Original
Name: Midhir (aka Lord of the Court of Spring, Robin o' the Green, Reynard Goupil, the Trickster's Son, Son of the Blind Fox)
Age: 343 when he becomes the Lord of the Court of Spring, about 360 during the events of Foul and Most Unnatural Murder.
Species: Sidhe hybrid.
Planet of Origin: Earth.
Occupation: King of the Court of Spring. Wanderer and adventurer. Bard. Trickster
Physical Description: Midhir is tall and slim, with fair skin and auburn hair that he wears short and an auburn beard he trims in van dyke fashion, and warm brown eyes with thin amber and gold threads shot through them (the patterns change slowly, writhing like the elecrical arcs in a plasma ball). He dresses in flamboyantly, frequently modelling his clothing after mens wear of the Italian and French Renaissance: a doublet and breeches of green with intricate blue curvilinear designs worked into them, and black knee boots and gauntlets of supple leather, and a wide-brimmed hat of green felt. He carries a rapier and dagger on a belt of tooled black leather.
Personality: Midhir is vast. He contains multitudes.
A common first impression of Midhir is that of a liscentious rake and a scoundrel, and that is probably deserved. He is as flamboyant and roguish as he acts, and he does have a love of gambling and drinking and fighting, and a well-known eye for the ladies of most humanoid species (and occasionally, but less frequently, the men as well). He is witty, charming, sarcastic, and fun-loving.
He is also quite serious, when it matters. While he enjoys (really enjoys) the perks of his current office, he also carries out his duties and obligations faithfully and completely. He has a love of learning that surprises those that see only his carousing rakehell persona, and his mercurial moods shift and change as required for the situation.
But no matter whether it be study or song, romancing or ruling, he is passionate. When he does something, he does it with his full attention and enthusiasm. Those who realize this, realize he is not the mass of contridictions he seems.
History: Midhir speaks little of his past, preferring to dwell on the present and the future (but mostly on the present). He has referred to having an education in the Seelie Courts, has dropped hints (and knowledge) that he may have attended one of the Gallifreyan Acadamies as well, and speaks of having been raised as a human for a time. He is also known to have been fostered for a season by Jareth, the Goblin King.
Those among the Courts that know him, respect his desire to remain silent about his past.
It is known that he was 107 when he left home to make his own way in the world. Specific details of his travels and adventures are sketchy, but it can be assumed that there were daring deeds and breathtaking escapes, and romances and heartsbreaks, and gain and loss and joy and sorrow. He tells stories about those adventures, from time to time. Some of them may be true.
It is further known that he had taken service with King Adomuz of the Spring Court at the age of 278, and that he rose through the ranks quickly on a combination of wisdom and charm and talent. When Adomuz stepped down as the Cycle turned, the man who by now called himself Midhir was acclaimed almost universally by the Court as the new King.
But he is very much his father's son. He wanders. And sometimes, he interferes where he is not wanted.
Additional Medical Information: Midhir possesses an exotic anatomy, when compared to other Sidhe. He has two hearts and a dual circulatory system, orangish-red blood containing protiens not found in ordinary human blood, a highly efficient respiratory system that allows him to function with limited access to oxygen, and greater tolerances for temperature and pressure and radiation extremes than an ordinary human possesses. He is also a Sidhe, a creature of psychically-controlled electromagnetic energies grafted and bound to a biological form that can be modified over time to suit his needs.
His mental discipline and connection to Time seem to support his claims to have attended a Gallifreyan Academy. That training, combined with the raw power of a Sidhe Lord, is a terrible thing to behold. Among the most common abilities Midhir has displayed are telepathy, creation of glamours and holograms, telekinesis and flight, songs of power (a combination of his Bardic training and his understanding of Gallifreyan acoustic technologies), healing wounds and curing diseases by touch and focused application of energy, and the conversion of his mass into electromagnetic energy to travel through space or the Vortex itself.
