Since the other one hasn't been active IC in months, I'd like to put dibs on Donna Noble. There's already plans for her on some sort of storyline to get her back into the Whoniverse. Canon/Original: Canon Name: Donna Noble Age: 39. Species: Human Occupation: Temporarily Secretary (to her own frustration) Physical description, personality:  "Very ginger" about best describes her. She's quick to wit, prideful with a good dose of sarcastic humour. Believing she's not as lovely as most women around her, still being single while she's passed her mid thirties (also due to her unlucky taste in men), but she doesn't let it make her head hang down. She takes what is thrown at her and deals with it (even though she will have a good swearing at you for it). History: Donna has travelled with the Doctor, was turned into a Time Lord at some point but had to be brought out of it by the Doctor himself or else she'd go either insane or she would simply die. Her brain could not cope with the excessive overflow of knowledge. With her Time Lord abilities, she lost her memories of the Doctor and all the travels with him. The only one who remember what really happened are her parents, who have sworn to never have her remember in fear of her own life. For as soon as she would remember the Doctor again, she would remember everything and thus her Time Lord abilities would come back to her and most likely be the death of her. It's been three years now, Donna is at her 39th life year and she's dreading her upcoming birthday, the big 40. She's starting to get restless, realising she's still just a temp and hasn't really done anything with her life (or so she thinks). She works hard during the days and drinks fast during the night like everyone else, but feels she needs to break from that cycle and do something more now before it's too late. Very little did her parents know that The Doctor was not the only Time Lord still running around in the universe. |

Hey! no! I've been active, I've been making plans with others via PM, and checking in, the problem is without ten Donna can't do much of anything so it's been hard. If you'd have checked my log in status, I've been logging in at least once a month usually 2 or 3 times to check if anything's changed! So please don't take away my character for having trouble finding someone to rp with. I've been talking with a couple people on PMs to figure that out. You're only allowed to adopt my character if I hadn't logged in for a while, not if i hadn't been posting (and for good reason), especially without notifying me first of any danger because I haven't been posting IC first. PLEASE don't take my character away, not when I've been trying to keep up with things.

She's kinda has a point. That is the rule, and we do have Jenny playing Ten usually - and Shinska is apping to be Temp Ten. I've seen Donna one occasionally, and though she hasn't been able to make in character posts - she has been around, and has a point. She can't really do much with Rose or Donna, without Ten. Unless another Time Lord decides to sweep her up.

The rule is you must post in character at least every month I believe, and Donna/Rose because Ten isn't around doesn't mean you can't Rp with another doctor, or with Torchwood or in The Sarah-Jane boards. Anyways you weren't active for a couple months that effectively put both Rose and Donna up for adoption. And at the risk of sounding like a total rear end, First is a Global Moderator while you are only a Moderator, he can replace the characters of others as he see's fit. Besides you'd still have Rose.

No, the rule (though not actually found in the official rules thread) is stated in the Adoption Center description:
Adopt a Character
This is where you can go to adopt a character -- a character whose owner has not logged into their account in a month.
You state that I wasn't active for a couple months, but I was, just not in the boards. If one was in danger of being replaced, Ten would PM them to let them know and work something out. And unfortunately, Donna CAN'T rp with another Doctor since she was only with Ten, and after she left him, her mind was wiped with the point made that her mind would burn if she was reminded of him, leaving Torchwood, Sarah Jane, and other Doctor RPing out. I've been scheming up ideas to get around that so I could post with others (especially 11) but it's needed fine tuning. It's a hard situation. And I've been planning out a companion only thread with Amy while you say I've not been active, but the problem there is similar (though we've decided to try it out). In addition, we didn't have a Nine either or a Meta-Ten (or a Mickey) who was active until very very recently, so Rose was stuck too as she's in the parallel universe. I'd posted about my concerns with Donna and Ten and asked if Ten was back a little over a month ago, but only Sisilaya Vulmecura responded with essentially "I don't know" and no one else (nor should she have been caught up on everything necessarily, but it left me clueless). I've also PMed Ten multiple times to try to ascertain if she's coming back or is back and I somehow don't know it, but gotten nothing back.
Yes, I'd still have Rose, but Donna was my first love on this site. I truly love playing Donna, if only I could more easily (which I can with the recent Doctor additions), and I play her well. Replacing me like this goes against the rules that are set up, and I don't want to lose my character. Put me on probation for a month if you have to - now that we have Doctors I can RP again. I'm sorry if I sound a little sharp, but this means a lot to me and is making me upset.

The fact you cannot post because Ten isn't around is a bit untrue in my eyes. This is a roleplay forum, we don't have to stick to the exact canon. There are many original characters here that Donna and Rose alike could interact with, hell even the Eleventh Doctor. It's those weird meetings that keep this site going.
I don't really care who plays Donna, as long as somebody does. The reason I applied was not because I wanted to steal the character but because I'd like to have Donna around in the RPs. She's a great character and a great source of comical relief (Just imagine what Donna's influence could have differed in the All Together Now thread) and I missed having her around, she close to my own personality so I though 'If no one else is doing it, why not?'
The activity check in my eyes has always been actual IC post, even if the rules don't state exactly you have to agree it's pretty pointless otherwise if people only sign in. There is no sense in keeping a character if you never use it.
I'm fine with you keeping Donna, on one condition that you actually use her regularly, as in IC posts (and please, not just one post a week). Signing on your account just isn't enough to be active in this community and that's what that activity rule is really about. Seek out other RPers, hell I have no objections with the Meddler and Sisi having a run in with her, should be hilarious. If you don't have the time to post regularly as Donna, then perhaps it is the right time to hand her over to someone else.
And please, no pointing fingers "she said this, he said that" that's never helped anyone. It's better we just work things out.

Thank you. I'm sorry I wasn't active IC. I will definitely play her regularly, especially now that we have people I can in canon rp with. I don't go off of canon, I feel it's wrong to the show to take major canon events and do away with them. Now that Ive been brainstorming on ideas to bring her back to travel again with 11 and basically be part of the whoniverse outside her canon timeline on show, I think I have a really good idea and I'll post it (tonight. I'm writing this on my work computer and the idea is written on my home computer) and see what everybody thinks of it. If anyone else has ideas to bring her back in canon as well, I'm all for them. once we have her back in action I cant wait to do tons of threads, with 11 and with other characters! I'm assuming that we now have a ten, meta, and nine again, judging by the application board. is that still valid? can I contact them to discuss storylines ect? I'm just trying to get situated again since I missed that.
and I wasn't trying to point fingers. I'm sorry if it seemed that way.
