The Tardis groaned and slowly appeared in Miami, Florida, in the summer. It was so relaxing here.
Stepping outside, the raven-haired elderly man gazed around, obviously enjoying the sounds of the water. He strolled outside, with the gait of one who had just been through action; ready for a period of rest.
The Doctor laid on a beach chair, an umbrella conveniently providing shade for him. He closed his eyes, paying careful attention to the sounds around him.
Splashing...
...yelling...
...playing...
...marching.
He focused on just that- marching. Where was it coming from? He immediately came to the conclusion of Cybermen, but it was less metalic. Metal nonetheless, but not as heavy.
With more purpose. With more passion. Soul. Anger. But who? He stood up, walking back inside the Tardis, where he had left Zoe and Jamie. "I'm afraid, my friends, that we may have a slight issue." he spoke as if he had simply forgotten his tea.
"Sontarans are approaching."

Jamie was resting in the chair in the console room when The Doctor had entered, informing he and Zoe of the Sontarans.
"Sontar'ins?" He says standing up. "Ya mean, those potato men we fought on tha' space station when we met you'r future self, and tha' Peri girl?"
"Whatcha' think they want?"

When the TARDIS door swung open, Zoe immediately leapt out. “I’m afraid, my friends, that we may have a slight issue,” the Doctor said calmly. Zoe looked behind him, at the land outside. The radiation levels hadn’t registered as dangerous, and Zoe considered herself to be a decent judge of Earth, being a human herself.
“Issue?” she asked, glancing over to Jamie.
“Sontarans are approaching.”
Zoe put her arms behind her back, a puzzled frown on her lips. The Doctor had said the name as though it were supposed to mean something. He had done it more often than not to her – in the Wheel, when he had said the Cybermen were aboard, only Jamie had been affected.
Much to her chagrin, Jamie once again seemed to know something she didn’t. “Sontar’ins? Ya mean, those potato men we fought on tha’ space station when we met you’r future self, and tha’ Peri girl?”
She crossed her arms. “Sontarans? Potato men?” she asked, inwardly cursing her lack of experience. “The men are made of potatoes? That hardly sounds like much of a challenge,” she said thoughtfully. “Wild boars eat potatoes.”
She slipped past the Doctor. Zoe looked back and smiled at Jamie. “Come on, James Robert McCrimmon. Unless you’re a – ” here she adopted a grievously fake Scottish accent “—wee little baby?”
She grinned good-naturedly.

"Sontar'ins?" Jamie said, standing up. "Ya mean, those potato men we fought on tha' space station when we met you'r future self, and tha' Peri girl?"
"They would take offense of the greatest degree to hear you refer to them as a production of the ground," The Doctor told him, "Especially from our little blue planet."
"Watcha' think they want?" Jamie asked.
The Doctor shrugged, seeming very non-chalant dispite impending attack. "Conquest, I should think."
She crossed her arms. “Sontarans? Potato men?” she asked, inwardly cursing her lack of experience. “The men are made of potatoes? That hardly sounds like much of a challenge,” she said thoughtfully. “Wild boars eat potatoes.”
The Timelord smiled warmly upon her. "My dear, they are not physically made of potatoe substance, Jamie was simply referring the anatomical appearance of the Sontaran species." he explained.
She slipped past the Doctor. Zoe looked back and smiled at Jamie. “Come on, James Robert McCrimmon. Unless you’re a – ” here she adopted a grievously fake Scottish accent “—wee little baby?”
"Indeed, come along."

"Oi! Jame Robert McCrimm'in, is not a wee baron! Not anymore at least. I'll show those Potato men what I'm made 'of."
He walks over and grabs his sword and hilt from their place on the T.A.R.D.I.S Console room coat rack and attached them to his kilt belt.
He raises his sword and shouts mightly, "Creag an tuire!" He bravely runs out to face the Sontaran threat, only to run back in and manually close the doors as a shot of blaster fire whizzes past him and hits the wall. " 'Right tha's not gonna' work. Any ideas Doc'tor?"

“Conquest, I should think,” the Doctor answered.
Zoe frowned thoughtfully. “If they were looking for conquest, why would they target Earth? It’s like you said, Doctor. It’s a little blue planet out in the middle of nowhere. One would think that they would target one of the more populated planets in a bigger system,” she said. “I would think that they were looking for something. The Dominators didn’t go to Dulkis to conquer; they wanted the radioactivity.”
“My dear, they are not physically made of potato substance, Jamie was simply referring to the anatomical appearance of the Sontaran species.”
A bright red blush spread across her cheeks and she looked down. “I know,” she grumbled defensively, annoyed at Jamie for once again knowing more than she did. Honestly, this was a trend that she was going to have to put to rest rather quickly.
“Oi! James Robert McCrimm’in is not a wee baron! Not anymore at least. I’ll show these potato men what I’m made ‘of.”
Zoe flinched as he shouted his warcry and stormed past her. She made to follow him when he promptly ran back inside the TARDIS and slammed the doors shot. A blaster bolt raced by them and Zoe yelped, behind Jamie in an instant out of instinct.
“Jamie!” she scolded, glaring at him. “That was foolish, even for you. You could have been killed! Or hurt. Or it could have hit the Doctor.”
