"You don't have to trust them, but I do. They are the ones that gave me the children." She said as tears came to her eyes. "Fine I shall go to the infirmary, and when I prove fine - that it was nothing but a hiccup, what then?" She stated as she pulled away from him.
"Then everyone feels better, knowing for certain that neither you nor the twins are in danger," the Meddler answered with a smile. Then she pressed a hand to her forehead and he stepped forward, starting to reach out to her again, before he saw the glancing look she gave the Dreamweaver and himself.
He sighed a little. How do sane people handle this? he wondered.
"Now, fine... we shall go to the infirmary." She said and then stopped as she looked at the Dreamweaver. "The Guardians are the only thing I can truly believe now, they were some of the first - and they are the ones that make the games of this universe. Liken them to the 'Fates' that other cultures have."
"I have been in their presence, and know that they are real. Know that they exist, and know that if I don't do as they say, I lose what I have craved my whole life. "
"You've met them before, Dreamweaver," the Meddler added as he shadowed the Specialist. "In Kingdom Hearts. Both the Black and the White Guardians."
A short time later...
The Meddler looked at the display screen of the Infirmary as the armatures moved slowly around the Specialist's abdomen, and frowned. "Curious," he said.
He turned, and gave her a grin. "The good news is that you are absolutely right. The Infirmary finds no signs of abnormality in the twins, and sees no reason why they shouldn't be carried to term."
The grin soured quickly, becoming a mild frown. "The bad news is that you're right." He patted the central column of the Infirmary. "I tied the medical intelligence of the Infirmary into the monitoring systems of the TARDIS, centuries ago. And it's found temporal traces of both progesterone deficiencies and uterine wall bleeding - both of which have been edited away from the main line of history."
He eyed the monitor again. "The Infirmary recommends against taking undue risks, of course, but it does seem that the Guardians are taking an active interest in ensuring the health and safety of the twins."

Sisi stood behind for a moment as the Meddler and the Specialist made off for the infirmary, Robin making sure the woman did not harm herself. It were the Meddlers words that had left her stopped in her tracks, retaking her thoughts.
"You've met them before, Dreamweaver," the Meddler had added as he shadowed the Specialist. "In Kingdom Hearts. Both the Black and the White Guardians."
When she had seen the white guardian, he had seemed, felt like a kind man. Then how could they just bestow two children like this to a woman? Two children that would grow up to be pawns? Was the White Guardian really what he showed himself to be? Would they really make one person suffer for the greater good? Where was the righteousness in that?
She shook her head and followed to the infirmary.
-------------------------------------------------------------
She had been sitting in one of the chairs, a bit away from the two of them as The Meddler stood beside the white haired woman. He was looking at the display screen like she was. The Dreamweaver decided to remain quiet, taking in what she was seeing. She had been a midwife many times before, it was nothing new but she had never seen such a case and it worried her. The only person they had to go by was the legend of Jesus Christ. And they all know how he died violently at the cross.
And the Specialist took it all like she had been chosen. If she had been in the woman's shoes she would more likely have felt cursed.
"The Infirmary recommends against taking undue risks, of course, but it does seem that the Guardians are taking an active interest in ensuring the health and safety of the twins.".
She closed her eyes for a moment, not knowing what to think. She kept her face neutral though, she wasn't going to share her thoughts just yet. She would first see what would happen.

The Specialist had been calm as the process had gone underway. The Twins where calm, fine now. As calm as their mother was. Well at least they were calmer then eve her. The Specialist could already see history repeating itself. How many times had she had a female she liked, and started to trust. How many times, had she loved a man? How many times had those two cared for each other. In her long life, it happened several times.
Who was the one always left behind.
Me
How far will she go for her happiness? The voice had whispered. She could have her children, the children she had wanted for so long. Craved for so long, but it would likely be a lonely life. She could see history repeating itself. The Guardians had never said anything about her having her Meddler there to help with them. And somehow, through her own temporal line - perhaps some aid from other things, that she was going to be on her own soon enough.
"Thank you meddler, it is much appreciated. I'm going... to have to ask now, what was happening that was so important that I was called twice." She said smoothly as she closed her eyes. How far - how far those words echoed in her mind. That was when she drew on her past self, the Ice Queen, the empty heart. She couldn't handle letting her emotions rule, but pregnancy brought hormones, and illness. Unfortunately - the infirmary was about to find out that one.
With no class whatsoever the woman's head turned, as she was ill, lucky she made it into a bin. As she had been once a day, everyday for quite a bit of time. "Apologies..." She said as she grabbed a cloth to wipe her mouth with. "Disgusting feeling, but perfectly fine dealing with it. It's only natural."

He had been...forgotten?
He couldn't blame them, they were kind of in the middle of something. But... They had ceased to acknowledge his presence. His elderly presence. He couldn't deny it- he was getting old. He reached inside his coat pocket. They didn't really care about him, did they?
Of course not.
He felt the familiar cold metal as he pulled the gun from his pocket. Straightening up, he placed it at his head. What was the point of all of this? ...Why? He dropped the weapon, placing his head inside his hands.
He was being ignored.

"Thank you meddler, it is much appreciated. I'm going... to have to ask now, what was happening that was so important that I was called twice." She said smoothly as she closed her eyes.
"Important?" the Meddler echoed, smiling. "Oh, nothing important. Amazing? Distinctly. Once in a lifetime? Probably. But important? Not really." He shrugged, and grinned a manic grin. "Not unless you consider amazing, once in a lifetime experiences important."
He offered her his hand. "Come on. You have to see this."
She didn't take it, leaving him feeling a little rejected (and, somehow, acutely aware of the Dreamweaver's eyes on him). Right until the moment when she turned and was noisily sick into a container the Infirmary had supplied.
"Apologies..." She said as she grabbed a cloth to wipe her mouth with. "Disgusting feeling, but perfectly fine dealing with it. It's only natural."
He blinked. "Is it?" He glanced at the Infirmary's medical charts, and noted with some surprise that the medical intelligence was assuring him that it was. "...Odd. You'd think that would be counterproductive, and that we would have evolved or engineered away from that." Then he shrugged. "But what do I know? I'm not even sure what the Gallifreyan gestation period is, except that 'eight to twelve hours in a Loom' probably isn't helpful."
"Now," he said, proffering his hand again, "if you feel up to it, I have a sight to show you..."
The brilliant white light of the early Photonic Era still streamed through the open door of the TARDIS, starkly illuminating the main control room. "This, Specialist, is what I wanted to show you! The light of the Prime Event, before it was absorbed by matter and shifted into invisibility by the expansion of the universe!"
He spun in a circle, arms extended, laughing. "Light such as only the four of us have ever seen!"
And then he saw Alec, and the handgun at his feet, and the look of despair on his face. "Alec!" he yelled, leaping across the room and kicking the gun away. "What the hell are you playing at?"

Sisi watched Robin interact with the Specialist, it always seemed he was a bit awkward or nervous around her. She wondered where that came from, perhaps her royal blood? She raised her brows a little when Robin offered his hand and was quite blatantly refused, not really understanding what was going on. Then, her questions were answered as the Specialist reached for a bucket and emptied the contents of her stomach in it. Robin looked alarmed, but the Specialist seemed to think it's fine.
She straightened a little.
"Actually, I'm not sure how Time Lords carry through pregnancy, but with humans the nausea only occurs the first few weeks because the body is not used to the sudden change of hormones. It's curious that this far down you're still having problems with it, but if the infirmary charts say you're okay.. then I guess it must be so"
To be honest, there was probably nothing she could say to a woman who was her elder by several thousand of years.
And so, she followed them back to the console room silently.

She smiled at the TARDIS doors, at the light, indeed it was great. The light was pure, untainted and so raw she could practically feel the energy coming off it. Something stirred in her and she closed her eyes to revel in it.
"Alec!" he yelled, leaping across the room and kicking the gun away. "What the hell are you playing at?"
She was broken out of her revere by Robins sudden panicked shout, her eyes popping open again as she whirled around. She was just in time to see Robin kick the gun away. Her eyebrows drew up.. did Alec just.. did he just?
"Alec..?" She said worriedly. Where the hell had that came from?

The Specialist left the infirmary with them. Returning to the main control room. A small smile on her face as she listened to her two hearts talking back and forth. She watched the scene unfold and turned her attention to the light. "Beautiful yes..." She murmured as she kept her attention riveted on that. Her palm pressed over her womb. She had a task at hand, but who knew what pathways it would take her down.
"Hmm?" She said as her head turned and she saw the scene unfolding. Frowning darkly as she stared at the reactions of both Meddler and Sisi. "It looks like he was trying to kill himself." She said simply as she sat down and perched her elbow on her knee. Her chin resting in the palm of her hand. "Though I don't see why he'd do that, he'd just regenerate." She said softly and calmly.

"Hell's the idea, captain." he smirked.
Sisi had come, too. "Alec..?" She said worriedly. He could almost hear her thoughts. Bursting up irritably, he said, "Yes I just."
Oh, now you're worried. His glare told more than his words did.
A more nonchalant and queenly presence graced them.
He raised an eyebrow. "Killjoy." he deemed her.
Alec's gaze leveled at the Meddler, and he rushed in closer suddenly to whisper in his ear. "Something's coming, I feel it. Logically speaking, I am quite clinically insane."

"Hell's the idea, captain." he smirked.
"All right," the Meddler said with a shrug. "Why?" He glanced over at the gun, then back at Alec. "I mean it. Why bother to call me and ask me to help you, when you were trapped on that planet, if you're just going to shoot yourself in my primary control room?"
Alec ignored him for a moment to trade jibes with the Dreamweaver and the Specialist, then he rushed in closer suddenly to whisper in his ear. "Something's coming, I feel it. Logically speaking, I am quite clinically insane."
The Meddler clapped him on the shoulder. "Then welcome to my world!" he beamed. "I've been there for centuries! And I tell you what: crazy Time Lords have more fun."
He glanced at the gun, lying near the open door. "Well, crazy Time Lords that aren't suicidal do. Which reminds me. If you're in such a hurry to get yourself killed, why don't we head for Tara? You can work out some of your despondency on the Could've-Been King."
Ignoring the man's attempts to shrug him away, he draped a comradely arm over his shoulder and half-walked half-led him to the console. "And if he doesn't show up? Auberon used to say that the Courts of Spring were filled with the most beautiful women - well, and men too, this is Auberon after all - in the cosmos, and that they were the most hedonistic and licentious of the Courts." He smiled, setting the controls with his free hand. "Now, I'd have to say that he's wrong about part of that - in my opinion the women of the Spring Court top out at number 3 max, although I may be biased - but if violence isn't in the offing then I'm sure they can find you some other way to work out your despondency."
The door closed, and the time rotor roared to life.
"Or, if you prefer to mope, I can drop you at your TARDIS. But really, there is far less appeal to moping..."

The Meddler clapped him on the shoulder. "Then welcome to my world!" he beamed. "I've been there for centuries! And I tell you what: crazy Time Lords have more fun.""You seriously scare me sometimes." he replied cautiously. Alec followed his eyes to the gun, lying near the open door. "Well, crazy Time Lords that aren't suicidal do. Which reminds me. If you're in such a hurry to get yourself killed, why don't we head for Tara? You can work out some of your despondency on the Could've-Been King.""It's been awhile." Ignoring the man's attempts to shrug him away, Robin draped a comradely arm over his shoulder and half-walked half-led him to the console. Alec tried to resist. He really did. "And if he doesn't show up? Auberon used to say that the Courts of Spring were filled with the most beautiful women - well, and men too, this is Auberon after all - in the cosmos, and that they were the most hedonistic and licentious of the Courts." "Or, if you prefer to mope, I can drop you at your TARDIS. But really, there is far less appeal to moping...""Let's just go."
