Physical Description: Encased in a Mark III Travel Machine, Dalek Alpha looks like most Kaled mutants, squid-like, palish green, and possessing only one eye.
The Mark III Travel Machine has a single mechanical eyestalk mounted on a rotating dome, a gun mount containing an energy weapon (often referred to as a gunstick), and a telescopic manipulator arm which is usually tipped by an appendage resembling a sink plunger. The casing of the Travel Machine is colored white, making Alpha a member of the Supreme Dalek caste.
Personality: As with nearly all Daleks, Alpha is extremely aggressive. He possesses only three real emotions to speak of; anger, pride, and fear. His anger is what drives him. Anger about the Time War, anger direct at the Time Lords, at the Universe, at the Doctor, and pretty much directed at anything that is non-Dalek. His pride, while he tries to hide it, is in his sense of superiority, simply based upon the fact that he is a Supreme Dalek. His fear however, is something that is in all Daleks, something that is shared by them all. Fear of the Doctor, fear of extinction, and fear that they may not truly be the master race that Davros has promised them that they would be.
History: During the Time War, thousands upon thousands of Dalek Progenitor devices were lost in time and space. Dalek Alpha's Progenitor was lost in the 1940s, set a drift in Pluto's orbit. As the New Dalek Paradigm retreated from that era of time, their retreat triggered teh Progenitor to activate. Using the trace amounts of energy from the retreating Daleks, the Progenitor spat out Dalek Alpha and two Dalek drones. Free floating in space, the newly created Daleks turned towards the retreating Daleks, towards their allies. Activating an emergency temporal shift, Alpha and the two drones left 1941 and found themselves in the year 2000. With the inefficiency of the temporal shift, they were unable to properly follow the Dalek craft, and as such, have found themselves stranded for the time being in the Milky Way Galaxy. Without a means to regroup with the other Daleks, Dalek Alpha and his drones, with their Progenitor Device, turn their attention to the only planet with the resources and means of re-energizing the Progenitor, and as such, establish an army of Daleks braced on exterminating all things non-Dalek.
