Some Time Lordy business had taken them off Earth. The air had been a bit sulfurous, but the sunsets were beautiful. The doctor had some how pulled of negotiations with almost no excitement. He was very good at what he did, and the only thing he'd had to rescue her from was a questionable desert and one of the Trunicainites who had insisted he wanted to better get to know the female version of the human species.
Now, they would play. Side trip on the way home. She hadn't believed him that there was somewhere called "Planet Fun". She wondered if it was named with the same tongue in cheek quality that Greenland had been.
As it turned out, it was beautiful. A farming planet as far as the eye could see. The air was clear and blue, with a familiar yellow sun above. Lots of shops and everyone traveled behind strange herd beasts in something like hay wagons. There was cider and swings and games. The Doctor had already won her a cute plush duck toy knocking over something stacked with a lopsided ball.
Now they were going to take a tour by Dragon. Well, they weren't really dragons, but they were darn close, and she couldn't remember what they were called. They were as pretty and bedecked as carousel horses and long as a school buss from nose to tail. There were fancy carved seats with straps and things. Their guide showed them to Sarah's mount. They were bigger up close. She balked a little and backed into the Doctor behind her.
They were docile, pretty steady creatures, used to tourists, but large.

"Don't be frightened Sarah-Jane, they are quite friendly." The Doctor climbed up on the great beast then bent down and offered her a hand up.

The Doctor swung gracefully up into the saddle. The Dragon didn't look any smaller. To heck if she was going to be left here standing on the ground though. When the Doctor extended his hand, she took it, bracing her foot in the back stirrup, she launched herself upwards and let the Doctor help guide her, leg over scaled back and into the back saddle. The dragon shifted feeling even bigger than it looked. She grabbed onto the Doctor whom she trusted even more than the firmly strapped saddle. To her surprise, she found herself laughing with delight.
Even now the other tour goers were launching into the air one after the other until they were next. She whooped with excitement as she suddenly felt the power of the beast they rode, powerful muscles leaping up, huge wings catching air and laboring upwards.
