Susan twisted her hands nervously, out of her comfort zone by tenfold. “Attempted murder?” she asked, casting a quick glance towards her kitchen. She had killed Flynn. He’d regenerated because of her, and that regeneration had been wrong. She bit her lip as Alec continued talking, trying to find a way to get everyone out of her apartment. There were far too many people around her, and there were far too many things that were happening at once. And she just wanted time to slow down and she wanted it to speed up and she just wanted everyone out of her living room. Actually? She didn’t really care who was in her living room. She wanted to be under her bed, fetal position, knees tucked to chest, hands over ears, fooling herself that time wasn’t relative.
For a moment – a brief moment, but one she noticed nonetheless- he looked… hurt. She narrowed her eyes at him curiously, but before she could demand an answer from him, Flynn woke up. Almost immediately, any vulnerability Susan was showing disappeared. Like hell she’d let someone like Flynn see that she was doing the samba with a complete breakdown. “I wish people would stop collapsing in my living room,” she said quietly, glancing over to Alec as he politely informed the other Time Lord that the apology wasn’t accepted.
“Susan, do you think he would look good in black and white? Stripes, that is,” Alec said, grasping with Flynn. Susan took a step towards him, taking her apartment key hesitantly.
And then she felt the other TARDIS.
Susan tensed and repressed all urges to flee. To get the hell out of the apartment and run away. She shut her eyes, trying to find a happy place. “What’s going on?”
Stalk Susan Day? Annual Time Lord Reunion? Piss Arky Off Day?
Any three of those answers would have been quite viable and believable given the present circumstances, but Susan said none of them. She turned to the woman inside of her house. The girl was different, yes, but it was definitely the same girl that Alec had been hanging out with. A flair of jealousy stirred, and she stamped it out with her foot. “A bit obvious, isn’t it? I doubt you would have come without knowing what was going on. I don’t like people who play stupid,” she growled. She cut her eyes over to Alec. “Why don’t you take that idiot and your little joy toy as well, Dark Lord?”
