the past few months have been incredibly difficult ones for those living in the small town of forks, and on the reservation at la push. when you lose someone you care about, moving on with your life is never easy. the quileutes lost a friend in bella swan, and lost one of their own in the battle against victoria's newborn army. they won't soon forget seth, and they also refuse to forget just why it was that he died. if it weren't for the cold ones, they'd still have their pack mate. seth would be alive, and in one piece. if it weren't for them, jacob would still have bella. but ... that's not the way things worked out.
in forks, there are the cullens. they lost one of their own, as well. edward was like family, to them, and losing him has taken a toll on the whole coven. each of them has been attempting to find his or her own way to deal with the loss of a brother, and in some cases the loss of a friend. there isn't a day that passes that they aren't aware of what they've lost. the tension between the coven and the quileutes doesn't help. neither does the deterioration of the cullens' relationship with the denali coven.
as if that weren't enough for both of the groups to contend with, another threat looms in seattle. it would appear that riley and victoria aren't done with the city yet. shortly after accomplishing their goal, riley confronted victoria about her true feelings. shocked to find that edward had been right and that it was all a lie, he was left bitter and broken by it all. he began building his own family, of sorts, one that he plans to eventually use to take down victoria. that isn't to say that she doesn't have her own minions, though. the two are at war with each other, while victoria also plans to wreak more havoc for the quileute wolves and the cullens. the three are locked in a struggle that none of them can back down from, and it's only a matter of time before the flames begin.[/CENTER]
