Alma pushed the bag she had gathered together away with her feet. She ran her fingers through her hair. She shivered from the cool night air in the abandoned building she had found. Since she had escaped the place where she was kept she would keep low and steal things when she needed to. Though she must say this place wasn't very comfortable, let alone had any food. Her stomach growled with the hunger. Her body would take time getting use to being off of the feeding tube. The way she had got out of that horrible place was a total blur to her. For all she knew she could've left the place in ruins and burnt it to the ground with many people in it! But she for the life of her she couldn't remember. Her body disliked how long she had run for. Her muscles getting use to being out of the 'womb'. She got to her feet. All she was wearing was a hospital gown, it hung on her thin body loosely, her bones showed from being under fed. Tomorrow she would focus of finding clothes and finding food, but for now she felt way to weak. She got to her feet and walked over to a boarded up door way and with only the powers of her mind she shoved at the wood making it shatter within a few seconds and leaving splinters flying everywhere, dust hung in the air for a few long moments. Madame Vastra was completely in the wrong century, and she was hating it. She had just dropped off Rory and Amy after Demon's Run, but the leap in time was too stressful for the Time Agency wrist strap The Doctor had given to her.
She'd have a word with him later, but right now, she was trying to find food for her and Jenny. She felt frozen to the bone and not for the first time, she cursed her reptile nature.
That's when she heard the explosion. It wasn't a loud one, but she could never be too careful. She unsheathed her swords and stood ready. It came from the building behind her. Maybe it's a Mammal thief... Tasty. Madame Vastra walked slowly to the door and entered.
She never expected to see a woman in a hospital gown. Apparently, the other didn't know she was here, so Vastra looked closer. The woman was very thin. Too thin to be healthy. It seemed like it took all her energy to stand.
It reminded Vastra of when she found Jenny, but Vastra knew logically that it was nothing like Jenny.
Jenny never shattered doors. Prepared for a fight, Madame Vastra raised her swords, checking to make sure she was in the shadows.
"Why is a hospital patient breaking into buildings?"

Alma jumped startled. The thin woman whirled around but her legs not use to moving so swiftly, collapsed under her. She landed right on her bother too. When she saw the persons face she breathed in startled. This person had a scaley face. She hadn't seen anyone like that before. actually she hadn't even seen many people before since she was nine let alone... what ever this person was. Her red eyes narrowed slightly. She got back to her feet, leaning against the wall with her arm. "I'm not a hospital patient, I'm homeless," she lied, "trying to get out of the fuckin' cold." Her voice was very raspy from not being used. She was deciding not to comment on this persons appearance. She was just hoping she wouldn't realize that she wouldn't have had anything to break that door way open with. She really didn't feel like trying to explain that. [/blockquote]

Vastra gripped her swords tighter. The woman has red eyes. Vastra's not an expert on the humans, but that's not normal. Vastra was suddenly aware that according to this planet, she's not normal, either.
Despite the human's fear, she stood up and didn't comment on Vastra's appearance.
"I'm not a hospital patient, I'm homeless," she lied, "trying to get out of the fuckin' cold."
Vastra looked at her skeptically and lowered her swords. The woman wasn't going to put up a fight in her state.
"Yes..." she drawled sacastically, "Very likely." Vastra wasn't going to say anymore on the subject. If this red-eyed woman accepted her appearance and didn't comment, Vastra wouldn't comment about her.
"If you wish, I have a place outside of the..." Vastra tilted her head, "'fuckin' cold', was it? But I won't take you there if I think you're a threat to society." There was a hiss sounding like kimono dragon attached to the end of the sentence, letting the patient know that it wouldn't end well if she is actually a threat.

It seemed that they were both weary of each other. Which seemed understandable under the circumstances. It seems that they both were sort of out of place right now. Alma wanted to ask what this person was doing in a pretty barren part of the woods. Being out of the social norms of regular people Alma didn't understand the sarcasm that she spoke with. It would take her a long time to get use to things such as that if she ever would. "That sounds good to me," she shrugged a little, "okay," at the second part. "I'm Alma," she said deciding not to give more than her first name encase the people from Archmanachm would come looking for her. Though she doubted this would be their means of doing so though. They would probably send a lot of soldiers with psychic training after her or soemthing like that. Like her son Pointman. [/blockquote]

Vastra narrowed her eyes. She's still unsure how the door was broken down, but Alma wasn't being hostile. Vastra sheathed her weapons and gave a slight bow.
"You may call me Vastra, Alma." She proceeded to walk out the door. "I have transportation outside. My... companion... has probably stolen food by now. Let us hope she was more successful than I." Vastra turned around. "Wait here, I'll go get the 4-wheeler."
Vastra walked into the darkness, dearly hoping this wasn't a mistake.

Alma was unsure why she had given a bow, but she assumed that it had to do with her culture or something. She noted her name in her mind, repeating it a few times silently. "Food sounds good right now," she said thoughtfully. She knew the last time she had rode in a car was being transported to the facility the morning where she was put into that horrible prison. She pushed those thoughts away and nodded at Vastra's words. She walked over to her bag that she had stolen, not even sure what was in it. She slung it over her shoulders. She looked down at her feet they were cut up from the sharp ground of the forest where she had been running in. That and they were numb from the cold. Between her escaping and her arriving to this building everything was a total blur. She waited shivering strongly, hoping that that would make her body become warmer. [/blockquote]

Vastra retrieved her 4-wheeler. She gave a hiss of frustration, knowing that the drive back to the house Jenny had broken into was going to be a very cold one. In fact, Vastra was starting to get sleepy, which was never a good sign.
She revved the engine and sped back to the abandoned building, turning the events over in her mind. She had a million questions, but the only one that mattered was whether or not this Alma was dangerous.
Then Madame Vastra remembered back to day she awakened and decided that she could have a positive impact on this woman like The Doctor had on her.
She pulled up and nodded to Alma. "Get on. Our hideout isn't far away."

Alma saw Vastra drive up on the four wheeler. She scanned it slowly with her eyes. She tilted her head slightly, wondering if it was a motorcycle. She went through some of the memories from her time before the Vault. She didn't remember much from such a young age. It had been... She blinked suddenly... How long had it been? For all she knew she could be 16 years old now having just had her babies. Time was different when you were in the Vault, in a coma. She decided she would ask what year it was when they got to their destination. She nodded and hung her bag onto her back and climbed onto the four wheeler. [/blockquote]

Vastra made sure Alma was holding on tight before she took off. She hoped Jenny had managed to steal some clothes, too. The Mammal must be cold, walking around with just a hospital gown.
Vastra was praying that it didn't run out of gas. If that happened, both of them would die, most likely.
The gas lasted. Vastra breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of their hideout. It wasn't much; just a one story cabin on the edge of town. She noticed smoke coming out of the chimney. Turning off the vehicle, Vastra turned to her passenger.
"We're here."

Alma's feet felt the most cold at the moment so did her hands. They were red with cold as she hung on to the four wheeler. She saw a small building coming into view. She saw smoke coming out of the chimney. She was hoping it would be warm in there when she shut the four wheeler off. She hopped off and adjusted her back on her shoulders. Her red gaze twitched to Vastra. Than up at the sky. It was cloudy all the sudden and white snowflakes started to fall. "Its snowing," she whispered. The last time she had seen snow fall was when she was 8 and a half. She tilted her head to the side slightly looking at it fall in the star light. Some flakes fell onto her long black hair, sitting on it delicately. She did love the snow. [/blockquote]
