"yes well doctor I don't need the controls," he grabbed hold of Tyler swinging him over to the doctor, he left one hand on top of the device he had just encase then waited for the doctors next move.
"So then doctor you have the boy as promised the keys please," he smirked a little the doctor had no idea why he even wanted the Tardis.
He waited patiently and smiled at the pirate captain
"Nice to meet you captain always been my dream, nice to see you live up to your reputation."

"Very well, here." The Doctor tossed over the key at the same time he reached out to catch Tyler and ease him to the floor.
Blackbeard still had no idea what was going on around him but he felt he had to assert himself in some way or other. "Dream, be it? Well, I have to admits you be a pirate! Not what I'm used ter but one jes' the same! But I still be capn' of this here ship."

"Oh dont worry Blackbeard I meant no harm by your pirates and a fine punch they are." Dan caught the keys with one hand and quickly checked them over the with device on his eye, he tapped the eye patch once then smiled.
"Well then Doctor, goodbye and thank you," his face changed to a smirk once more he flipped a switch on his gun and fired at the wall that had weakened earlier, he quickly dived though it and walked off shouting behined him,
"Doctor hope you don't mind staying here, how about I sell the scraps then give you some of the money." He laughed feeling somewhat happy and made his way to the nearby Tardis

"You won't find it that easy," the Doctor muttered. "Especially when you have the wrong key! I knew that skeleton key would come in handy even though I lost the trunk to it years ago. Are you all right, Tyler?"

Tyler didn't exactly like being dragged along as Dan had done, but he had very little choice in the process. He listened to the Doctor and Dan bargain with one another.
Tyler frowned when the Doctor said that he would comply with Dan's wishes. He was about to protest, but thought better of it.
He was even more surprised when Dan practically threw him to the Doctor, and the Doctor caught him.
He heard the Doctor's question and then responded, "I don't really know....it.....I can't move.....he did something to my body...shot me with something and it made it so that I can't move for a while. All I can do is turn my head and talk....."

Dan was not happy he got to meet a time traveller and get tricked by them all in one day. When he had tried the key in the lock it had not worked he had checked the key over once more with the eye patch and this time it told him it was fake great. He was not angry though as there was no need to be actually he felt quiet calm.
He decided he might as well go back to the top of the boat for now and just treat this day as he did every day a holiday, that's what he was here for anyway, well that and any opportunity he could find to find something valuable. he would head back for the deck and find another way to take the Tardis later.
He was about to head of back to the deck when the watch on his arm bleeped he looked at it confusion on his face. It took him a while but his face turned to that of shock then worry, then an idea struck him and he made his way to where he knew the Doctor was.
Once he got there he stood in the shadows silently listening to what was going on, he then set the gun setting to undo what had been done to Tyler he was not sure if it worked or not because he had never tried it. He stepped out of the shadows firing at Tyler.
"There you should be fine now," he smiled then stepped closer making sure he had got the doctors attention.
"Im here to warn you doctor,"

"Warn me?" the Doctor looked up. "Warn me against what, seasickness? A rogue wave? A flock of maurading seagulls?" He helped Tyler to his feet as Blackbeard looked about, scowling.
"If yer be thinkin' of another ship comin' we'd be hearin' from it by the crow's nest, me lad!"

Tyler glanced at Dan after he'd been shot again, not really sure whether or not he should trust this man.
A confused look on his face, Tyler asked, "Wait....you just kidnapped me and threatened to kill me....and you want to take the Doctor's box....and now you want to warn him?"
Tyler, grateful for the help in getting up glanced steadily at Dan. "What sort of warning would you have for us...."

(Ooh the plot thickens!  ) "Hmm, wonder if it's Maynard he trying to warn us about," the Doctor murmured to Tyler. "He's the one who puts an end to Blackbeard, probably quite soon now." Aloud he glanced about. They were still in the cabin area of the ship but they could still hear the shouts and footsteps about them as the pirates stowed away the items they had stolen off the other ship. Another thought hit him, the ship's crew. "Captain, may I ask what you're going to do wit hthe crew of the other ship?" "Hmm?" Blackbeard looked down at him, haven forgotten the excitement of the battle in the strange happenings. "Oh, the other ship. Well, I be askin' the crew if any wishes t'join us, then I decides to scuttle it er not." "Why not just let them go free? You've got what you wanted, there's no need to kill any more people." "Ye'd make a poor pirate there, Doctor." "Well, what good would it do to slaughter those poor devils anyway? Don't you think word of this would only make things worse and more would be sent out hunting for you?" the Doctor tried every reasonable arguement he could think of. "They already be huntin' for me, Doctor. My neck's as good as in the noose already. Best I can do is keep alive and enjoy meself as long as I can. Then the divel and I be shakin' hands down below!" The Doctor sighed, it seemed a losing battle. "On my request then? Please?" Blackbeard thought a moment, then echoed the sigh. "Oh, very well. As a favor to ye, Doctor. After I glean what crew I can I'll be settin' them free. For this time!" He truned on his heel and strolled off. The Doctor sighed again, this time in relief. |

Dan listened to the exchange between the doctor and blackbeard smiling almost.
"Your very persuasive doctor," he looked once again to his watch it was still bleeping meaning what was going on was not going to be good, he sighed took a look at tyler and then looked back at the Doctor.
"Im here to warn you about this,"
He pressed the watch and a hologram of the time vortex appeared with 2 pirate looking raid ships flying though it, he watched the Doctor's expression then turned off the hologram.
"Its a raiding party of my people, dont worry ive not called them I never call them, and I'm warning you as they are alot worse than me, I actually have a code of honour, they just plunder the whole of time and space with out a second thought of what they are doing well most of them," he hurried his speech along quickly knowing they hardly had all that much time.
when he stopped speaking he realised the doctor may not even know what his race is.
"Er doctor have you ever heard of my race?"

Tyler looked from the Doctor to Dan. "Your race? What is going on? And why did you call the Doctor a Time Lord? "
If Dan was right, they would need to get to the Doctor's blue box and put their possessions inside. Tyler still had the ruby that the pirate had given the Doctor in payment, and he still had his broken pocket watch.
Tyler glanced at the Doctor again. "And do you think we'll have time to hide our valuables before these other pirates come?"
He glanced at Blackbeard and then said, "What the Doctor was given in payment for his services, and my only belongings...."

The Doctor studied the hologram and frowned. "Time pirates," he said at last. "Not the most pleasent of people. I thought they had all been destroyed by the Cybermen. Seems a few had slipped past. This does not bode well."
He leaned back against the nearest wall and bit his thumbnail, thinking. If these pirates were heading for Earth they would do immense damage to not only the planet but its time line as well.

"Cybermen, when was this?" Dan was now somewhat confused but then he had been in the time vortex for some time and hardly really ever checked up on his own race so he had no idea what was going on at all back home, he would have to go back sometime to find out.
He took a look at his watch again to check the readings, he msiled they had enough time to think of something thats for sure, but what to think of was going to be intreasting. He looked around the cabin and look back at Tyler nodding to him. He watched the Doctor for a bit he could tell he was thinking up something.
"Doctor you do know they will end up killing or displacing in time anyone they see if they are not of some value, even someone important enough in time like Tyler there for example," he reammbered somethign earlier a reading he had gotten from the boys pocket he turned to face tyler again then back to the Doctor.
"Doctor i'm not sure you know but Tyler has something of power in his pocket."

The Doctor nodded, completely lost in thought. Time pirates were notoriously difficult to deal with, which was probably why the Cybermen tried to destroy them. After all, the pirates valued monetary amounts more than just about anything else and the Cybermen could never understand the concept. One extreme clashing with the other, the pirates most likely trying to sell vanquished Cyber warriors for scrap if they could. Now they were heading towards Earth, a planet rich in metals and goods and at this time frame little able to defend itself. The only thing that would dissuade them from this aim would have to be even richer pickings.
But just what?
Blackbeard had returned from his releasing the crew of the vanquished ship and stood there watching the group. He didn't understand what was going on but it had to be serious, judging from the quiet and the Doctor's face.
"Hmm, power? On Tyler? You have a sonic screwdriver as well then?" The Doctor was still pondering the current problem. He had to find a lure for the coming pirates, he just had to!

Tyler stood there listening to the Doctor and Dan talk to one another as if they were friends.
"What are cybermen?" Tyler blurted out. "And what are you talking about? What's a time pirate....and how is that different from a regular pirate?"
Tyler glanced from the Doctor to Dan. What were these two even talking about? Displacing time?
"Me, important in the time line? What are you talking about?" Tyler asked.
"What? Something of power on me? " Tyler then shook his head, "I don't have a sonic screwdriver, if you were asking me. I don't even know what one is.....I don't own a screwdriver or any tool. I don't actually have anything of value besides that ruby...honestly....."
Tyler glared at Dan. Just what was he trying to do? This was likely a ploy that Dan was trying to use to cause the Doctor to distrust Tyler.
