Canon
Name: Amelia Jessica Pond (or just "Amy", or "Pond")
Age: 21, or thereabouts - date of birth in the year 1989
Family: Augustus Pond (father), Tabetha Pond (mother), Sharon (aunt), Rory Williams (husband), Melody Pond/River Song (daughter), The Doctor (son-in-law)
Species: Human
Planet of Origin: Earth, 21st Century
Occupation: Currently - Companion to the 11th Doctor; Formerly - Kiss-o-Gram girl.
Physical Description:
Amy is a tall, leggy redhead of Scottish descent with a liberal smattering of freckles across her face, and deep green eyes. Amy often paints her fingernails a variety of bright, bold colors, and she does enjoy getting into the TARDIS' odd and varied store of clothing from time to time, though normally she tends to dress smartly. Amy enjoys showing off her legs, and she's not above reusing her old kiss-o-gram uniforms if the occasion calls for it.
Personality:
Amy can be labeled a "feisty redhead" - she's strong willed and bull headed, and has a temper to match. She's very brave and doesn't frighten easily. In fact, the Doctor has gone so far as to call her husband "Mr. Pond" (as opposed to Mr. Williams, which, according to Earth custom is how he should be addressed). However, Amy is no tyrant. She is usually quite reasonable and amiable, actually. She is also creative, open minded and adventurous, and she loves to try new things. Traveling with the Eleventh Doctor has been - and is - the highlight of her life. It is only slightly troubling that she's not more excited about spending time with her husband (who she often playfully calls "Stupid Face"), while she's ecstatic about going places with the Doctor.
History:
Amy Pond was born in Scotland in the year 1989, and her family moved to Leadworth - a town in England - where she spent the next seven years. The crack in her wall altered her life against her will, sucking in her parents and leaving her an orphan. And then, the Eleventh Doctor came and offered her an opportunity to leave everything behind to go on adventures through time and space with him, and to wait for him - that he'd be right back in five minutes. Terribly excited, Amy packed a suitcase and waited... and waited...
But, the Doctor never came, and eventually Amy gave up and was forced to face Reality. Over the next twelve years, Amy's aunt tried to force her to grow up and give up on her "imaginary" Raggedy Doctor - and she went kicking and screaming from psychologist to psychologist, as they tried to convince her that the Doctor didn't really exist.
But Amy knew otherwise...
She eventually took a job as a kiss-o-gram girl and fell in love with her best friend, Rory. And then one day, the Doctor returned. Amy helped him with Prisoner Zero and the Atraxi, and then he disappeared again, only to return two years later - the night before Amy and Rory were to get married.
Amy didn't tell the Doctor of her impending nuptials, and she agreed to run away with him - on one condition: that he return her to Earth before the following morning.
Amy - and eventually Rory, as well - joined the Eleventh Doctor on several adventures, and true to his word, the Doctor returned both Amy and Rory to Earth in time for their wedding - AND, he managed to patch up all of the cracks in reality, restoring Amy's mum and dad to Reality.
During their wedding reception, Amy and Rory again ran away with the Doctor, bidding their friends and family a quick adieu! before piling back into the TARDIS for more adventures...
After a very exciting honeymoon, courtesy of the Doctor, a pregnant Amy was kidnapped by Madame Kovarian and the Church and replaced with a Ganger who had been perfectly synchronized to her senses. It took nearly the entire nine months of Amy's pregnancy to pass before the Doctor was able to figure out that he had a Ganger on board the TARDIS, and he severed the Ganger's connection to Amy, destroying it - but not before promising Amy that they were on their way to save her from her captors.
Meanwhile, Amy gave birth to baby Melody Pond, but the baby was taken from her by Madame Kovarian, who had left behind a Ganger replica of the baby while she made her getaway from Demons Run. The baby was to be used as a weapon against the Doctor, chosen for this purpose because she had traces of Time Lord DNA mixed in her human DNA as a result of being conceived on board the TARDIS while it was in flight.
It was shortly after the baby that Amy had been holding reverted back to "flesh" and melted in her arms, that River Song joined them on Demons Run and explained that she is actually Amy's baby girl all grown up.
Additional Medical Information:
It has been established that Amy's baby has traces of Timelord DNA mixed in with her human DNA as a result of having been conceived on board the TARDIS. It may not be a huge stretch that Amy (and maybe Rory) has also been similarly effected by the Timestream, though likely on a much smaller scale than her daughter.
Also, due to the crack in her wall while she was growing up, the Universe had been pouring into her head (The Doctor’s words), and that she was “special”. Amy was able to remember people (including The Doctor) back into existence after they had previously vanished into the Void.
