"Ianto. Ianto look at me a moment." She had to see his eyes to know if he was putting on an act. How could someone like Ianto not know they were special. With a strong streak of disbelief she realized that Ianto did not know.
Boldly she reached out and touched the side of his cheek, baby smooth. "So innocent. So driven. Perfect balance at Torchwood. I'm glad you're here." A wry smile "You remind me of me when I was young."

Gwen had at first found it funny to leave Ianto down there with Sarah Jane, but it was giving her new perspective into his character to watch them. Sarah Jane was always the carer, however. She smiled a sad smile, having her belief that Sarah Jane was a good woman confirmed, but knowing that she always had to fight for who she was. It was bitter sweet.
Gwen figured that they had been there, alone, for a good amount of time, and fetched the book from her desk. She placed it inside her jacket, and began towards the stairs again.

It was not easy to look her in the eye, she had strong eyes. It seemed she had all lot of experience in life. He wasn’t the type to resist. She had a warm touch, a kind, but not the touch of a person who was seeking for romance, or touch of a murder.
His mother or father never said that to him and she was not encouraging. Sarah Jane was an encourager. “You sound like my father,” he said looking to the side. It was a lie. “Minus the hand on the cheek,” he gave her a small smile.
He looked at her gun. “Do you clean it?” a great change in conversation.

"Actually" she said as she almost casually fussed with the settings. "Since it works on vibrations, what it really needs is the low frequency 'Shake and Bake' Setting, then it's just hold on tight and will the trigger. It will loosen your teeth if you're not ready for it. Wanna try? Shakes everything loose."

He was observing the gun. He was not a fan of guns. This one was not from Earth, it was larger. The inner side of him wanted. It had liked guns. He figured he had nothing. “Does Jack know you have it?” it was true. Jack had a strict rule that no alien artefacts are not allowed out of Torchwood. He picked it up. He was slowly and carefully handling it. It felt odd. He allowed Sarah guide to through the steps. And he let it go. “WOAH!” was his response. He quickly placed it back in and said nothing. It felt good but it was filled with anger emotions.

She stayed close, her arms outside of his if Ianto were to loose his grip. She shows him the prime and the read out, and tells him how to just think about pulling the trigger.
He shouted and nearly dropped it. She took it in her arms. "Not bad, Ianto. Not bad. And I don't answer to Jack. This is mine. I'm sorry I asked you to try, you look faint, are you alright?"

Gwen's foot reached the bottom of the stairwell right as she heard a blast. Ianto was firing the Sontaran Blaster. "Well, Ianto, if you shot that well all the time I'd never have to work a double shift again." She chuckled, looking at the smoldering cutout, if the pile of slag could be called that now.
Gwen turned towards Ianto and Sarah Jane. "Well, I guess if Ianto's here no point in not telling him too. Ready to hear some of these passages, Sarah Jane? They're a doozie." She groaned a bit. "Remind me to never say doozie again."

Sarah Jane asked if he was all right. He nodded his head. “I am fine,” he replied. The truth was he lied because he did not want to talk about it.
"Well, Ianto, if you shot that well all the time I'd never have to work a double shift again."
Ianto heard Gwen behind him. “Nobody asks me,” he replied dryly. He was able to use a gun and shoot well. He was never asked. It was like they forget Ianto had skills.
Gwen had a book and she wanted to share some passages to Sarah Jane. He nodded his head. He was curious as anyone because he noisy and likes to know what’s happening around him. It was his business that’s how he seen it.

"Gwen, never say doozie again." She said, as absolutely dryly as she could. looking a little sorry for Gwen to help drive her dig home.
She watched the interaction between the two and recognized it all to well. Ianto was there 'companion' and he chaffed under the protection.
"Ianto, it's because the like you the way you are." She called up the stairs at him.
"Gwen, show me what you've got there."

Gwen strode over to where Sarah Jane was standing, so that she could look in the journal. The old, weathered paper had been very thoroughly annotated; pink, green, and yellow highlighters and sticky notes had been placed throughout all of the book.
"Those werewolves, they weren't new visitors. They were old. I mean, really old. Flora starts talking about a werewolves back in the sixteenth century, and then later says that there was one at the manor." Gwen turned to Sarah Jane, while pulling out a paper from the back of the journal. "That manor is the one we were at, which is called Torchwood Manor."
Gwen breathed for a moment, and kept going. "She says someone came to the manor though, and got rid of the wolf. A doctor named James McCrimmon, with a young companion named Rose." Gwen flipped through more pages. "Then, she talks about how the Queen got scratched, and she had to fix that up. Remember that, it's important. But she must have been ill, or something, because she starts writing gibberish. She says that the Queen knights and exiles 'Sir Doctor of Gallifrey' and 'Lady Rose Tyler of the Powell Estate', neither of which are real places in sixteenth century England. But that's neither here nor there..."
Gwen went through the pages and found what she was looking for. "She talks about visits the Queen makes to the manor later. Red meat, lots of hunting." Gwen pulled out some more papers from the back of the diary. "I got numbers on the royal family. A ridiculous amount of hunting permit expenses and red meat imports, along with a bill that was secretly pushed through government to remove wolfsbane from all plant nurseries and greenhouses because its quote, 'possible use in drug production.' Past all of that, they have a giant ball planned for the next full moon, with all of Britain's most powerful." Gwen went back further in the book, near where she started. "Flora mentions the werewolf said something about the 'Empire of the Wolf.' I think that's what the royal family is planning!"

She looked over the old book with Gwen, not having realized she was more than just a brawn in Torchwood. But of course, Jack would find the cream of the crop.
"Gwen. This is some serious research you've been doing. I've . . . . well, I already knew. I have a press pass to the Grand Ball. I was going to tell Jack about it, I swear." She said, thinking of that promise, but . . . .well, she didn't want it to turn into a pile of dead royals and tattered high class folk. "Were you going to tell Jack?"
Mostly, what she's thinking that moment is how fun it would be to take Gwen clothes shopping for a Royal Ball.

Ianto was listening what Gwen was sharing to Sarah Jane. Those werewolves, they weren't new visitorsIanto did hear that right. Gwen was talking to Sarah Jane in the past tense on werewolf. ‘That meant, they had encountered werewolves’ he thought and from the looks in some time. Why wasn’t he was told about them or Jack or Torchwood.
Placing his hands on the railing, Ianto was aware about werewolves but it was a fairy tale in Torchwood One. It was a joke in the establishment around Halloween.
They were old. I mean, really old. Flora starts talking about a werewolves back in the sixteenth century, and then later says that there was one at the manor. Gwen said. Now, Ianto raised his eyebrow. ‘Who was Flora?” he was thinking. That could be Flora’s journal.
That manor is the one we were at, which is called Torchwood Manor. Gwen said to Sarah Jane. They had visited the old Torchwood Manor. He knew about that and he know Torchwood was Doctor Who?
'Lady Rose Tyler of the Powell Estate', neither of which are real places in sixteenth century England. But that's neither here nor there... Gwen was still talking and Ianto was wondering if that Lady Rose Tyler was related to the Rose Tyler the companion of the Doctor at Torchhwood One. It was the big topic next to the ghosts who turn out to be the Cybermen.
Ianto was impressed all the research she had done. It was remarkable. Gwen had connection because she was a police officer.
That was a good question Sarah Jane should they tell Jack? He was hoping they would because Ianto knows and not telling Jack was like betrayal.
