A voice rings in previously clear mind.
‘Again.’
Zachary Cross Flane turned in his sleep.
‘That blasted Doctor did it again, I don’t know how he found me again but he did.’
He sits up startled by the voice in his head.
“Is someone there?”
‘I had finally got some fool to that blasted rock where I had been imprisoned for centuries, and read the text and free me, and who shows up, him, again’
“I’m hearing things.” He says getting up and walking to the bathroom sink.
‘I’m just glad there was a suitable mind for me to possess, while you may not be one of my wolves, you’ll do till I find one.’
Deciding that the voice will simply stop if he ignores it, Zachary splashes some cold water in his face before looking up to the mirror. In the mirror is him with red eyes and strange markings all over his skin.
“What the-?!”
‘Shhhhh, I am assuming control.’
Zachary shrieks and shakes violently before stopping and smiling evilly.
Zachary walks to the door of his motel room and opens the door walks out, leans on the railing of the walkway.
“Beware universe, for Fenric has returned.”
Fenric snickers into the night.

Ace tossed and turned in her sleep. In the dream, she was trapped, wet and cold, in the undercurrent. “Nooo!” She thrashed around a little more. She had been having the same dream for over a week now, so sleep had been and issue. She wanted to wake up so badly, but the object in front of her in the dream was slowly coming into focus. It was a Viking ship. She realized that she’d seen it before.
“Ah!” Ace ripped open her eyes and sat bolt upright in her bed. Semi- covered in sweat she untangled herself from her sheets and got out of the bed. She stumbled into the bathroom. Turning on the tap, she splashed some of the cold water on her face and looked up at her reflection in the mirror. She realized that, with the fact that she had had so little sleep, she could barely recognize her own face.

Few people seemed to prowl the streets at this time of night, the young woman noticed as she buried her hands within the warmth of her jacket pockets. Sleep she knew would come eventually, but not now. Now she was awake, alert, and missed little of her surroundings. A small animal knocked over a garbage bin, and old man slept restlessly, huddled under layers of clothing in a deep recess of a nearby ally way. Music blared from the front of a small 24 hour convenient shop where a group of unruly teenagers smoked and laughed noisily into the night. The sounds of someone snickering up above the nightlife caught Jenny’s attention and she glanced towards the sound.

He couldn't sleep.
Why had he chosen a motel? He could've slept in his Tardis. Maybe he just wanted to get out. His head was stuck on 'ache' every time he dreamed of the guardian of time. He was constantly haunted by death itself, and honestly...he wasn't ready to go.
Alec heard strange sounds from the room across the hall, and burst out. What was he greeted by?
"Jenny?" he gasped in disbelief.

It was not a conscious thought or action. It was instinctual, the need to preserve one’s own skin that cause he to spin instantly towards the speaker and go for her side arm. The voice was unfamiliar but the name they gasped was plain as day. It was her name and her hand relaxed almost as quickly as it had been thrown into hyper drive from instinctual reflexes, barely brushing her gun before falling to her side.
She eyes the person critically and confirmed the information that she didn’t know the person. But they seemed to know her and her appearance seemed to have taken them by surprise. “Yes?” she question.

"Yes?"
He flinched. This wasn't going to be as restful a trip as he had anticipated. "Fancy seeing you here." His eyes were apologetic. "I'm...uh...I'm sorry."
With a sigh, he spoke. "I'm Alec."

The first thing that popped into her mind was not rage, hatred, and a thirst to beat his head in with the butt of her gun. It was a little more subtle then that.
“You’re sorry? Sorry for wha…” then it hit her. There was only one Alec she was even vaguely familiar with. He, like her father was a Time Lord, so he like the Doctor would most likely change his appearance at the point of imminent death. But unlike her father Alec deserved her wrath.
“You, you…” A look of dislike crossed her face and she balled up her hands into fists to keep herself from hulling off and shooting him. She breathed deep until such time as her fists relaxed and a steely calm over took her.
She studied him for a moment. She seemed nervous and uptight. Jenny decided that he reminded her nothing of the inconsiderate, rude, obnoxious, and generally irritating man she had met before. It seemed almost a life time ago when she had discovered the Time Lord secret of regeneration and that more had survived then her father could have ever dreamed or hoped.
“Great, just great,” Jenny muttered. Skipping the bright smile she reserved for people just met. She felt as if a dark cloud was passing over head and unpleasantness was soon to follow.
“Hello Alec, bye now,” she stated turning to go.

Ace had tired to go back to sleep to no avail. Head throbbing she stepped out of her flat wearing a pair of modified sunglasses so the light didn’t feel like someone was punching her in the head, she had modified the glasses so she could wear them at night and not have an obstructed view or anything and moments like this she was glad she had them.
She managed to coax her bike to life with a minimum amount of fuss on its part, revving the engine and smirked, she loved this part. Dropping it into gear she allowed it to fish tail for a second before straightening it out and barreling down the road. She wasn’t looking to go anywhere particular but this was better then sitting at her flat doing nothing.
It took a minute before she realized she had following a feeling and when she did realize it felt like she had just ridden through a arctic shower and causing her to slam on the brakes of the bite causing them to squeal. She set there for a second regaining herself before pulling the bike around and parking it and heading into the building.

“Hello Alec, bye now,”
He shrugged. "Okay."
He turned off to walk fastly towards the opposite end of the hall. It hadn't gone as he had expected, but that was no matter. What mattered now was where those sounds had come from- "Ace!"
Alec saw the bike before he saw the person. This was such a good day.

Jenny turned back around at the sound of a mechanical roar that sounded as if it had come from a mighty beast and noticed that Alec had walked away in the other direction towards it. Curiosity got the better of her and she too turned towards the thunderous roar and started to cautiously walk towards it.
“Friend of yours?” Jenny asked frowning, pretty sure that a friend of his would not be a friend of her’s.
But a little nagging subconscious voice in her head kept bringing up the fact that she said he was sorry. But what he did still burned her and made her feel hard and cold towards him.

Ace skidded to a stop slightly before she made it into the hall when someone yelled her name, then turned towards them. She looked at that guy something about him was familiar but for the life of her she couldn’t put her finger on it and the other girl also. Slowly she reached under her jacket and unsnapping one of the guns she had on a rig strapped to her back, one could never be to careful “ ....hi?”

She hadn't really forgiven him- that bothered him a good bit. Now she was coming back. "Friend of yours?"
Alec frowned. "Not a bit."
The Timelord neglected a handshake, for fear it might get shot off. "Hello, er, Ace. I'm not going to tell you who I am, at least right now. It might damage the authenticity of my operation."
Finally, a distraction. Something to end his days in a bang.

Jenny looked from Ace to Alec, not liking the way Ace was reaching under her jacket. Jenny flexed her fingers, ready to go for her gun at a seconds notice.
“Authenticity of your operation?” Jenny asked incredulously.
“Hello, I’m Jenny. Since I have no idea who you are, and the authenticity of my operation isn’t relevant, I think I can tell you my name atleast.” She said with a grin.

Ace resnapped the guns clasp and slowly removed her hand from under her jacket, looking from the guy to jenny, if they would of done something she figured they’d probably of done it by now “Nice to meet you Jenny...like he said names Ace.” she looked back at him about the operation comment “...bullshit.”

Alec cringed at her crude language. Honestly. "Not at all. I am not authorized to state the nature of my operation, so if you wish to pry you might as well stop now."
He realized how ridiculous he sounded.
"I-I'm sorry, but you wouldn't like it of I told you who I was."
