Original
Name: Paxalaraduval, AKA Pax
Age: ~95
Species: Gallifreyan
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey
Occupation: Time Lady (in Training), moggie
Physical Description: An attractive child, grown into an attractive young lady-now stuck in the body of a cat. Pax was once a pretty young thing with fair skin, red-gold hair that fell in careless ringlets just so, and vivid green eyes that matched her chapter robes. The pride of her family in looks and grace, and if she wasn’t quite as clever as the rest of her generation, well, she did graduate, more or less, and she was young-perhaps she would grow into her intellect, like a kitten growing into her paws, if she’d just start paying better attention.
Now, of course, she looks something more like a large Gallifreyan cat, long bodied and heavy, with a great deal of creamy-white and ginger fur. Her eyes are large and gold-green-and very nearly the same color as the intricate green and bronze collar around her neck. An extra digit on her front paws makes her more dexterous than Earth cats, rather more intelligent and long-lived, as well as being slightly telepathic (particularly with other Gallifreyan species).
Personality: Cool, aloof, and well-mannered, Pax was groomed from the very first moment of life to be practically perfect. Children being children-even the Loomed sort-she had other ideas, but decades of reinforcement do tend to have their way. Somewhere under that shell is a very young Time Lady who’s much more interested in having a bit of fun with her schoolmates than sitting through another class. In fact, nearly anything was better than class, but the times being what they were, every child of Gallifrey needed to do their part.
Pax, the girl, was sweet and a bit silly, and endlessly curious, tempered by an overwhelming sense of duty and honor. She had an affinity for nature and children, which played a part in situation, as well as a natural talent for dancing. Pax, the cat, is no less aloof or curious, but lacks that history of training and schooling that made the girl. As a feline, she has no qualms about sticking her furry nose into whatever she likes, getting her paws messy, nor getting up to a bit of madness just because she can.
History: Loomed during the War, Pax never knew the peace of earlier times. Day in and day out, she was told she must do her best-become the best-so she could go on to protect Gallifrey alongside her cousins.
She was only newly graduated from the Academy, still wet behind the ears and blue on the backside, hadn’t even been bonded with a TARDIS, when it became all too clear that the Shining World would fall. A few particularly wise, or particularly astute, Time Lords chose to evacuate their children; refugee vessels, Chameleon Arches, anything that seemed like it had half a chance of working was put into use, often without anyone being any the wiser.
Pax was not originally counted among the numbers of evacuees, but enough of the younger members of her house asked for their favorite older cousin that she was added at, quite literally, the last second. Perhaps that’s the reason something seems to have gone wrong with her DNA rewrite, as, instead of a Catkind nurse to look after her young cousins, Pax is simply a cat.
Additional Information:
The green leather collar around her neck functions as Pax’s “fob watch”-the little copper medallion looks something like a locket, but, of course, refuses to open. At least, for now.
