Bryan sighed and nodded. He hated that he couldn't tell Serenity, but this was his job now. He didn't like it one bit, but what choice did he have? He clipped the gun to his pants and his badge in his back pocket.

Bryan watched him leave and sighed. He ate a couple more chips and got a to-go box. Then he paid for the meal and went to look for Serenity. He had made up his mind that he wouldn't keep anything from her, but she would make sure she stayed out of trouble. He would try to see how to get Gabriel to hire her too. That could protect her from UNIT.

She was sitting on a bench in the park when she saw Bryan. He seemed to have a pensive look on his face. She realised he hadn't noticed her so she walked towards him. "How'd the 'meeting' go?" She asked curiously.

Bryan looked at Serenity and smiled. "Alright, I guess. Wants me to meet him somewhere. Looks like I found a way for me to save the world, however much we might dislike the boss." She watched her to see how she would react.

She nodded, "I told you there would be a way for you to save the world. Looks like you even beat me to it." She chuckled and added, "Yeah but you can't get along with everyone. We'll get through this."

Bryan smiled. "We will. Hey, maybe I won't have to wear my gloves to work anymore. That's a plus." He couldn't help grinning at that.

She chuckled at his words, "Yeah it must be a relief knowing that someone else knows. Well now two people know. Although I'm not sure we should completely trust him." She sighed before adding, "I'm just being paranoid, it's not something you can get rid of easily. I'm just being wary."

Bryan nodded. "Yeah, I know. But I'm not going to trust him explicitly. I don't know the guy. I am going to be careful around him. After all, he did kill my co-worker because he was an alien and tried to push broccoli on me."

Bryan looked her in the eye. "Well, I doubt that I'll have a job to go back to, so I guess we should head back to the house until the time comes." He liked how things were going, besides losing his stupid job and working for one of the very organizations he had been trying to avoid. He liked, however, that he met a girl he could be himself around. He squeezed her hand and smiled at the thought.
