Bryan nodded. "Thanks..." He them looked to Serenity to try to gauge her reaction. He hoped that he didn't make things bad with her by accepting.

Serenity wasn't sure what to think about this man, the job, or Torchwood in general but she decided to give it a chance. At Bryan's look she gave him a hesitant smile and squeezed his hand.

He pushed a leather wallet across the table.
"Custom ID. That'll get you anywhere."
He pushed a holstered handgun accross the table.
".38 caliber pistol. That'll make sure you get anywhere."

She wanted to gape at Gabriel but she carefully schooled her features before asking, "How do you already have an ID ready." The gun had put her off slightly, she didn't like guns.

She couldn't stop herself that time and gaped at him. She had tried to keep an open mind about first impressions before but now she had made a firm decision, she didn't like this man. She couldn't believe that he had the audacity to speak like that, he was unbelievably rude. She turned to Bryan to see what his reaction to this man was.

"What? I don't like you, you don't like me, what's so hard to believe about that?"

Serenity had to agree with the man but even if she didn't like him it didn't mean that she was going to be rude. It is possible to dislike someone and still be polite. "Your right I don't like you but I'm going to take the higher road and be polite about it." She turned to Bryan and said, "I'm going to go for a walk while you two talk." She kissed him lightly on the cheek before walking out the door.

Bryan stayed quiet for some time, watching Serenity leave. He looked to Gabriel. "You might want to consider hiring Serenity too. Just saying." He reached for the ID and holstered gun.

Gabe opened his coat to reveal ten automatic pistol holsters on the inside.
