Ianto has a clean appearance. He could be mistaken as a tight rod and stiff. The candy eye man wears tailored business suits. He has deep blue eyes that speak all lot volume. He has pale appearance like most Welsh men and women. In his business suits Ianto looks like he means strict business and he is a very serious man. He looks like he has all lot of pride in his work. He can be hard to read because he keeps his emotions close to his heart.

Ianto is quiet. He keeps things to himself. He feels he is disconnected since he lost Lisa. With Lisa, Ianto was passionate, happy and down to earth. Lisa was his purpose in life and working at Torchwood. It was Torchwood One where he met Lisa. Ianto was devoted and passionately loved Lisa he had fought to save her. Ianto’s willing to go for the extra mile.
Ianto’s good to manipulate people to believe he had good parents. The one thing Ianto seeks is being accepted. His father had pushed him and tried to make Ianto be something that Ianto did not want to be.
He loves Jack in many ways. He sees Jack as a lover. Ianto does not understand Jack and what he had gone through but Ianto very protective over Jack. He feels sick and pain when Jack suffers. Each time Jack dies, Ianto feels sick and sad for Jack. He wonders day and night about Jack. Jack has Ianto’s unconditional love.
Ianto is scared of the deep, scary voice that comes from his heart. It is the evil side of Ianto. It is name the monster. Hurt and anger wanted to kill his own father, especially after his father pushed him to hard and broke his son’s leg. Ianto lived with those voices, but the one day Adam had surfaced the monster inside him. But he will never remember that, thank god.
Ianto does not like using the gun. He does not understand the scare energy the team gets when they are on an adventure. He does not like it. He feels uncomfortable with people who are extremely emotional.
The eye candy is very polite and speaks when it is proper. He is the man who usually gets along with everyone. He is the type of Grandma want you to marry.
History:
Ianto’s family was poor, but strict on dress code and traditions as old wives tales. Like respect the dead, don’t throw salt over your shoulder and don’t disrespect other people parents.
Ianto and his sister, Rhiannon were like playmates as children. He was never encouraged by his parents. He was told you can’t don’t do that. Stop that. No, you can’t go. He had an invisible friend name Lancelot that drove his father up the wall. It was his father who pushed him real hard on the swing set and he landed wrong getting a broken leg. His father told Ianto if his invisible friend was real he would catch Ianto.
Ianto’s father worked for Debenhams department store as sales man. His father wanted Ianto be someone and not be in sales. He got worse as his father pressured him to try harder. Ianto had gone the opposite direction. He stole many items from his father’s shop and other shops when he was a teenager. He was getting real good at it until he was snagged his father who caught him. To teach his son a lesson he dragged his son to security where Ianto confessed his crime.
Before working for Torchwood One, Ianto took the oddest jobs one man can get because he had a red flag on his back ground. Nobody would want to hire a thief. He signed up to three temporary agencies. He had tried to work as a vendor, but quit and did not like it. He had jobs as dishwashing, wait on tables and working in the fish market. You name it he tried to do it.
Ianto first job at Torchwood One was the office boy. He did noy have security clearance to see behind the scenes of Torchwood One until a Weevil escape and Ianto saw it. It was Lisa who was friends with higher management who convinced not to lock Ianto up. But give him a position as a junior researcher.
That's when Ianto saw how Torchwood One treated alien threats. Ianto met and fell in love with Lisa. The Battle of the between the Daleks and Cybermen destroyed Torchwood. Ianto had lost his job. Ianto knew about the other Torchwood bases because he was researcher. He researched on Torchwood Three which was run by Captain Jack Harkness in Cardiff, Wales. He found Jack and convinced the Captain to allow him to work for his team.
Ianto was found out about hiding Lisa in Torchwood Three. She was trying convert people in Cybermen when Ianto was trying to save her and make her well. He lost at the end, which tore his soul and his meaning in life. He was able to stray with Torchwood after being temporary relief from Torchwood. He eventually earned their trust back. Everyone in Torchwood had betrayed the HUB at least once or twice.
Ianto became a field agent, researcher and a jack-of-trades at Torchwood Three. He was learning things from Toshiko as a backup. However he was not clever to be real good. Ianto shared his feelings to Jack before Jack ran off with the Doctor.
When Jack was away with the Doctor, Ianto was about to give up working for Torchwood but that was his life. Perhaps, deep down Ianto was hoping Jack would return to his team. The Welsh man learned how much Jack meant to him.

Jack was no mood to talk. He was tensed up at the shoulders. It seemed I am done here. I should visit my sister, Rhiannon and her husband. I was invited to come for Christmas again. Rhiannon has been writing to me all lot and I wish she stop doing that. Sigh. I guess I go. Maybe a rift will happen now…or maybe not.
