, and he was starting to get a headache, probably caused by his fall to the pavement.

Gylfie was relieved to find that Simon had not met the team before. She had doubts that he would ever go with her if he had. Jack would be all over him, Ianto and Tosh watching silently, Gwen trying to pull information from him and Owen being sarcastic.
He knows about the lift... Nah... I'll take him through the bay, she decided tersely, continuing down some steps and onto the tarmac below. It's best if no one knows exactly where the filter is.
"We'll be going this way," she said, letting out a soft hiccup. "It'll be much easier for me. I'm a bit clumsy right now, as I'm sure you can see."
She struggled with the tourist office door, eventually pushing it open and walking through. Ianto would be somewhere near-by, had he arrived back from the pub already. She had no idea if he was home or stalking the Hub, but she hoped it was the former. She looked extremely suspicious.
"This is the tourist office!" She said loudly, opening her arms wide in a mock presentation. "Don't believe the pamphlets too much... they're sort of old."
