The professor leaned against the tardis console, wincing and gasping. He had held on to his current incarnation, his 4th life, for so long. He was 560 now, and this incarnation had begun to go grey. Looking around he said “Great. Stabbed! Most primitive way to die!” walking to the door of the tardis, he shrugged off the suit jacket and then, with a scream, he regenerated. Five minutes later, the red energy faded. Looking in the mirror, he said “Woah! I look seventeen years old now! Sweet! Grinning, he ran to the wardrobe room, ditching his now baggy sirt. Keeping the formal trousers, he changed his shoes to a pair of converses, and grabbed a purple t-shirt. Putting it on, he also grabbed a black blazer and put it on.
The professor said “I’m missing something. I know what it is!” Looking around the wardrobe, he grabbed a pair of glasses, or “brainy specs” and also a fedora. Putting on the glasses and fedora, he ran back to the control room. Grabbing his sonic, his old python revolver, and also a small combat knife, he spun around the controls, setting them for the planet he wanted to visit. He was going to the planet hambas. It was a planet which was nice to go too. Landing the tardis, he left the tardis, and looked around. The professor took off his brainy specs and put them into the front pocket of his blazer. Cracking his knuckles, he yelled “Time for adventure! Anyone who knows THE PROFESSOR, follow my voice!” Laughing a bit, he knew that this was the post regenerative trauma acting up. Then, regenerative insanity came forth and he roared "DOCTOR?! DOCTOR?! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Amy was at her home in Leadworth, working on some rather mundane things, like doing the wash and other household chores, bored out of her gourd. Every so often, The Doctor brought her (and Rory, if he had come along) back home for a while before he would return and instigate another adventure. It felt like she'd been waiting, and waiting - but it had only been a couple of days since she'd last been with The Doctor.
Much to her delight, Amy could have sworn that she heard the sound of the TARDIS materializing nearby. She dropped the laundry and raced outside to meet The Doctor, who she expected to be right out there in her back yard - but... he wasn't there, nor was the TARDIS parked in its usual place.
"Oh, Amy... Ye'd best stop imaginin' things..." Amy softly scolded herself. But, before she could turn around to go back indoors, she heard a man's voice calling out for The Doctor - maybe she hadn't been wrong, after all!
Excitedly, Amy sprinted off towards the voice - but, she didn't find The Doctor when she found the source of the voice. Instead, Amy found herself looking at some teenager that she'd never laid eyes on in her life.
"Oi, ye ain't from around here, are ye?" the redhead asked. "I've nae seen ye in town before... But, that's alright. I'm Amy, an'... Did I hear ye say ye were lookin' fer Tha Doctor?" Amy asked expectantly. She soooooo hoped that he meant HER Doctor, and not just some local doctor that Rory probably worked with at the hospital.

The professor looked as a red haired woman came around. She spoke with a scottish accent, and when she asked if he was looking for The Doctor, he had a feeling she may know him. Nodding near violently, the professor said “Yep, looking for The Doctor with his blue police box tardis. He should really fix that chamelion circuit. Then again, mines not much better.” Pointing to his normal phone box tardis, not like the doctors, the professor spasmed and yelled a bit as another wave of regeneration trauma hit him.
The professor exhaled some red regenerative energy and said “Still cooking. Hmmm....Not good. Not good, not good, not good. I’m either gonna go crazy for the next fifteen hours or just go from mood too mood! Why do regenerations have to be so painful.” Pulling out his sonic, he scanned the area around him, and said “Nope nothing wrong with Leadworth. Well, apart from the name. Its not worth lead, because lead is very poor in expense.” Flipping the sonic, he noticed it spark a bit and he muttered “Need a new sonic.” Looking at the woman, he said “Now, if you’re asking if i am looking for The Doctor, then you must know him. Current companion? By the way, I'm of the same race of the doctor. I'm a younger time lord. He'd 900 odd years, i'm 560 and in my fifth body. We regenerate, cheat death in a way.” The professor then remembered something and sadly said "He's dead though? He died, permanently and now am one of the few remaining time lords. My friends gone. Dead." He had forgotten the doctor had been killed by lake silencio.

The doctor smiled quietly as he stepped out of the TARDIS. Amy wasn't expecting him for another week or so, but he wanted to see her, and plus, it would be a little surprise.
"Oh POND! Come along Pond!"
Suddenly, he heard Amy and another man talking, walking round the corner to see who it was, he came face to face with the Professor.
"Why...hello there. Nice hairdo."

The professor looked at the doctor as he came along, and when he complimented him on his hairdo, all the professor could do was have a look of awe on his face. He said “Your death. Its a fixed point, and yet, here you are! How could you have cheated it?! And last time we met Doctor, I was 80 years younger, and in my fourth incarnation. So, explain. How’d you cheat your fixed death.”
The professor gasped as he spasmed again, and winced. He said “I regenerated about 20 minutes ago or so. Landed here in leadworth, met your companion, and now I run into you. An old friend who’s at least a few centuries older than me, since i’m 560, and 6 incarnations ahead of me.” The professor put the fedora he had been holding on and said “Not a word about the fedora. Fedora’s are cool.

The last person Amy expected to meet was another Time Lord, which this man most assuredly was - he even said so, AND he had his own TARDIS (but Amy much preferred the lovely blue box, broken chameleon circuit, and all).
She recognized the signs of a fresh regeneration - she had, after all, witnessed first The Doctor at the tail end of his latest regeneration, as well as her daughter's, and Amy remembered that they tended to go a little nutters at first, but would even out at some point along the road (so to speak).
After he had started rambling on about dead friends (leaving Amy in a bit of an awkward, uncomfortable situation, as she had absolutely no idea what to say), a very familiar voice was heard, calling for Miss Pond. Amy's face burst into a wide grin, and she turned to face The Doctor.
He was here!
"Doctor! Hello!" Amy said brightly. "This is The Professor," she said, though... it felt like the two men already knew each other, even with their new faces.
Amy grinned again when The Professor commented on the coolness of fedora-style hats. "Yeah, they are pretty cool - I might daresay, even cooler than a fez," Amy added, giving The Doctor a goofy smile as she gently teased him.

The Doctor smiled, then sniffed the air.
"Something's not right here. Temporal displacement, and it didn't come from our TARDISes."
Eleven flicked out his sonic Screwdriver and scanned the air. It beeped green for a minute, the stopped. He read the readout.
"Metal. Alien metal. Why does this always happen wherever I go? Do I have a sonic tracking field on my back?"
Eleven smiled as he spoke.
"Come along now, Pond...and time lord."

Amy quirked an eyebrow and asked the Doctor, "Alien metal? Temporal displacement? And, here I thought today was going to be just another regular day..." With a slight shrug of her shoulders and an excited smile, Amy followed the Doctor.
She glanced back over her shoulder and called out encouragingly to the freshly regenerated Professor, "Ye comin', or wot?"
Amy faced forward again and hustled to catch up with the long-legged Doctor. "So... Where we goin', then?" she asked.
