The Red Scare (Open)

Izzy stood next to ace looking at the screen and smiled, "Hey Bogie, I forgot that he and Lauren protested the McCarthy Trails." said Izzy looking excited.

he then Ran outside, "Come on Ace he's an old friend of mine."

"Bogie!" cried Izzy as he ran into the actors arms hugging him.

"Hey kiddo," said Bogart

Victor stepped out of the Tardis making his way to where Izzy stood with the other protesting actors. [/color=lightgreen]"Look around Ace, this is the place where everything is happing. If were going to get to the bottom of this we need to find the man who started it all. Senator McCarthy himself."[/color]

[Ace]

Ace followed the other two out of the Tardis and walking over to where they had stopped.

She smiled when Izzy seemed to be happy compared to how he had been a couple of minutes ago. “See Izzy not all that bad.

Izzy turned to see Ace and thought she would like to meet a very old friend of his. "Bogie, this is a good friend of mine Ace."

Humphrey looked over at her and smiled that famous lopsided grin of his and shook her hand. "Please ta meet ya doll."

Then Bogart looked over at the tall dark and brooding figure known as Victor. He didn't say anything but from the expression on his face you could tell he wasn't happy to see him.

Victor came over to where the three stood waiting for Ace to finish swooning over Bogart. there were more important matters at steak than visiting old friends. "Well if you two are done swooning over Bogart we do have other Business to attend to. we need to get inside and see senator McCarthy"

Izzy rolled his eyes. Victor got on his nerves so much, half the time he didn't know weather to hit him or kiss him.

"Well Vic, ya might as well come inside with the rest of us. were all going to support Danny. its ridiculous the way they accuse us with little or no evidence."

Izzy smiled. Bogart was so wonderful, nothing at all like the bad guys he played in movies. not many people knew about his work in supporting civil rights

[Ace]

Ace smiled and shook Bogarts hand back “nice to meet you Mr. Bogart. You have no idea.” "Well if you two are done swooning over Bogart we do have other Business to attend to. We need to get inside and see Senator McCarthy" Ace gave Victor one of her looks and lightly elbowed him in the side.

She smiled and said softly “Be nice Victor” she cleared her throat and said more audible “what is this Danny guy being accused of? Or is it just typical trumped up charges?”

"You got it Ace!" said Bogart, somehow when he said it, it sounded awesome.

Victor looked at ace and knew she was right. he was being a bit of a misanthrope. and usually tended to rub people the wrong way. it was good that he had her around to give him a good kick in the pants every now and then.

"You mean Danny Kaye, don't you?" said Izzy.

Bogie nodded.

"Oh that Joe Mccarthy is such a bully, picking on poor Danny because hes... a dancer!" said Izzy almost letting the cat out of the bag. but of course everyone knew he was going to say homosexual.

the group made their way inside. Bogie and Lauren Bacall his beautiful wife took a seat next to the trio as the trail proceeded.

Izzy turned to Ace whispering quietly, "yes, I'm friends with Humphrey Bogart, Impressed?" he said teasingly. Izzy like Ace. at least the Ace he met in the future.

meanwhile Victor sat quietly studying senator McCarthy every movement. he seemed to be sweating allot. even for a man who was overweight. and he had a facial tick. normally something that someone would over look.

"So, I suppose you here because there is some sort of alien involvement?" Bogart said to Ace. "Hey kid how long you been traveling with Vic?"

[Ace]

"yes, I'm friends with Humphrey Bogart, Impressed?" she smiled and messed his hair about a bit “Always kiddo....or wait ” she shook her head it didn’t matter she’d call him that probably more anyway, the thought caused her to smile a little.

She turned her attention to the Senator and listened to Bogart’s question “umm..well in the long run ya I guess we are but what drew us here was this one.” she reached up and messed up Izzys hair again before fixing it so it didn’t stand up all over the place.

"Hey kid how long you been traveling with Vic?" she smirked some “Not long... she whispered “Got any suggestions?”

"Yea lern to run, really fast..." said Bogie dramatically.

Senator McCarthy then excused himself from the hearings. getting up to go to the bathroom. Victor got up suddenly fallowing him to the bathroom.

Izzy saw Victor get up while ace was talking to Bogart.

Izzy kept behind The senator with Victor on his tip toes like a cartoon character. Victor notice Izzy was doing that and said. "will you cut that out."

"oh your just jealous because your to tall, my god what are you now 6'4?" asked Izzy poking fun at Victor's height. "your allot bigger than I remember."

"I'm bigger in every department!" said Victor teasingly.

"Cad!" said Izzy

They stood outside the men's room listening to the senator grunt, loudly. Victor got down on one knee trying to open the lock with his sonic screwdriver.

"you know this dose seem a bit, pervy. even for you."

"will you be quite. I'm trying to unlock the door."

then everyone heard the click of the lock as it came undone. Victor turned the knob opening the door. to see that it was a Raxacoricofallapatorian wearing the senators body as a suite.

"well...that explains allot" said Victor sarcastically

the creature lunged at Izzy and Victor chasing them down the hall

[Ace]

"Yea lern to run, really fast...” Ace laughed a little “sounds a lot like this guy I knew once.” she shrugged and looked around the smile disappearing from her face, and noticing that the guys had left.

“umm...Mr. Bogart. You wouldn’t have happened to see where the fellows went would you?” she had always hated getting left out cause for some reason knowing those to loose by themselves she figured would lead to trouble.

“Excuse me Mr. Bogart, I think I’m gonna try to go find those two to make sure they don’t get themselves into to much trouble” she excused herself a second time and headed out of the area looking for the guys.

meanwhile down in the west wing of the building Izzy and Victor were running for their lives. "well, this brings me back...just like old time huh Vic?"

"less talking more running!" said Victor.

Up ahead they saw a sign that said kitchen. Izzy, knowing his alien biology knew that Raxacoricofallapatorians were allergic to vinegar. "head for the kitchen." screamed Izzy.

They bolted inside the deserted kitchen. Victor locked the door with his sonic screwdriver and placed a broom between the door handles. while Izzy went about searching the cubords.

"This isn't the time to make a snak Izzy."

"I'm not making a snack I'm looking for some pickels or anything jarred so I can save our lives."

"why?"

"because he's a Raxacoricofallapatorian."

"so...?"

"so...what are Raxacoricofallapatorians allergic too?"

"Vinigar"

"score, Hot peppers and olives!" said Izzy just as the alien burst threw the door.

"foolish humans your curiosity shall be your downfall!"

Izzy threw the jar of olives in its face. it burned the alien like acid. he fell over in pain crying out an inhuman cry. one that could easily be heard by Ace...

[Ace]

Ace walked past a hallway after hallway, about to give up and head back to where she had been until she heard a loud crash and then an ungodly scream that caused her to grit her teeth and cover her ears “dear lord what the heck was that.”

“What have you two gotten into?” running down the hallway where she heard the scream come from. Seeing the busted door she very slowly leaned around the frame looking in, she couldn’t help but thinking she wished she had brought a weapon or hell even some Nitro-9 would work. “Think you guys could call the rest of the building in here as well?”

Victor stood in front of the injured alien and suddenly came to life. [/color]"In the name of the shadow proclamation I order you to tell me what your doing here on earth and what you did with the real senator mccarthy!"[/color]

"He's dead, like your going to be in a moment."

"Not so fast!" said Izzy who saw Ace peeking around behind the door. "one more move and my friend will blast you with the red fire extinguisher that's filled with vinegar." said Izzy saying a clever lie to save their lives.

he was right there was a red fire extinguisher on the wall. he hopped Ace would get the hint and pick it up.

"your one of the sleethen, arn't you?"

"the who?"

"An alien family of intergalactic criminals. The doctor ran into them a few times. But the question is what are they doing here with the Mccarthy trails?"

"Simple, Money. we were hired to come to this planet and cause fear and panic."

"Yes, but why and by whom."

"If I told you that then I wouldn't be doing my job every well would I?"

"very well then i have only one thing to say to you"

"and what's that?"

Victor grabbed onto Izzy's arm sonicing his Vortex Manipulator to teliport him and the others to safety. "Emergency temporal shift!"

and with that said they all disapeard in a flash appearing back outside on the steps of capital hill.

[Ace]

Ace took the hint and reached down grabbing the fire extinguisher “..y.ya’ she looked at Izzy basically saying dude really.

The Slitheen looked angry and very dangerous; it was definitely something Ace had no wish in meeting in a dark alleyway looking for a fight. So she kept the fire extinguisher aimed at him hoping he didn’t get wise.

Next thing she knew she was standing outside on capital hill “wait you can’t just leave that thing in there to cause havoc...!”

Victor looked at Ace, "Yes I can and I will, like it or not Senator McCarthy is a Raxacoricofallapatorian. History needs to be maintained. otherwise for all i know i could erase you two from exsistance. and in case you didn't hear, he is just a pawn. there is something bigger than him pulling the strings."

Izzy propped himself up. he had landed hard. his whole body aching. He heard what The victor Said, "so then what's the plan Victor?" asked Izzy "Steakout?"

Izzy looked at ace wondering if perhaps she had any ideas...

[Ace]

Ace reached up and pinched the bridge of her nose sighing “Your right, your right. I wasn’t thinking”

She went over and offered her hand to Izzy to help him up and chuckled a little at the stakeout idea “hey that sounds good heh.” she thought about it more for a second “...But they’ll know we’re here now so we would have to be extra cautious probably” she looked at the Victor to see if she was right.

"Yes that's true, now that he's seen our faces its going to be quite difficult to get close enough to him and see who exactly it is that he's working for." said Victor looking rather lost.

"well... I do have something that could help in that department." said Izzy reaching into his pocket and pulling out a key tied to a string. "Its a little toy of mine. it has a perception filter on it. It allow me to go around unnoticed. usually i just use it to spy on celebs and snap some pictures that i can sell to the tabloids but I figure it could be of more use to use."

Victor looked at Izzy his eyes widened with excitement as he swept Izzy off his feet spinning him around. "Oh Izzy you clever little thing I swear i could kiss you...in fact I think I will!" said Victor as he planted a kiss on Izzy who seemed surprised.

"Here Ace, take this and see if you can get close enough to him. it wont make you invisible so just keep enough distance to go unnoticed." Said Victor placing it around his neck.
