Mei is a rather interesting young woman in her looks. It's rather odd you find one child with silver hair on an Island - but two? Mei had silver-blond hair. Almost whitish grey in it's color. It didn't look like Christmas tinsel or anything, but the easiest way to describe it was silver. She often got teased and called an old woman, but she ignores it. Her eyes are a pale blue with a darker ring of color on the outer edges.
These eyes when she is angered will become a startling blue and green combination with a cat pupil. This is when one of her other 'selfs' becomes apparent. This is only brought on by EXTREME anger. Something that induces rage in the female.
Her normal clothes are blue pants with gray-silver leather belts crossing her hips, a pair of ankle high black boots. Her hands wear sleeves that go up to her elbows, these are a darker blue and have buckles and straps across the backs of her arms. They are held up by a band of black leather that latches into place. Her torso is covered by a very dark grey v-neck shirt that shoves her belly.
Across her lower rib cage is a blue waist cinch that tucks in her inset waist even future. There is a gray vest that covers her chest and goes to the top of the waist cinch. It has two pockets on it and three belts that hold it closed. One at the bottom - two at the top.
She holds all her hair back to the right side of her face, over her shoulder, with a leather band. Always around her neck is a locket. Inside is the picture she drew during one of the island parties. It has Riku, Sora, and Kairi. The people she wanted so much to get close to, so much she wanted to Emulate them. The images of their bravery are what got her through the darkness.
Her Lady of Darkness form is one that is completely bare of all trappings of her mortal form. Except for her hair tie. Around her eyes is wrapped a cloth that is slipping from her right eye. You can see her whole eye is encompassed by a dark blue color. Empty of all emotions. Her body is covered in chains, and there happens to be a blue palm sized orb she carries. Inside it swirls with darkness, this is her focal for her Lady of Darkness form.

Personality:
To explain a little about Mei, she's complicated. A fractured personality, that are three aspects of the same woman. Now toss in that she has more voices in her head then the Wutang clan, and you have a bit of a story to tell. Mei has three aspects, that people normally meet. One that has yet to manifest, as Jenova has never gained that much control of her. This is something the Worlds can thank, quite happily.
Why she was ever created, only Hojo know. Actually Mei knows why she was created, she has deciphered her mothers diary. She was created to be a weapon, a tool of destruction. Just like her brother, and just like the other woman that mothered her genetics. Someone gave Hojo a little too much power and reign, in his labs. This resulted in Mei.
Now Mei is still much like she was on the islands. Most of the time, she's a very shy young woman. She seems haunted by the past that she tries not to speak of, and does her best to be kind to anyone she meets. She is a very closed in and quiet young woman. One that is dying, and knows it. And is happy to accept her fate, she just hopes she can atone for her sins before her life ends.
All of her life, all she ever wanted was to be friends with the three brightest stars on the Island. Mei was the shy girl, the bookworm, the quiet one that most of the other children picked on. All of her emulations of the three she wanted to be friends with, only brought teasing from the other children. Life was not easy for her growing up, and neither was puberty. Especially considering her heritage.
Mei likes helping people, when she is in her right mind. But as she rarely leaves the Corridors of Darkness, this is something that is a bit difficult. Due to her rapidly deteriorating state of mind and form, she fears that every time she is around normal people. She may devolve into a state of no return.
Now for the last five years Mei has been in the Corridors of Darkness, this has a profound effect on normal people for short times. In this five years, she has the constant voice of a woman in her mind. As well as the voice of the heartless that surround her. Oh they aren't quite as stupid as one would assume, and that is where the problems start. These voices, constantly give her a slip of what reality is. Sometimes she barely even remembers her name.
But always, when she clutches her locket, her one light, she remembers everything with startling clarity. Who she is, what she is. As well as what she has done.
In those five years, two aspects have made themselves known. If the young woman allows her sorrow to consume her, or uses her ability with the heartless too much, she is consumed by the darkness around her. Nearly forgets what she does. She usually tries to keep heartless from hurting people, but the only thing that Sorrow wishes for is for others to hurt and ache just as bad as she has.
Unfortunately, the other aspect is much more violent. Mei often has to keep herself in a constant state of smiling, or thinking on happy things, to keep this aspect from manifesting. It doesn't work, not for long at least. Her anger brings out the Jenova cells in her genetics, full swing at that. Causing her to allow herself to follow the rulings of the woman in her mind.
This has caused her to hate herself, and fear that she has no true redemption. She believes that she has to atone for the sins caused by her other aspects, and as such she must wander the corridors in hope that some day she may do something.
History:
Mei's history starts before even her birth. Her mother was a SOLDIER for ShinRa, she intended to reach first class. But someone had his eyes on her. He noticed her innate ability, to draw the darkness of someones heart into physical form. Not only that, but control it. She also seemed to have some sort of control of fiends. He realized that though she was much more advanced at it now, that was not how it always had been.
Kumiko Kuroi's infusions of Mako and Jenova cells, as per SOLDIER regulation, had produced a stronger grip on her bloodline abilities. Hojo wanted to further that, and find out how powerful an offspring would be. With Sephiroth, Genesis, and Angeal at the head of SOLDIER, there was no real need for another SOLIDER First class. Especially a female. So it was easy for Hojo to manipulate the higher ups into giving him Kumiko.
This experiment was nothing like what he did with Lucrecia. No some man, a man he didn't know, had appeared to him. Giving him knowledge of procedures that he did not yet know. Genetic manipulations that he was fascinated with. This man never gave his name, but simply left saying he had a Time War to fight in. Hojo didn't know what that was, and didn't care.
He began his experimentation by taking one of Kumiko's eggs, while she was under heavy sedation. At which point he took one of his own seed, and used the genetic manipulation the man had given him. Hojo was going to create a goddess, like Jenova herself. Yes he was even going to decide the gender of the child. That was the power the other man had given him. In the past, all female experiments born had perished or turned into unimaginable monsters.
Taking Kumiko's egg, and his seed, he created his Goddess. He removed the genetic coding of his own cells from the seed , replacing them with Jenova's. Then he spent the first process of the developmental stage enhancing the abilities of the fetus, and making sure it would be female. Then implanting it in Kumiko's womb, he waited for his creation to be born.
Unfortunately, Hojo was a fickle man, and became bored. He was embittered by past failures, and decided that it was best to terminate the project. For a later date. He locked Kumiko in a Mako Stasis Crystal, much like he had Lucrezia, and forgot about her. Everyone forgot about her.
At least that was Hojo's hope.
When Midgar was destroyed, the explosion of the dying world flung not only Lucrezia's crystal, but Kumiko's. Sending it through the space between worlds, where it crashed on a sandy beach, shattering and sending small pretty stones all across the Island. Kumiko awakened, to find herself in a new world and a strange one at that.
Not forgetting her training, she went to the leader of this new place. Finding the highest standing member to be a 'Mayor'. She spoke with this Mayor, explaining what had happened, and he spoke of other travelers that sometimes came and vanished. Never there for long. He gave Kumiko the honorary station as his bodyguard, not that was a real need.
Kumiko birthed her daughter, and fear blossomed in her. When her daughter was born, she was still and her eyes where closed. The hair of Jenova's spawn - Sephiroth, was upon her head. The cursed silver white locks. Kumiko feared that her daughter would be a monster, till her eyes opened and Kumiko saw her own eyes staring back at her. As well as the sweetest smile in all of Gaia.
Kumiko raised her daughter, and kept her safe. She always watched her, and worried that there would be some side effects. Never showed. When Mei was about four years old, three strangers appeared on the Island. Each at separate moments. Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. She met each of them, and offered her sword to aid them. They kindly turned her down.
It was Aqua that asked her a favor, to watch over the children. Riku and Sora. She asked Kumiko to train the boys of the Island how to use the blade, saying there would be some use of it in the future. And thus Aqua left, and Kumiko did her work.

Mei grew up under her mothers watchful eye. She was always a bright child, but knew nothing of her mothers past. Or who her own father was. The only thing she knew was the uniform encased in a shrine like situation, in her mothers room. Where a lovely sword, and wicked looking gun, always rested.
Mei was a shy girl, and liked to watch the others play. She drew scenes, and wrote stories, leaving them in bottles around the Island. Her first playmate was a young red head, by the name of Kairi. And Kairi would be her last playmate. The young girl moved on to other friends, and forgot the shy girl even existed.
No one knew she existed, and every time she tried to act like the others and play with them, they tormented her. Particularly Wakka and Titus. Though she never knew what she did to them, to make them torment her so. Even when she wasn't emulating the other children, they picked on her.
From the time she could walk, her mother trained her in the sword. She watched quietly from the corner, when her mother taught the others how to use one. Fascinated, and enamored with her first and only crush, in these lessons. She took a liking to the only other person on the Island that even remotely looked like her. Riku. Unfortunately, she never was a courageous child, and hadn't the nerve to pursue it.
Time passed, and she grew. As all children are ought to do. A few weeks before her thirteenth birthday, things started to change. She started to have odd reactions when she was angered. Oh yes, she could get angry. Often in her home with her mother, when she spoke of how the other children treated her. Puberty had hit the young woman, and unlocked her deadly genetics. She was awakening as a weapon.
Her mother did her best to help her, tried to explain. But that chance never came. Just shortly after her thirteenth birtday, a celebration that no one but her and her mother attended, the Darkness came to her home. The Darkness that destroyed her home.
Mei awakened in a rage, a voice like acid in her mind. Someone destroys your home, someone destroys your world. YOUR world, this is your place to destroy. Daughter of my blood.[/i] The voice had hissed. Mei was in a rage, she hardly knew what she did. She raced from her room, dead set on trying to do something to stop it.
When she left her room, and went downstairs, she found her mother fighting with the creatures of darkness. What you dear readers don't know, is when a Kuroi female births her children, her powers fade as time goes on. It's a trading of gifts, a balance. Kumiko could not force back the creatures. But she valiantly fought in her old SOLDIER uniform, her sword and gun moving quickly.
Mei was not capable of doing anything. She watched her mother die, her heart devoured by the creatures. That was when the other part of her genetics unlocked, and the sorrow encompassed her. She passed out, as darkness swallowed her.
For the next eight months, she was lost in shadows. Passing dimly in and out of consciousness, with bare memories of killing people. Her hands covered in blood. She had become the Weapon Hojo had wanted. It took another two months, before she fully came too, her true self. Realizing what she had done, she began to mourn. She was a monster, a twisted abomination with no real hope of redemption. She had killed, more people then she could even remember.
She remember destroying worlds, devouring them with the Darkness she could control. The Heartless, as she came to know them. When she awakened, one heartless in particular stayed with her. To normal people the sound he made was jeeb-jeeb. So Mei began to call him Mister Jeebs. He was her only true friend in the corridors.
She spent many years there, leaving the darkness on occasion to get information. But always afraid she may damage someone, and have to atone further. As time went on, the voices of Heartless filled her mind. If she was in a world when one was killed, it filled her with the pain they felt. The voice of the woman was neverending, and she knew no true salvation.
Last thing she knew, Sora and Riku had been separated. Into Kingdom Hearts, or was it the destruction of Xemnas? Had Xemnas died? She believed he had. Killed by Sora and Riku. An end to a dark reign. Mei remembered passing out, after trying to keep heartless back from a world, without fully slipping into her Lady of Darkness form.
Now she awakens, older and dying. She spent much time in the corridors, deciphering her mothers journal, keeping her mothers sword at her side. Using it to fight when she had to. It was all she knew, until a voice broke through the dark, telling her that her home had less time then she.
Additional Medical Information:
Mei has several interesting abilities, and many faults that are easily exploited. To start things off, she is telepathically inclined due to her Jenova cells. It is the one ability she can use without strain, and tends to use it more often then her own voice. Mei can receive and send Telepathic signals with no due stress.
She has access to Telekinesis, and Pyrokinesis, abilities she doesn't use often in her normal form. These are more often used by her Jenova aspect. And when she uses them, it's ruthless. She doesn't care who she hurts. This does come with many downsides, the more she uses her abilities the more she slips into the madness, and the more likely she is to die of using them.
She can commune with and control heartless. In her normal form, she can do this with lesser heartless (Shadows) more easily then others. She's like a beacon to shadows and they tend to flock her when she does go to worlds that have them. They see her as a motherly figure, and a protector. Doesn't help that Mister Jeebs has told all of them about her.
Her control of the heartless has many limits. Too many, or too strong of Heartless, will cause her to slip into Lady of Darkness. Which does have complete control, but only for a short time. She can only take this form for five minutes, or risk death.
Mei is incapable of casting any spells. She literally can't cast any, or learn any. It's something that has always been with her. Probably due to Hojo's tampering. This makes things rather difficult for her, especially in areas where Magic is heavily needed.
Mei cannot be healed, not by touch - not by potions. Any benefactor based spells only effect her half as much as they would others. In fact most don't work at all, and have the opposite effect. This is the same with all spells. Potions only head half of the health that they normally would.
She did not gain the regenerative abilities of the Jenova cells, why is unknown, but she heals at the normal rate of other beings.
Mei is dying, plain and simple. Because Hojo stopped the experiment before a vital step, she is completely unstable as a genetic being. All of the other beings with Jenova cells had one thing in common, infusion of Mako Crystal. Since this procedure was lost with Midgar, it is assume that only two beings know how to do it : Sephiroth, and Vincent.
Because of no infusion of Mako crystal, Mei's cells have deteriorated over the ages. It's why her powers didn't activate till puberty, as well. Without the Mako to activate, they laid dormant. Now activated and having been put to use, they are slowly ripping her apart.
When she uses her gifts she will have bouts of pain, even sometimes at random, that leave her gasping and trying to fight the pain. She feels as if something is trying to claw it's way out of her, and something is. With her cells degenerating, she is devolving into what most of the female experiments did, a true monster. A twisted form with no human form, and nothing but death on it's mind.
Though she did not get the regenerative abilities, she did get the extra physical talents of her other mothers genetics. She is graceful, and has wonderful speed. She is stronger then a girl her size should be. And has quite a bit of stamina.
She likely has a few years left, unless someone can figure out how to stabilize her genetics.

Mei awakened in a rage, a voice like acid in her mind. Someone destroys your home, someone destroys your world. YOUR world, this is your place to destroy. Daughter of my blood.[/i] The voice had hissed. Mei was in a rage, she hardly knew what she did. She raced from her room, dead set on trying to do something to stop it.
When she left her room, and went downstairs, she found her mother fighting with the creatures of darkness. What you dear readers don't know, is when a Kuroi female births her children, her powers fade as time goes on. It's a trading of gifts, a balance. Kumiko could not force back the creatures. But she valiantly fought in her old SOLDIER uniform, her sword and gun moving quickly.
Mei was not capable of doing anything. She watched her mother die, her heart devoured by the creatures. That was when the other part of her genetics unlocked, and the sorrow encompassed her. She passed out, as darkness swallowed her.
For the next eight months, she was lost in shadows. Passing dimly in and out of consciousness, with bare memories of killing people. Her hands covered in blood. She had become the Weapon Hojo had wanted. It took another two months, before she fully came too, her true self. Realizing what she had done, she began to mourn. She was a monster, a twisted abomination with no real hope of redemption. She had killed, more people then she could even remember.
She remember destroying worlds, devouring them with the Darkness she could control. The Heartless, as she came to know them. When she awakened, one heartless in particular stayed with her. To normal people the sound he made was jeeb-jeeb. So Mei began to call him Mister Jeebs. He was her only true friend in the corridors.
She spent many years there, leaving the darkness on occasion to get information. But always afraid she may damage someone, and have to atone further. As time went on, the voices of Heartless filled her mind. If she was in a world when one was killed, it filled her with the pain they felt. The voice of the woman was neverending, and she knew no true salvation.
Last thing she knew, Sora and Riku had been separated. Into Kingdom Hearts, or was it the destruction of Xemnas? Had Xemnas died? She believed he had. Killed by Sora and Riku. An end to a dark reign. Mei remembered passing out, after trying to keep heartless back from a world, without fully slipping into her Lady of Darkness form.
Now she awakens, older and dying. She spent much time in the corridors, deciphering her mothers journal, keeping her mothers sword at her side. Using it to fight when she had to. It was all she knew, until a voice broke through the dark, telling her that her home had less time then she.

Mei has several interesting abilities, and many faults that are easily exploited. To start things off, she is telepathically inclined due to her Jenova cells. It is the one ability she can use without strain, and tends to use it more often then her own voice. Mei can receive and send Telepathic signals with no due stress.
She has access to Telekinesis, and Pyrokinesis, abilities she doesn't use often in her normal form. These are more often used by her Jenova aspect. And when she uses them, it's ruthless. She doesn't care who she hurts. This does come with many downsides, the more she uses her abilities the more she slips into the madness, and the more likely she is to die of using them.
She can commune with and control heartless. In her normal form, she can do this with lesser heartless (Shadows) more easily then others. She's like a beacon to shadows and they tend to flock her when she does go to worlds that have them. They see her as a motherly figure, and a protector. Doesn't help that Mister Jeebs has told all of them about her.
Her control of the heartless has many limits. Too many, or too strong of Heartless, will cause her to slip into Lady of Darkness. Which does have complete control, but only for a short time. She can only take this form for five minutes, or risk death.
Mei is incapable of casting any spells. She literally can't cast any, or learn any. It's something that has always been with her. Probably due to Hojo's tampering. This makes things rather difficult for her, especially in areas where Magic is heavily needed.
Mei cannot be healed, not by touch - not by potions. Any benefactor based spells only effect her half as much as they would others. In fact most don't work at all, and have the opposite effect. This is the same with all spells. Potions only head half of the health that they normally would.
She did not gain the regenerative abilities of the Jenova cells, why is unknown, but she heals at the normal rate of other beings.
Mei is dying, plain and simple. Because Hojo stopped the experiment before a vital step, she is completely unstable as a genetic being. All of the other beings with Jenova cells had one thing in common, infusion of Mako Crystal. Since this procedure was lost with Midgar, it is assume that only two beings know how to do it : Sephiroth, and Vincent.
Because of no infusion of Mako crystal, Mei's cells have deteriorated over the ages. It's why her powers didn't activate till puberty, as well. Without the Mako to activate, they laid dormant. Now activated and having been put to use, they are slowly ripping her apart.
When she uses her gifts she will have bouts of pain, even sometimes at random, that leave her gasping and trying to fight the pain. She feels as if something is trying to claw it's way out of her, and something is. With her cells degenerating, she is devolving into what most of the female experiments did, a true monster. A twisted form with no human form, and nothing but death on it's mind.
Though she did not get the regenerative abilities, she did get the extra physical talents of her other mothers genetics. She is graceful, and has wonderful speed. She is stronger then a girl her size should be. And has quite a bit of stamina.
She likely has a few years left, unless someone can figure out how to stabilize her genetics.
