angels and daemons

[izzysmith]

as soon as Sara Jane uncuffed him Victor came to life. he rushed to Izzy's side looking at him with a serious face. "This brings back memories."

"okay everyone here's the plan. were going to re wire this thing to make us become out of sync with time by a fraction of a second. making us invisible to the angels. Victor you work on boosting that signal. if i'm right the Damon's will hear the alarm bells and come running."

"on it but Ill need some help!" said Victor.

"Sara Jane go with him and keep an eye on him!" said Izzy. Sarah Jane still had his sonic pen. she was one of the few people he trusted with it.

he then Went about re-wiring the circuitry to reprogram the morphic field to unhinge them from time. he took off his vortex manipulator cannibalizing the internal circuitry re working it into the field.

meanwhile across the room Victor reached into his priestly disguise and took out a scanning device of some sort with a little computer screen. "Sarah Jane aim the sonic pen over here and start aiming it at each of these columns until the jewels turn red."

[Sarah Jane]

She half expected Victor to rush her, but he did not. Instead the man was suddenly focused on the task at hand.

"Sure, Izzy, I'll just do whatever 'Vic' here, 'Scum of the Earth' tells me to." And she did. She had a good hand with the Sonic, but the trembling doors were quite the distraction. One after another though, the lights were going red, and quicker with each repetition of her chore.



"Izzy, if this is where you get trapped, then what do we need to do to avoid that happening? Or . . can we even change that? Where is the Izzy that sent the letter?"

[izzysmith]

"I don't know Sarah Jane I'll tell you later if we survive this!" Said Izzy sounding scarred. as he hooked up the last of the relay coils to his vortex manipulator he rushed to Victor's side.

"type this into your scanner." Said Izzy, "alpha slash dash ninner omega tango."

"But that's suicide."

"Victor Do as I bloody say!" screamed Izzy. with that said the lights went out for a few seconds and then the room was enveloped by a white light and suddenly Izzy found victor, Sarah Jane standing in the room outside of time. The Angels had sense they they had vanished even something in the room moving about freely even though they were looking at them. one might ask how that was possible and Izzy was more than ready to explaine.

[Sarah Jane]

It was in those moments that Izzy became afraid that Sarah Jane wished she'd remember just to stay away from him. He was in excellent control of most situations, unless he wasn't. By the tone of his voice, Izzy was afraid. Apparently so was Vic, so Sarah Jane followed suit.

There was a white flash, and everything stopped. Everything but she, Izzy and 'Father' Vic. She was astounded.

"How did you do that Izzy?"

"oh basically pulled us out of time. right now were moving at a much father pace than the angels. leaving them suspened in time while we walk away freely" said Izzy coming to life

suddenly Victor scanner beeped. "Izzy the Damon's are here. type six war craft is currently sitting some 500 miles above earth. awaiting orders" Said Victor with a smiled. at least help had arrived. "I'm so happy I could kiss you."

Victor planted a shocking and unexpected kiss on Izzy. It appeared at first he only did it because he was happy to be alive but in fact it was so he could get close enough to take Izzy's Gun from his belt.

He wrapped his arm around Izzy placeing the gun to his head andf then looked over at Sarah Jane "Okay now your gonna drop the sonic screw driver girly and kick it over here, or your little boyfriend is gonna get it." demanded Victor.

"Don't do it Sarah Jane!" screamed Izzy before Victor covered his mouth silencing him.

"Handcuff's, guns, aliens... brings back old memories don't it!"

"God I can't believe i ever dated you!" said Izzy in disgust

[Sarah Jane]

One kiss and Victor was armed. Izzy looked small and young in the older man's violent embrace. It made Sarah Jane feel ill to see the gun aimed at him. At his pretty head.

Sarah Jane took the screwdriver and slowly tucked it between her cleavage, circling around the Stone slowly to put it between her and them.

"I don't think so Victor. I think you're bluffing. Oh, you might mess me up in a pinch, but not Izzy Smith. You went to all this trouble to bring him here, to get close to him. Even if he wasn't such a lovely man, he's who you need to deal with the damons.. I don't care who you think you are, you need him. You're not going to shoot him. Why don't you just tell us what you're after and save us all some time."

[izzysmith]

Victor smiled that wicked Cheshire cat grin of his. "I must give you credit Izzy, she's smarter than she looks. maybe I won't shoot him, but I can do this." He pulled the gun away from Izzy's head and fired one blast at the center consul which released the angels from the temporal flux. Since they were now free one blink was all it would take for Sarah Jane to be taken by them.

"Victor what have you done?" screamed Izzy. "Sarah Jane, whatever you do. don't blink!"

Victor then made his escape leaving Izzy and Sarah Jane to their fate. "well kids its been fun. and Izzy, will always have paris."

"God I hate you!" Izzy said in frustration.

Victor Smiled. "I know!"

after Victor had made his escape Izzy rushed to Sarah Jane's side, "Sorry Sarah Jane but I don't have time for manners" reaching into her cleavage taking out the sonic pen. he held the button making it glow hoping the Damons would pick up on their Alien tech.

and he was right in a flash both Izzy and Sarah Jane found themselves suddenly teliported to the bridge of the Damons Warship.

the ship was large military battle cruiser. it was grand in size and must have contained over 300 Damon's. Izzy and Sara appeared on the bridge of the vessel surrounded by half a dozen demonic looking aliens. One in particular that seemed to be in charge of them stood before them with an angry look upon his face. "Izzy Smith, enemy of the Damons! you are charged with releasing the angels from there tomb. how do you and your human female plead."

[Sarah Jane]

Wind touched her. Wind? No. An Angel moving near her. She took a step back and it froze mid strike, only a decimeter from her. She shrieked and jerked away. Her fear had her eyes open wide and she wasn't certain she could blink if she tried.

"We're going to have to talk about your taste in men, Izzy." She said low as he did whatever it was he needed to do. It worked. The terrible frozen angel statues were gone. They were replaced by hundreds of moving damons that looked like big gargoyles come to life. Moving, snarling, and apparently condemning Izzy Smith and 'his female'.

It took everything she had to stand tall next to Izzy and not cling to him.

"Not Guilty" Said izzy in protest. "Don't be afriad Sarah Jane. they feed of of fear." he whispered to her.

"our interments indicat he is telling the truth." said one of the henchmen.

"However we can tell you where to find the man who did." Said Izzy trying to buy them some time. he looked around the bridge at all the consuls unafraid of the monstrous looking cratures. he still had the sonic pen. with one click he could have Him and Sarah Jane back down on earth. however he would need to get closer to the buttons so he could set the corordinats. if all else failed he could at last get Sarah Jane back on earth.

"my goodness look at this lovely spacecraft!" said Izzy stepping down from the trans-mat. He made his way over to the. "Course its not theirs am I right?"

"The spoils of war!" said General Skaar. "Now I demand you tell us where this earthing is for he has unleashed four cratures that we have feared"

"this ship was stolen from the Judoon am I right?" said Izzy. "If that's so then you can trace him with their DNA scanning technology."

"Yes but we would need a sample from the earthing in question."

"Then I require a boon from you Skaar, in exchange for the sample I want your word that Sarah Jane and I shall leave this ship unharmed." it was a long shot but Izzy knew that though they may have been monsters the daemons took pride and honer in their word as most war like races do.

He looked to Sarah Jane signaling her to make her way over to the teliport pad discretely with his eyes.

[Sarah Jane]

I am not afraid. I am not afraid. I am not afraid.

She thought about sunlight and dirt. She thought about good music and a new pair of shoes. She thought about how very long Izzy Smith had survived, well depending on how old he was now.

I am not afraid.

She had some ideas about what part of Victor she'd like to slice off for a DNA sample. Izzy was doing his usual fine job of dazzling the damons. This just might work. She was vexed when he signaled her to the teleport pad. Ever so casually, she began to look around at the rather lovely spaceship, no need to fake her awe. She used this as an excuse to move closer to the pad as if she doesn't see it or perhaps doesn't recognize it.

Look at the spaceship, not the devils around you. Do not be afraid.

She drew a hand along a railing, as if to test it's material, or perhaps check for dust. One more step, and she was half a step a way from the pad, eyes checking in with Izzy, hoping that if she was leaving that he was coming with her.

"Very well you have my word. in exchange for the sample. we shall allow you and the female to exit the ship unharmed. you have my word on that." said Skaar smiling wickedly.

"Fine then bring me the Scanner." said Izzy.

he took the Judoon scanner holding it up to his lips where Victor Had kissed him. it was brilliant the way he figured out how to trace Victor by the excess saliva on his lips. he turned to Sarah Jane "Victor always was a sloppy kisser." he joked.

with the data entered into the computer The daemons computers were able to locate Victor's exact location. it appeared as a bleeping red dot on the screen.

"He's in London!" said Izzy. "Rank sentimentalist!"

"The sample was to weak to get an exact location"

"Never mind that we shall have our troupes tear the city apart. we have what we need from these two jetizen them into space."

"but you gave your word!" cried Izzy.

"I lied."

"Yea, well i did too..." with that said Izzy dashed to the teliport using his sonic pen to Teliport them back to earth. as he sprinted across the bridge the deamons fired their electric bolts at him trying to kill him. however he was much to quick and in a flash Izzy and Sarah Jane were in the middle of London.

he turned to Sarah Jane who lye beside him. "You okay?"

[Sarah Jane]

Now she listened for everything was on the line. The damon's treachery was not unexpected, but she felt a rush of anger anyway and would have given them a piece of her mind if Izzy hadn't been doing such a good job of it.

She caught him as he rushed at her, steady him and then the world spun away and bursts of color and light. If she'd had a stomach in that churning instant, she would have emptied it. She lay on the ground then, almost instantly, in the middle of London. Izzy was beside her, also prone.

She lay there laughing a moment as the world spun. "I'm okay, I think we're all right. Are you all right? How the hell will we find Victor?" She asks, rolling onto her back to get up, glancing over at Izzy, who in fact appeared 'Okay'.

"Oh i have an idea of where we can find him." Said Izzy with that clever look upon his face.

He stood up helping Sarah Jane to here feet. "Back in the 40's during the blitz Victor took me to an underground bunker that held most of London's treasures. while reproductions where put in their place should a bomb destroy the museum or heaven forbid the Nazis invaded. Victor was like a kid in a candy store. However after the war the bunker was shut up and forgotten. so Victor made it his evil lair and uses it as a safe house whenever he comes to this century. Ill bet every sent i have hes hold up there trying to fix the vortex manipulator." said izzy.

knowing that the angels were still lose upon the world he and Sarah Jane made there way threw the london underground with nothing but a few torches and Izzy's sonic pen.

"You know Sarah Jane I heard what you said about my taste in men. Ill have you know that among my list of lovers I had the duke of Kent, Montgomery Clift, Rock Hudson, and Paul Newman..." said izzy sounding somewhat annoyed. he hated to brag about his love affairs. however Sarah Jane was dear enough to him that he wanted her to know that dispite a few mistakes most of his affairs were good ones that he didn't mind telling her about.

but as they drew closer to Victors lair they were unaware that he had installed some security cameras since Izzy had last been there. the lights flickered on and off alerting victor that someone was coming down the tunnel.

[Sarah Jane]

"Don't you know anyone normal?"

Then she laughed a little and leaned over to whisper in his ear a name she figured trumped all his. "Well sorta." She conceded.

An old bunker was about the last place she was hoping to go tonight, but she was in this thing now. That old letter was heavy in her pocket and weighing on her mind. If this Izzy had not sent it, then she still had to find the one that had. He was depending on her.

The Izzy Smith beside her went quite boldly into the old shelter, she thought of complaining, but in for a penny in for a pound. Her fears were realized when the lights cut out. She turned on her flashlight. She never went anywhere without one. It was a small beam, but strong.
"It looks like were not alone Izzy, I don't know if I want to be Victor or not."

She didn't want to see that horrible smile of his coming at her down here in the dark.

"Sarah Jane, I won't lie to you. Victor is most likely expecting us. if you want to turn back while you still can I'll understand." Said Izzy. he then reached into his pocket taking out his sonic pen. "Here, take this. hold on to it until i get back."

Izzy knew that Victor would search him. however he knew that the Daemons would also trace him to victor. and he didn't want to put her in anymore danger than she already was. however he knew that most likely the angels would somehow get a hold of him and send him back in time. he had to get his vortex manipulator. if he could get that before he was sent back he could send it to Sarah Jane in the future in a package and tell her to come find him.

He gave Sarah Jane a big goodbye hug. a hug that said he may never see her again. "Happy Birthday Sarah Jane..."

however unknown to Sarah Jane a plane brown paper pakage showed up on her doorstep this very day with those exact words written on it. It was Izzy's vortex Manipulator. with a note that had the date where he could be found.
