The ballroom doors burst open. Men in red and silver uniforms, the uniforms of the Chancellary Guard, began to file in. Following in their wake came a man in the black and silver of the Chancellary Castellan, a thin man with a hawk nose, salt and pepper hair, and a black and grey goatee.
"My Lords," he said, then "My Ladies," with a nod towards the Phantom and the Psychologist. "By order of the Lord President and the High Council of Gallifrey, I must order you all to hold fast and submit to Law. You are charged with dereliction of your Duty to your Houses, your Families, and to the Protocols of History."
He smiled. "I am the Master, Chancellary Castellan. And you will obey me."
The Guard raised their staser rifles at the words.

The Master stared at the man that had called himself the Master. It was a good likeness of his first Incarnation - the same smirk, the same nose, the same beard and hair. The same voice, dripping with arrogance and expecting obedience.
The thunder of the drums rose in his mind, a mind pitifully handicapped by being trapped in a human brain, demanding blood. The augmetic that replaced his right eye scanned scanned everything, noting the low body temperature, the distinct heat signature of two hearts. Whatever else these men were, they were Gallifreyan.
Suddenly, his left hand lashed out and grabbed the wrist of the woman that the Meddler had called "Phantom". "If you know my name," he snarled, "then you must be important. Follow me!"
A half-dozen mechanical tendrils emerged from cleverly-hidden vents along the back of his jacket, tipped with tools and weapons. Half-dragging the woman, he forearmed the door and hurtled through it. As he did, he could hear screams of agony from within the room.
"Do you have a TARDIS?" he asked, his voice a dead mechanical buzz as he saved his breath for running. "Access to my vessel is..."
There was a blonde woman ahead of him, with the heat signature of a Gallifreyan and only one heart. A half-breed, he thought, like the Doctor.
"You!" he shouted at Jenny, "If you want freedom, follow us!"

You are charged with dereliction of your Duty to your Houses, your Families, and to the Protocols of History."
He smiled. "I am the Master, Chancellery Castellan. And you will obey me."
The Guard raised their staser rifles at the words.
It had stunned her, not physically; no. Just quite her in surprise. He was accusing them for abandoning their home, their families. And he was expecting them to obey him. Who did he think he was?
Just when the Phantom was about to speak her mind, someone took ahold of her wrist and began to quickly leading/dragging her away.
"If you know my name, then you must be important. Follow me!" The man snarled.
"You know I can follow you myself, no need to lead me like a child." Maria stated in a semi-irritated voice.

"Yes. She's not far from here." She answered, and with a nod, she took out her Laser Screwdriver from her jacket pocket. "Just around the next corner and down the hall."
"You!" he shouted at the blond woman ahead of them, "If you want freedom, follow us!"
"The best option is to not argue with him. Just saying." Maria told Jenny before she neared the corner. Then asked Kos. "Mind telling me what your plan is, Kos? Or are you doing this as we go?"

Chaos reigned.
Jenny regretted her acceptance of the invitation within minutes of arriving. Soldiers, as she moved to the side to let them through upon their request, marched past her and headed onward down the hall.
Jenny stared after them in curiosity, “Guess that means the party is over then,” Jenny muttered to herself as she continued to watched them head through large doors some ways down the hall. She could hear the commotion plainly from where she was and within moment’s people seemed to be running everywhere.
“You!” A man yelled as he tore towards her from the room, “If you want freedom, follow us!”
Freedom sounded pretty good to Jenny, who absolutely hated being behind bars. Her eyes followed them with her eyes as they came closer and a woman said,
“The best option is to not argue with him. Just saying.”
Jenny had no intention of arguing, getting caught by anyone was not an option and so she spun quickly on her heel to follow the two assumed Time Lords without uttering a word.
“Mind telling me what your plan is Kos? Or are you doing this as we go?”
‘Kos,’ Jenny thought. ‘Why did that name sound so familiar?’
“Yes where are we going?” Jenny asked, “and what happened?”
(OOC: Jenny has two hearts as do the newer incarnations of the Doctor. ^_^)

“Mind telling me what your plan is Kos? Or are you doing this as we go?”
"My plan," the Master rasped in his electronic voice, saving his air for breathing, "is to get away from that imposter."
“Yes where are we going?” Jenny asked, “and what happened?”
"We are going to her TARDIS," the Master answered, gesturing at the Phantom with a mechadendrite. "Somehow, in some impossible way, the Chancellary Guard of Gallifrey has broken up what was left of the Specialist's tête-à-tête and attempted to arrest us all."
He skidded to a halt at the end of the hall. "Which door?"

"This is one screwed up paradox... Isn't it?" She asked.
“Yes where are we going?” Jenny asked, “and what happened?”

"A rather poor attempt if you ask me. Did they honestly believe we would all just stay there and let them arrest us?" Maria sighed as she noticed Kos had stopped at the hallway.
"Which door?" he asked her.
"Second to the right." The Phantom answered as she ran ahead to her Tardis door, the key now in her hand and unlocked it. Opening it and motioning Kos and the girl inside. "Hurry unless you both want to be caught."

Why do I always end up in the middle of the fighting, and the fleeing, and all the escaping? Jenny thought as she followed behind the two Time Lords.
"My plan," the Master rasped in his electronic voice, saving his air for breathing, "is to get away from that imposter."
She had no idea what he meant by imposter, but she was well acquainted with getting away and she felt a certain amount of glee at the prospect of running.
“Well then, evasive maneuvers it is,” Jenny stated as she followed the two of them into the young ladies TARDIS.
It was a TARDIS, which meant it was bigger on the inside. But other than that, it looked nothing like her fathers, the only TARDIS she had been in, until now.

"A rather poor attempt if you ask me. Did they honestly believe we would all just stay there and let them arrest us?" Maria sighed.
"I rather think they did believe just that," the Master rasped. "Just one of many reasons I believe that other 'Master' to be an imposter. Now, which door?"
"Second to the right." The Phantom answered as she ran ahead to her Tardis door, the key now in her hand and unlocked it. Opening it and motioning Kos and the girl inside. "Hurry unless you both want to be caught."
The Master ducked through the door, chuckling with dry amusement at Jenny's “Well then, evasive maneuvers it is.” He looked around curiously. "I don't recognize this layout," he said. "What model is your TARDIS?"
Just then, the TARDIS proximity alarms began to sound. The displays showed two TARDISes of unknown type, small and overpowered, approaching through the Vortex at high speed.
"Attention, unidentified TARDIS," a stern voice said over the communications array. "Power down your Time Rotor and defensive screens, and prepare to be boarded. By order of the Lord President and the High Council, you are duly charged to submit to Law"
The Master lifted his one eyebrow. "I believe that now would be a good time for those evasive maneuvers..."

"Well then, evasive maneuvers it is." The blond gal noted.
He looked around curiously. "I don't recognize this layout," he said. "What model is your TARDIS?"
"Type 70, Mark II." Maria answered as she focused on her console, when the alarms went off signaling the two TARDISes closing in. She could feel a headache coming on, as she continued her work.
"I deactivated the isomorphic controls for now, Kos. It'll be easier to fly with more then one pilot and I'm sure she'll help you out." Maria told him, as she quickly got out the com device. "Now I have something to say about all this utter nonsense. So we better get out of here quickly or lead them into a new sun..."
She pressed the com button so she could reply to them,
"Hello, We'll be sure to do that. Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say that none of us have the time to submit to your backwards laws at this moment." She replied with a smile on her face, her tone was a mix between sarcastic peevishness, and feigned serenity. She worked on her console, her mind thinking up different "We're very busy, so how about we say ta-ta for now, and reschedule this inane meeting at another time."
Maria briskly turned off the com and smiled at the two before her. "Let's get going shall we?" she asked as she quickly cracked her fingers and got to work.
